Love the sportsmanship of WSM and especially Trey Mitchell at 5:14, finishes last stone and immediately cheering for Luke also at end between Tom and Brian
Hey "The World's Strongest Man" channel, thank you for uploading all the competition. I know you get a lot of critics from hardcore strongmen fans who wanna see it live, or else. Just wanna say that new format, allowing the fans to see each competitor on each events is very appreciated. Take care and stay strong ! 💪
What Brian Shaw did to come back at almost forty and nearly win against all the young monsters is incredible. I think it's been a bit underrated as an achievement. He'd suffered nagging injuries and accumulated a ton of outside business/personal interests...and yet he almost bagged his fifth WSM title. Only a prime Tom Stoltman beat him...
I agree. Brian Shaw would be the greatest of all time if it wasn't Big Z. Both are incredible strongman. For all the titles they won, and their longevity in the sport. They are truly both champion.
Time will tell if Tom is in his prime. He’s just 26 years old here, strongmen on average don’t hit their best years until their early 30’s. Will be interesting to see if he can progress beyond his current limits.
@@cantilever Not at all, Big Z, Pud, Shaw, Kaz all won their first WSM before their prime years and lifted much heavier years after their first win. Tom won but look who wasn’t there, Thor, Hall, Licis, Novikov the reigning champion didn’t even make the final, all the heavy hitters from previous few years not competing in the final. I’m a Scotsman, proud of what Tom achieved, but the reality is it was a weak field compared to previous years and as I stated the prime/heaviest lifting years for strongmen is in their early 30’s. Time will tell.
@@jimsim8736 No. Z was absolutely in his prime when he won his first title in 2009 at age 34, as was Shaw in 2011, as was Kaz in 1980, as was Mariusz in 2002. Last year was a stacked field compared to previous years. Non-prime Tom would not have beaten past-his-prime-but-100%-focused Brian. I watched non-prime Tom in 2019 live and knew what his future betokened. Tom put it all together and is in his prime right now...
Despite that fumble by Brian there is no way he would have beaten Tom, specially when he was one motioning those 4 stones he absolutely smashed the Altas Stones, what's unbelievable he kept 1st all final
Was an incredible moment. Most people in my area gasped when Brian bumble that stone. Everyone knew it was over. Afterwards Brian told me when he was signing autographs that he didn't want another falling sandbag.
his meticulousness costs him many points nowadays, where the young athletes go for it, brian stops and thinks. Not something that you can do at this level in the middle of an event. he still does well just because hes brian shaw and is still a beast
@@ablueairheadablueairhead3215 sexism has nothing to do with it. It's a biological fact men ate stronger. My guess is you also think people can choose their gender too. Women are incredibly strong no doubt but the world strongest women would still be weaker then all 10 finalist
@@chrisfluharty3468 there is no "biological" difference between men and women. Sexism causes women to not weight lift as much, if they did they would hold almost all weightlifting medals because they are 52% of the population.
shaw lost crucial time steadying the second stone, didn't think he had to... Lost momentum and concentration right there... too bad. trey is a young monster. he got 11 reps on deadlift (in my book : ) ) maxime is explosive
Brian really wants his 5th title but I don’t think he’s ever gonna get it due to how fierce the competition is now plus Brian no longer in his prime :((
What do you predict for next year mate ? What about Martins Licis and Mateusz Kieliskowski coming back ? Oleksii Novikov, Evan Singleton, Bobby Thompson improving each and every year ? Man... Next WSM is gonna be hard to predict. The fact that Martins Licis won the Rogue Invitational impressed me. The guy seems to nailed his conditionning for competition all the time now. If J-F Caron can be injuries free, he's a great contendor too. It's a great time to be a strongmen fan don't you think ? 😄 Cheers buddy take care 💪
Interesting, I think that finishing first here gives you a really give advantage. Not only because it is better time than your opponent, but also the specific cheer of the crowd when someone finishes most likely affects the opponents performance. In all of them, one the other finished, the opponent instantly knew because of the crowd and quickly lost their tempo.
Showing all of the athletes on all of the events is a huge step in the right direction. Thanks for posting these for us diehard fans.
Agreed! As much as I can be critical, this is one the best moves they’ve made in recent years.
You mean broke fans who can't afford?
This is fantastic
Finally I get to see all the athletes perform in one go.
This is the best content you release when it is all in one format
Now only if they would stream it live like the Arnold's or Rogue Invitational.
If it wasn't for sexism the worlds strongest person would be a female and thats just a fact.
Brian would've lost even if he hadn't fumbled the stone, Tom is just that good. King of the stones.
fr
Yeah he lost it on the titans turntable should have used the same technique as everyone else
And 12 years younger
that walk with the last stone that Trey Mitchel did was extremely impressive. held up to his chest and then carried it a few steps
Tom is such a total unit in this event what a champ!!! and Maxime what a great surprise from him 💪
JF managing all five stones with his injury is quite impressing.
JF is amazing. Too bad he got so close to winning the WSM in 2020 but fumbled on the logs and knocked his position terribly
Tom immediatly reaching for Shaw is a moment in the making
I love watching these clips 8 months after the event, 6 months after it aired in the U.S. and 2 months after it aired in the U.K.
Thanks!

Tom's victory best moment of 2021
i wrote wrong
Is no one else not amazed that Tom finished his stones in the time of 20.21! Its an amazing coincidence.
It was meant to be.
If possible, plz keep uploading full events from 2020!!!!
JF beating Trey on this event with a torn hamstring is rediculous
JF Caron did all the stones while having a torn hamstring ... such a Man of Class he is
Tom just zoomed past Brian, no disrespect for Brian tho.
The winning moment!
This is so awesome watching these big guys lift those atlas stone balls like that.
I didn't Think that Nice to Tommy to Scream USA, and Im American
I thought the same man, but Tom won anyway so sod those guys :)
It's always like that, especially when it's Brian. I do find it weird but at least they're not going as far as Iranian fans in weightlifting.
@@MellonVegan Oh, I've never heard anything about that, what are they like?
The last stone weighs about 211 kilograms, it's crazy that someone can carry such weight
If only we could of seen it live
My stupid ass clapping, watching a youTube video. Every dang time. Lol
The end that’s brotherly love
The fact this is the same guy I see at the rangers games 😂
It’s cuffing season! Love this sport
Tom Stoltman is awesome. 7:23 YAAAAS!!!

He did 11 reps and only 10 of them counted due to time limitations. Still impressive
10 reps in 60 seconds. 11 reps in 60.2 seconds. ;)
@@lukasohlsson4120 yeah, he really struggled on that last rep but he hanged on and got it in the end. great effort
Is there a video in full of the final or do we have to watch the final in 6 or so 7 minute videos
6:19
Where's the full final video? 😢
where is the full final?
What is the weight of the different stones in pounds? If anyone knows?
Brian really wants his 5th title but I don’t think he’s ever gonna get it due to how fierce the competition is now plus Brian no longer in his prime :((
If he could deadlift a bit better or push a turntable...
True
This Trey Michell guy he surprises me.
And people laughed at me last year when I said it was going to be a battle between Tom and Brian......😁

The USA had a lot of talent in this one though everyone got all the stones up and pretty fast
Damn Trey is massive

Why are they writing Lbs???
This is not an American competition. It's a World competition.
If there's a stone event tom will win
american crowd chanting USA... and they wonder why the world dislikes them....
Edit... TOM LAD YESSSSS!!!... unreal man, absolutely unreal
Come on Tom, let the other boys win, once in a while. LOL! If Atlas stones, are the decision maker, the rest might as well go home.
They have to bend their spine like a cat to start the lift. This looks really unhealthy, not sure how they train for this.
