    Hey, I know this is an older video of yours, but...a constant lesson to people just now tuning in to know that the custom market is NOT better than using your SMART TIPS to what is safe and the best to do to accomplish what they want to their Glock pistols. I have learned a lot from all of your videos in the past, and I still watch them when applying them currently. THANK YOU!! I will call you if I'm in a jam or I want to be smarter.

    Love your videos man! I know its old but its good to come back to when thinking about stuff! dont know how many times friends glam out their glocks then fails to function, they dont understand mm matter in glocks, so you have an after market slide that was milled mm off and an aftermarket 2.5 connector, after market plunger/spring and an after market trigger and bar they are not all going to fit into glocks specs and so many areas have to be taken into account to figure out where the alignment is off. is the plunger spring to heavy from joe smoe kit, is the trigger bar fin angle off, is the connector bent out a mm. is the trigger spring factory or from joe shmoe kit. ive even seen aftermarket firing pins with the engagement bar 4mm shorter then it was supposed to be mixed with a bad plunger spring forcing the bar down few mm just enough to release.

    Johnny, when I changed my G29SF connector from OEM 5.5 Ibs to OEM DOT 5.0Ibs connector, I got a nice rolling trigger with not much wall like before
    which I like now, but when I checked my brand new G43x , I found out it has a minus (-) connector. I even did a 25 cent trigger job and it still has that hard wall prior to break.
    What I noticed is that the connector base attaches to the black triangle housing sits flushed, but the other half end of the connector sticks out sideways or bent more than my G29 dot connector.
    Will this cause that hard trigger wall?
    From my understanding, learning from your other videos, that the angle of the connector bar (minus , dot , 5.5 Ibs etc)
    determines the trigger wall. I’m aware that the new connector design for slimline is totally different from the larger guns. Looking at the slimline connector bar of the G43x , it’s angled with less resistance with the trigger bar connector end, but the trigger feel doesn’t make sense. LOL. It has that 2 stage feel...

    How much do you charge to get my trigger to be better? I use my glock 21 for carry so I don't need an amazingly light trigger. BUT I wouldn't mind having less pre travel and a clean safe break.

    Sooo.. basically after watching all your videos; dot connector + OEM trigger spring + 4.5lb striker spring + set screw for over-travel + roll pin for pre-travel + trigger shoe safety trim + polishing = 1911 trigger?

    Johnny, is it safe to say for the casual Glock user going to the Range (paper target)
    Use the Glock factory trigger leave as it? (if is not broken don't fix it)
    "This is proportion and symmetry, cause and effect."
    In case you read this, I can hear the information you are trying to give us, bouncing in your brain.
    Thank You very Much.

  • @blwngt1598
    @blwngt1598 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    What people don't realize about patents is that besides the giant expense & long time it takes to get them the ONLY thing they do is make it possible for you to sue (another giant expense) the person/company that infringed on it. And that isn't a guaranteed win. The worst thing about a patent is that it gives away all of your specifics with drawings & explanations. That means anyone can look it up, see exactly what it is or how it's done, then start doing it themselves or figure out a change or enhancement & start doing it & there is nothing you can do, even if you could afford the lawsuit. Lastly, let's not forget that for the most part you could be seen as using or modifying parts patented by Glock or others & get sued by them for doing so. Even if they don't win, you are hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt now which most likely shut you down & cost you your house. Patents are only good for big companies or complete 1 off things or processes.
    Now with that shit out of the way, I greatly appreciate your informative videos. Jacking with safeties is not something I care to do unless I've really studied them, esp since my guns are for defense & not competition but I still love learning the intricacies of all of them.

    So the trigger safety mod is only necessary for triggers that have some pretravel removed correct? so....how do you reduce pretravel?

    • @johnnyglocks
      @johnnyglocks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      AntwonDaBusiness there's a lot of different ways you can reduce pre-travel I drill and tap a set screw in the shoe itself. This way it's adjustable to fine-tune it in
