Wow, so good. 5:33 made me crack up. I could sense the frustration kick in with the hispanos. Some shots wiped a whole wing off and some shots you only got a "hit" 😤. The maneuver kill at the end was badass
War thunder Spitfires are very difficult to control. I even had to set up a controller profile specially for them….and one for all other aircraft. I mainly fly in IL2 now as Spitfires there fly like a dream. War Thunder has lost its appeal and I doubt I will ever go back to it.
@@Avetorro I spent a huge amount of time flying them in il-2 cliffs of dover, but il-2 i found them quite bouncing too, same as dcs, but warthunder is the worst for spitfires. That aside, I have recently found VR Warthunder to be a tonne of fun. :)
I love flying them all but It helps having a nicely detailed cockpit like the beaufighter mk21. Most cockpits are reasonable but some are absolutely awful. It really spoils the immersion flying around in a plane that looks like it was made out of cardboard 😂 I’ve no preference other than that but biplanes are I think are one type of aircraft that really make the vr experience come to life. It’s pretty hard to see above and below the wing any other way than in vr as you can move your head freely as you would do naturally. Because VR gives you a true 1:1 scale view it’s great being in the huge bombers with that gigantic engine and propellor right beside you, gives you an incredible feeling of the scale of things, unlike a flat screen

Is the spitfire still as prone as it used to be to stalling and flat spins? I remember the last time I played spits, I had to be extra cautious and baby the aircraft to make sure I wouldn’t kill myself lol
This is how it flew in real life, it is awesome, so agile and sensitive that was the quality pilots praised. WT has one of the best FMs of spitfires in modern simulators, they fly as described in NACA test reports from 1942. The only issue to accommodate is that our flight sticks are shorter than actual steering column of the real plane and this makes the virtual version a bit more sensitive and requiring more precision.
@@Sputniksim Ive spent as much time flying spits in war thunder as I have in IL2 and DCS. Thousands of hours. If war thunder is correct then the latter are both wrong, which I doubt. @@h3ll778 how long have you been playing, I assume it is SB or RB game mode you fly in, and is it Spitfires you need help with or just flying in general? Sorry for all the questions but there is no quick answer to this.
@@h3ll778 unfortunately I have no experience flying jets and imagine due to the high speeds it is a lot more difficult than props. But the best advice I can give is practice, practice and more practice and to stick to as few planes as possible and get good with them as every plane in this game flies differently ….thats the main thing that improved my flying. I use custom battles, create your own session and practice, you can have infinite ammo and no repair costs too. Also in custom battles there is a pilotage mission where you can practice manoeuvres like scissors, loops etc. Joystick settings are also important, sensitivity and non linearity…what do you use for those? Id also suggest getting pedals, all real planes have them for a reason… its a lot easier to coordinate your pitch and yaw that way, especially in a wing stall.
Recently started dogfighting in VR myself, this is the most fun I've had in gaming in a long time.
This is the best way to play this game. I just setup my stick and rudder for tonight
