5:18 The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was.
The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.
The missiles on the FGR.2 are below the nose, the crosshair is only for the gun, you'll have to aim higher for a IR lock

Long range kill, another awesome video! If the foe flies below 20 m above the water, the missile will drop on the water, unless you fire from a very high altitude, i mean 5000 to 10000 m, so you can kill him from 40 to 20 km of distance (sparrow). Thx for the amazing content!

FGR.2 should be getting IFF for its doppler mode with the upcoming update. That should be a significant buff to it.
Also, many aircraft should see their RWR nerfed, which will make Fox1 missiles way more effective.

@@novak8851 yes. News is basically all aircraft with PD or MTI will get IFF in those modes

Unfortunately planes under 12.0 don't have iff in PD mode (as far as I know) 😢 I'm sitting in my f4s daily in top tier sim and not having iff in PD giving me a hard time against f16s and mig 29s

is it just me or are torpedos useless in sim since i dropped 3 on different parts of a convoy ship and nothing
I also have this problem. I tried using different aircraft, torpedoes and maps but they always swim for about 10 meters and then disappear.
@@PanArbuz-7466 my problem is that they hit but do no meaning full damage, i mean 3 torps on a convoy ship and its not even starting to sink
Torpedoes are useless in the game in general. Bombs are way more efficient at taking out ships.
@@MadManchou i wish i had know that before trying to use a weapon made for taking out ships on ships
Convoy ships in WT have a strange damage model...even if you use bombs aways aim for the bridge orher way you can drop 1ton in the hull and they will never sunk...
I'd say I actually prefer Gs over Js gs seem to vector much better
You should do the gr7 in sim now that it has aim9m. 11.0 BR with 4x aim9m
Also as for the airfield, apparently it’s an easy way to farm bombing RP and SL. They fly to space in an f4 and then drop bombs/rockets on the airfield. Rinse and repeat. People are currently doing it in sim to farm the event
Still dont get why the German F4F sits at 11.0(EDIT:in SB) being one of the most inferior Phantoms...

@@CptToastman Yup,it doesnt have AIM9L and unlike the other ones it doesnt used/have PD radar neither sparrows...but for some reason gaijin thinks it is a 11.0 material in SIM...
