All of my thoughts, hopes, and concerned: The animation overall was very good. Some of the sequences seemed more average compared to what were used to with this show, and some of the animation was a bit less fluent and sort of choppy I guess. The faces went sort of off model like once or twice maybe? Some of the art felt a little weird here and there. Overall, the quality was very good. I think that this is because of three things. One, this is probably a low quality episode. Considering everything that came before this episode and will come after it this season, this is one of the least important things they would need to animate. Two, mechanistic was probably hard as heck to draw, and even mahito is only human shaped some of the time. Three, there’s just so much that they’re going to have to animate after this that no doubt took a lot of the “manpower” away from this episode. I am somewhat worried that the lackluster schedule for this season could result in a lot of lackluster/inconsistent/borderline silly looking art that could ruin the serious tone that this arc HAS to have. Lastly, of course, the ghosting is gonna be brutal. With that being said, there was a lot of bright flashing colors in this fight, so I’m hoping that this is as bad as the ghosting will get. Anything even close to this level of ghosting is going to basically ruin the first time viewing of all of the episode for EVERYONE, both manga readers and anime only’s alike. That’s the most important viewing obviously, because it’s everyone’s first time witnessing it, and hype is at its highest because you’re watching each episode as they come out, and it’s the next big episode you’ve been waiting a week for. Also, there’s gonna be some really difficult to animate stuff coming up and I am concerned that we could see some very un-jujutsu Kaisen like quality in the near future, which would hurt my soul. Overall, I’d say that there were some lackluster portions of this episode that would be unnoticed in most other shows, but stands out in comparison to the quality that we’ve had for all 29 episodes before this. I hope that this episodes (still above average) quality is the anomaly for this season. The Shibuya arc would be a TERRIBLE time to for MAPPA to drop the ball on this show. Also look forward to the blu ray release. F ghosting.

He has a far less detailed mecha design than the average (70s excluded, because that era had generally one of least detailed mecha designs ever) so of course it was made in 2d. Probably ultimate mechamaru just take a few extra minutes to draw than the base one. Remember : not every mecha is time consuming only be it's a robot.
Incredibly ambitious episode, really good action but multiple cuts lack polish, some of the movement wasn't well done. Of course we also have the copious amounts of dimming and ghosting (ik the studio isn't responsible for that, but it is an issue that I have to consider)

Is it just me or anyone else thinks that the amount of work is insane but just doesn't feels as good as say Chainsawman. Maybe because of the complexity of the actions I was unable to follow or the style which looked kinda unpolished.
CSM uses completely different approach and the sheer amounts of detailed drawings and character acting is still unmatched. JJK is going for a completely opposite approach, i.e sacrificing detailed designs for more fluidity.

I guess to enjoy the anime i have to wait for bluray
Why don't you talk about My hero academia's animation.
I am really waiting for it.
I know that they simplified the character designs for the ease of animation, but sometimes I cannot be helped but be bothered by it.
The artwork in the hidden inventory is amazing, but in this episode some of Mahitos cuts looked off.
Maybe it is just me. 🤷♀️
Not only you
I feel the same too
That's what bothered me watching the episode
Its a choice for the animation
ironically HI had even simpler drawings
Looked straight from the 2000s
The style they were going for
If it really bothers you Blud you haven't seen much anime
@@chapri_from_chapra5443 You are right, I dont watch a lot of anime just a couple of them.
I was only bothered by the way some Mahito cuts were drawn in this episode particularly.
@@oz9220 well you will be more in the later episodes
@@oz9220because they move a lot. Don't Pause at The moving cuts Please
im so glad they didnt make him cgi
He has a far less detailed mecha design than the average (70s excluded, because that era had generally one of least detailed mecha designs ever) so of course it was made in 2d.
Probably ultimate mechamaru just take a few extra minutes to draw than the base one.
Remember : not every mecha is time consuming only be it's a robot.
We need a part 2 for the other half of the episode.
I don't know why the fight looks similar to me to the naruto fights especially naruto vs pain
the blu ray version will not have ghosting
Post 13 of asking PP to review Shigurui
I need opm s3 already😭😭
How that was a mixed bag❤❤
Incredibly ambitious episode, really good action but multiple cuts lack polish, some of the movement wasn't well done. Of course we also have the copious amounts of dimming and ghosting (ik the studio isn't responsible for that, but it is an issue that I have to consider)
It was a mixed bag sometimes it was really hard to follow specially the forest one and 2 words F**K GHOSTING
It's not probably pretentious if he doesn't see "moles" where there aren't "moles".
Dimming and ghosting excluded of course
@@ProbablyPretentious I find it funny that you actually had to answer this despite the video itself being a fully detailed answer.
@@MugiwaranoTonyDStark i really liked the explanation
the scenes which are good are butchered by Ghosting. and then people will say MAPPA is trash
Ghosting paired with some janky scenes and drawings bring this ep down a bit, but it was still crazy fun.
Those janky scenes were the style of animators
@@JustAsh001 I kno what's style and what's rushed.
Dimming and ghosting ruined the whole experience.
It was the best ep man just wait for blue ray
Hello I’m for Saudi Arabia and when I saw this Seen I was hurt 1:36
😂😂😂I apologise for his mistake😂
I liked it when they referenced a gainax mecha anime(the entire episode)
nah what you really need to talk about is 1074
wdym japanese laws? then every anime would have ghosting right?
yes the problem is that jujutsu kaisen air at midnight so there is more ghosting and dimming because is night so bright color hit more.
Strong in terms of the animation? Brother, what are you talking about? JJK never looked this bad. And I noticed a decline in the art and animation department from this episode all the way to the newest one, which is 10 at the time of me writing this. This is bad and I am concerned about the future of this season.
This is objectively good animation, go watch any trigger anime and you will get the type of artstyle this episode had
I didn't even care lol I had fun
You are absolutely right, the ghosting made the fight scene unwatchable, i can’t see the sakuga clearly and fluidly. But also want to mention one thing, the sudden change in style of animation at the last mahito vs mechamaru fight scene is kinda choppy and sus, my monkey brain just cannot comprehend on the first look.
Now i know what to call it. GHOSTING. i hate it so much. JC staff use it a lot and its one of the reasons why i hated opm s2
After seeing this episode I want mappa to really animate one punch man 😅
nah not yet or just not at all
@@antsinmypantsallday they will get rid of one main stream anime AOT this year so they can in collaboration with Madhouse Studios possibly animate one punch man. Or maybe studio bones who knows?
We should be lucky that pokemons don’t exist because if i saw porygon irl i would be animal abuse
It wasnt even porgon's faults it was pikachu's thunder attack that caused seizures if i remember correctly, poor porygon got short end of the stick LMAO
It goood
Its not a mixed bag. The animation quality is top tier.
Please stop complaining about the dimming and ghosting. It really isnt that noticeable and doesnt take away from the quality.
I feel people are just nitpicking this to sound smart and contrarian. Just stop.
??? I think it is now crime to say things they don't like about something. You act as if criticisms is not part of media viewing. If that's the case why critics are there to tell what they liked and not like. Just because you didn't find any problem in animation you want others not to even mention the thing that they can tell is wrong or could have been better or good. And the person who made the analysis isn't even a lunatic fan he is simply giving analysis on a animation that is his expertise?
Is it just me or anyone else thinks that the amount of work is insane but just doesn't feels as good as say Chainsawman. Maybe because of the complexity of the actions I was unable to follow or the style which looked kinda unpolished.
CSM uses completely different approach and the sheer amounts of detailed drawings and character acting is still unmatched. Also most of the CSM was heavily corrected to look as close and consistent to the character designs. JJK is going for a completely opposite approach, i.e sacrificing detailed designs for more fluidity.
@@abhiii3333 You're right. I also knew that. It's just CSM felt better or maybe it's style appealed me more.
@@sumitsikderfilms Yeah I also prefer CSM a bit more just wish it wasn't that heavily corrected, maybe it's also because I prefer CSM's writing way more than JJK, so I just enjoy it more in general 🙃
I don’t understand why the ghosting is mentioned so much, it has almost no effect on the end product. The animation is truly a masterpiece.
felt a bit slow at the start for some reason
Yeah it was sakuga but a low tier sakuga if that makes sense, like not at the level of ep 5, and that's weird because the episodes full of fighting are given to a beginner directors and episodes full of drama and character acting are given to strong names like gosso and others
Mappa b like Unlimited Budget expension
It's not budget it's the mappa sla** I mean animators
@@saitama53034this is not also accurate
Huh, strong in terms of animation, wth are you even saying, it was horrible this episode the whole season
You just don't like the artstyle lol, this is objectively good animation
Same as everybody else in the comments, the ghosting... its a real shame ghosting is gonna ruin the enjoyment of this whole season's animation for me :(
@@antsinmypantsallday i mean for me the animation is gonna be way less enjoyable because of it :(
Personally the varying styles of animation throughout the fight and the directing/story boarding felt incoherent and chaotic at times. Add on the ghosting and dimming and I think calling it a mixed bag is a fair assessment. The animation quality itself was good though
Jujutsu kaisen literally carrying his channel 😭
the first half of this fight was underwhelming till Mechamaru used Viola, cuz that chase sequence was insane n set the tone for the 2nd half
Damn
Because of ghosting or high standards on your part?
I hate myself for not liking mecha characters...I just couldn't whatch that part! And it annoys me coz I love the series I just don't like when mecha come to the screens and I literally have the need to skip the part
Don't hate on me guys plz
It was hard to understand and bad, hoping the fights to come are better
it’s mostly due to the ghosting, which is still going to be affected with the other future fights
