The movement conveys Jogo being scare shitless so well and how brutal Gojo was in ripping Hanami's eyes(?) from her head. Might be a hot take but it's my favorite cut in all of JJK.
I especially liked the moment when Gojo was killing Hanami. At some point in this episode he kinda looked like a villain, you know, like Jogo running from him while screaming. Or when Jogo was trying to distract Gojo while he was killing Hanami. Such an amazing episode. Didn't read the manga, but wish to see Yuta in this season!

I’m genuinely concerned for how well the season will be able to hold up under these ambitious conditions. What makes the Shibuya arc such a heralded epoch in the JJK fandom is how little it takes its foot of the gas throughout the entire incident. Not having a healthy production schedule in an arc like this is probably the most stressful thing the animation team can be going through right now when attempting to bring this arc to life with the quality expectation they’ve established this far.
I'm thinking the Dagon fight will suffer the most. It's the only fight we saw none of in the trailer and also probably the least important. In terms of emotional stakes at least.
@@mrprotoman154nah the dagon fight is definitely important cuz it was the fight to push maki, nanami, and naobito, as well as a big moment for fushigoro and most of all, the actual reintroduction of toji. Too much happened in that fight for it to just be pushed aside.

Most of things u pointed can be somewhat explained. Not all people can see curses so they naturally will not move aside when a curse is coming to their way. Also at the end when Gojo used his domain all of them didn't move because they where unconscious. Additionally, u can see some of the drawings again because Gojo is going back and forth in the area killing all the transfigured humans and avoiding the normal ones.
7:20 not sure if you're joking, but his head isn't that large. It was drawn in a way to convey his sudden shift in mood to extreme anger, and his growing volcano head just shows his swelling rage.
The only negatives i had with this episode is some ghosting, some of the unmoving crowd and the motion blur felt abit to much for me personally but the anmation and overall visuals were amazing.
It's something we came up with, idk if it's an actual term, but basically a frame (drawing), generally a close up which is very close to the character design and/or very well drawn in general. A drawing which is proportionally accurate, with well executed lines and curves. A very good drawing, basically.
The animation was insane here but I felt like the action direction and pacing felt really off for me. Like it felt the shots they decided on are claustrophobicly close that it hides the overall action/impact we want to see. It felt like the episode was constantly trying to hide the bits we want to see. And the shot repetition in the running scene mixed in with it was cut made a something that is supposed to have high energy feel kind of slow and stilted
Yeah this episode was great. I do wish they could’ve animated the crowd a bit more or at the very least added some more sound effects or something. There just didn’t seem to be a sense of urgency or danger to the situation due to how lifeless the crowd was. To be fair though, the manga was kinda similar. The crowd seemed very clueless the whole time
To be fair, as someone else in the comments pointed out, they can't actually see the curses. But still, yeah, they can see the people around them getting killed in horrific ways, I do understand them not being able to animate the crowd tho.

He is series director. He has to overlook everything related to all episodes. He don't have that much time to direct many episodes aside from storyboard.

My only "gripe" with this season is the, over-explanation during fights (which isn't uncommon, but its absence made S1 special). I KNOW WHY IT EXISTS, but it felt good in season 1 them just going ham after a short explanation. But then again. S1 was a lot of "close-combat" whereas, this season actually has more techniques and all. That 5:18 cut I have probably seen over 10 times. 10/10 ep (Just pacing-wise some scenes were stretched too long. They probably wanted to end a particular point so.... not really a problem)
Thats the problem with “majority” of these “ SHONEN “ fights. ( Too much self explaining and pointless dialogue.. it takes away the flow/pace of the action sequences). Some shows have dialogue but only a “few” know how to execute it perfectly to the point where it’s “ dialogue “ but the “ dialogue “ isn’t cheesy and it’s “ shit talking “ and it flows well with the action. Nowadays you don’t even feel the emotions out of the fights because the Choreography isn’t that elite. Keep in mind “ not every show “ shows backstories in the midst of the action sequences because “ once again “ it kills the FLOW. No movement , standstill frames , just no fluidity whatsoever, it’s literally manga panels with colors because you can’t even see what’s going on. First season had incredible animation but it was still jarring sometimes but this season is having too many fights to have that level of animation consistently not to mention the poor working conditions

I am very disappointed on the degraded art style of season 2....where as season 1 style was perfect fit for the jjk universe...yet they changed everything.....I mean this season 2 gojo looks like he is from another universe....the domain expansion looks so degraded..... it lacks details..jogo looked like a 3d model s1 jogo looked way better......and now his outfit makes him more skinny he didn't had that skinny legs in season 1 the ratio was picture perfect...
Just because it's less details doesn't mean it's not as good season 2 also has better colour pallate, compositing (probably mappa's best yet) more character acting animation and better directing and also not evey fight will have season 1 level of animation because season 2 has way more action so there are gonna be many inconsistencies but overall this season is way better when it comes to animation just look at gojo using blue in ep 3 that alone is better than anything gojo did in season 1

No movement , standstill frames , just no fluidity whatsoever, it’s literally manga panels with colors because you can’t even see what’s going on. One cut where you see an arm then next 1 second you see a person flying across the building. Like what happened “ in between “ .
Good compositing, Strong drawings.
Daniel and kaito went all out this ep both did more than 1min long sequence and it was just spectacular specially daniel one
One thing i really dislike was BG score during kaito's scene (fucking hate freestyle jazz) and also 8:08

I think it's better for gosso to leave like ryu coz both won't be able to show their ambition at fullest here though gosso likes to work with seshimo but conditions r just inhuman for him (he barely able to sleep this year)

Idk I was looking a review that shared the same opinions as myself but this ain’t it I miss first seasons animation
First season had incredible animation but it was still jarring sometimes but this season is having too many fights to have that level of animation consistently not to mention the poor working conditions
@@JustAsh001there was a lot of jarring moments in s1. Also no one can confirm the schedule (unless sakugaturds on Twitter). Although with how much Resources a typical TV anime Receives and also a typical schedule. Ofc high profile projects with 24 episodes are gonna struggle (also with the Scale of shibuya)
@@A1000-b9sI mean yeah I don't know about schedule whether it's good or not but they are doing a fantastic job on s2 not to mention the staff is amazing so they can manage also the less detailed style helps a lot it gives them freedom to do different style of animation without it looking out of place and it hides the inconsistencies as well
This season just has to much going on for me and the long pauses between the dialogue and the animation sometimes having unnecessary slow paced movement’s compared to season 1
Actually it’s not even about season 1 it’s just like I would like to have more clear animation and not everything being a blur and less awkward scenes/dialogue feels to much like chainsaw man but the style there going for doesn’t really suit jjk

I am very disappointed on the degraded art style of season 2....where as season 1 style was perfect fit for the jjk universe...yet they changed everything.....I mean this season 2 gojo looks like he is from another universe....the domain expansion looks so degraded..... it lacks details..jogo looked like a 3d model s1 jogo looked way better......and now his outfit makes him more skinny he didn't had that skinny legs in season 1 the ratio was picture perfect...
Just because it's less details doesn't mean it's not as good season 2 also has better colour pallate, compositing (probably mappa's best yet) more character acting animation and better directing and also not evey fight will have season 1 level of animation because season 2 has way more action so there are gonna be many inconsistencies but overall this season is way better when it comes to animation just look at gojo using blue in ep 3 that alone is better than anything gojo did in season 1

@@fdaa3154bruh it wasn't even a proper domain it basically ended before it even got those white drops and that's pretty much how most domain that are used once before gonna be since it's obvious that the first time is always gonna be better
Like how many people are complaining about a 0.2 second domain expansion animation.
@@fdaa3154 ofcourse gege's art and panelling is incredible but anime had the advantage because it was in motion it felt great but manga was more dynamic
