Just started this video. Suggest in the future you remove any plugs and soak cylinders with PB blaster or equiv. You do not want to damage rings. Giving in the best chance. Thx for vid.
You an clearly see I’m not on any bolt, I’m using the shaft for the hydraulic pump, and it doesn’t matter which way you turn the engine as long as you can get full rotation out of it. It was easier to get access with a pipe wrench from the side I was on.

Having over 50 years experience with D4s, if they ran the pony motor dry of fuel, it should run with fresh fuel.

Why would you turn engine backwards? Are trying to undue the bolt?

Didn’t realize till after I checked the serial number
I do not think that's is an RD4
It’s not, that’s what I was told by the owner, then I found the serial number and checked it, it’s a D4
