    Saturday afternoon I realized I was close to platinum so I went it to grab a few orders. It was back to back I was picking up low miles for what didn't seem like great pay $7-$9 but they took such little time to complete and I kept my wheels turning, ended up doing $27 a hour. I prefer uber too.

    That was an amazing shift. And you're right. Uber Eats is very often ready when I go into restaurants. I wonder also if the tablet rings differently. You know how the Uber ding is sooooooooo annoying until you tend to it. I wonder if it's like that for the restaurants too so they go to it. Thanks for the shout out.

      The area you are delivering in is super important. don’t be afraid to check out other cities that may be really far from your home. I used to drive 30 miles from my house to work in a BUSIER city where doordash orders were back to back, and Ubereats orders were about $18-$20 every hour (sometimes more if the customers tip more 😉) Pay attention to the areas you are driving in. Some people like to stay close to home and in areas that they know the most. Don’t be afraid to venture out in new areas. If thats where the money is then chase it.

    I could give a flying fu*k what I could earn. I know for a fact, every single time I'm gonna get the money I deserve. Currently thats $5 per delivery mile. I only do short orders and if I'm at a customer drop off i do not factor in the return mileage to the next pickup because its only 1 or 2 miles. So its basically from pick to drop i charge 5 dollar per mile. Often I get over that in the 6.50 to 10 dollar range. So I know what I'm gonna earn. No could about it. Its generally averaging $25 an hour but i promise everyone I'm putting very few miles on my vehicle and using very little precious fuel.

    I feel like UberEATS has their food ready more than often is because it's automated. It rushes the employees at the restaurant to get the good ready before we arrive the moment we accept the order.
    I noticed that GH doesn't. I went to get an order 5min past the pickup time (usually because they never have it ready). Sure enough, I saw an employee click press a button on the tablet and I got the update in real-time of the "status" that the food was being made. I was supposed to DELIVER it by 11:30AM. That employee go confused that I was supposed to pick it up by 11:30am. They didn't even start working on it til 11:30am...I delivered it 50min later, I was low-key pissed cuz I would have been the one getting shafted if it was a "meet at the door" customer. Meet at the door customer are usually have a higher probability of being ungrateful.

    i was doing great on uber eats until the Walmart in my delivery area started taking uber orders. now my phone gets flooded with only Walmart orders and it is really annoying. don't get me wrong the pays all look great but I'm not trying to wait 30 to 40 mins for one order. • @Dave_Outside
    @Dave_Outside 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    No. No way anybody doing this is making $30 an hour. I have been doing it since last December. Primarily Uber eats. My acceptance rate is about 23%. I’m in a very busy area. A good day I’m going to get around $20/hour. The most I’ve ever gotten was $25/hour one shift and that was only because I got two exceptionally good tips. On a regular basis there is absolutely no way anybody is making $30+ dollars per hour doing this.
    Some of these TH-cam delivery drivers showing order after order of seven $7 for 2 miles, $10 for 3 miles, $15 for 4 miles etc. I’m gonna have to say that’s BS. I’ve never seen that on a regular basis. And I don’t think these guys are in a busier area. Not very likely.

    • @LNJfilms
      @LNJfilms 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My guy, I used to think this too, but it’s definitely possible. In my old market it was horrible, if you made $20 per hour you were lucky. Where my new market is, I always make 75-100 working just 6-8. But you’re right, it’s not always consistent, but you gotta stick to just rush times. If you work all day your hourly earnings are definitely going to take a hit. Most markets probably won’t offer you 30+ at 9am. Another reasons my earning went up when I moved is the tip amounts. I never received large tips in my old market, but it seems like they’re extremely common in my new area

    • @LNJfilms
      @LNJfilms 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My new market is much smaller in terms of population as well

    • @michaelsuzio4364
      @michaelsuzio4364 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I don't understand how anyone makes $30 an hour I make $17-$20 an hour but definitely not $30 unless there's a $15 hidden tip on an order

    • @Dave_Outside
      @Dave_Outside 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaelsuzio4364 I know and it’s just not possible unless you have extremely lucky on a day. It is certainly not possible to do that consistently. Not even close. Your numbers are in line with mine. And that’s going to be the normal amount no one could expect to be making.
      I’ve been doing this since last December and I work 2-4 days a week, usually 11-4. I’m in a major metropolitan area so it’s very busy. I typically have little or no wait time between receiving orders. You simply do not get all these high dollar low mileage orders that these guys are showing like that’s a normal day. That’s just not happening. Anyways my acceptance rate is pretty damn low lol.
      Some of these TH-cam creators are just exaggerating the earnings to get more viewers. I expect they make more money off of TH-cam than doing delivery driving LOL.

    • @PhoenixDeliveries
      @PhoenixDeliveries  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      David, I certainly don’t fake my videos. It wouldn’t make sense to lie about my earnings. I’ve been delivering for years and I used to think I could never make over $20/hour and I was content with that. After refining my strategy about where to deliver, when to deliver, which apps to use, and watching videos for additional tips and strategies, I found I could make much more than I ever thought possible. It’ll take time and hard work but I know you can improve your earnings. Remember, not all markets can earn this kind of money, but you can always work on getting better

    • @Dave_Outside

      Trust me no one is making $30-$40 regularly an hour doing this. That’s BS. $18-$20 or so is doable if you are very selective and work in a busy area. In the beginning though I would suggest just taking all the orders so you get experience. Don’t worry about the dollar per hour rate for the first couple of weeks.
