Does it taste similar? I wanna make this at home hut I don’t have all the ingredients sadly and I live in Canada so it’s hard to find cotija cheese. It’s rare to even find tajin😭
@@kaiaswrld I'd say just go to your local Mexican supermarket or maybe international or Asian supermarket. I wanna try also but need to get the correct ingredients because I KNOW ITS NOT AMERICAN INGREDIENTS used lol
Omg, the Hispanic Grocery store near my house. The lady out in front has a little Elote stand. I love this, she gonna make me fat from all the corn in cup I buy from her. So tasty! 😋💕💕💕🇲🇽
sorry for asking, but where do you get your elotes in chicago? i really want to know. pretty close suburb to chicago, but don't go into the city often. would LOVE to go and try!
Where I get mine in texas. They cut it straight off the cobb. Way less water than what's in the video. Probably less efficient for a busy place, but better in my opinion
Mmmm...lol I want it now 😆 lol. I have a disease that's incurable. But long story short I lost all my teeth and have dentures. So I can't eat corn on the cob anymore. But seeing it made this way would be perfect for me.
It's an it's something different that eloteros sell its an esqutie an elote is the whole cob on a wood stick it very good would recommend but nice esqutie that's how so I don't mean to be rude but it's annoying when people mistake true Mexican elote it but sorry
That’s not Parmesan cheese it’s actually Cotija cheese.
Thank you for the correction!!

Never seen it in a cup before. That's cool
Had this in mexico city, sooo good
Best elotes would be at McAllen Texas since it’s like 10 mins from Mexico!
What about...in Mexico?
San diego has the best elote! I grew up in el monte and had it as a kid and now i make it at home here ❤️
Agreed!!

I know - ik used to just cheese and butter in Albany park!!
@@BAMMEDIA My sis used to live in Albany Park! I’m more towards Logan Square: here it’s butter, Mayo, cheese and tajin!

It's Chicago what do you expect
@@sensaitv5683 Chicago is a great city :) and has a large Mexican community, so I’m not sure I understand your comment
Yummy cali vibez
I just had my first Street elote and it was in a cup. It was delicious. I'm going to order it spicy next time
Waooooo this looks deliciuous!!!!😋😋😋😋🤤🤤
He looks like the twins from breaking bad
I'm from Escondido 😢😢😢😢
I miss sd
Nahhhh he really added tajin😭
What’s wrong with tajin?
That's not elote that's an esquite
Esquite is grilled. This is just elote en vaso because it's boiled.
who cares
I love street corn
had this in la jolla last summer. been looking for it.
Roasted corn over some in a can.
I love my Spanish roots
Yummy so good😊
What’s the lime sauce
I prefer elotes bc there is so much water in the esquite it dilutes the flavors. IMO
Agreed

Looks delicous
It was!
tajin is a seasoning aka chile powder not sauce
Thank you
What kind of corn do they use
I just ate this like 30 mins ago. It was great!
😋
Thats not elote bruh lol its esquite, basically its in a cup.
Reminds me of when I got ripped off by a white boy and an Asian selling elotes in Santa Cruz for ten bucks each
But this was good
Can't wait to eat the toppings and then just have plain corn
That's a radical way to eat corn!!
You mix it, genius.
@@lucasblanchard47He filled the cup so full with corn, probably drop half the toppings trying to mix it.
Bro same!
3$ max the cup is small and other vendors charge 5$ for a bigger cup
I'm eating one rn LMAO
Luuuuuckky

Cotija cheese
Man these look so fire but I just can’t get past the Mayo and butter combo 🤢 is it any good without ? Or do you substitute for something else?
Only had it this way so I don't know- I'm sure you could!
Looks good but needs to be in a bowl I would have dropped all my cheese and Cheetos on that side walk 🤣
id kill for one right now
COTIJA, no way people mistake that for parmesan
It has a similar flavor profile, people mistake the two more often than you’d think
Ight bet
Mmmm...lol I want it now 😆 lol. I have a disease that's incurable. But long story short I lost all my teeth and have dentures. So I can't eat corn on the cob anymore. But seeing it made this way would be perfect for me.
Try it! And wishing you all the best!
I get the cob and just cut it lol
What do they charge for the corn?
$8

My gf said Cheetos aren’t authentic, response?
@@BestBackDown idk???! It's Chicago authentic from my exp

@HoneyBee-zh9zw was perfect sweet bee 🐝 ❤️
Parmasean 🤣🤣🤣 NO COTIJA!
Lost me at the hot cheettos
I just don't like when the water fills the cup of corn makes it watered down.
It looks like someone threw up in a cup and I don't eat anything that looks like that. Amazing huh!!!
I'm sure you would try it if it was offered!
It’s very popular so 🤷♂️
