    Love the recipe Kent! Growing up in a Mexican-American family, my parents would make this all the time. My only suggestions: use Cotija cheese in place of Parmesan, and also using Tajin seasoning! Parmesan definitely works too though. We'd use that when we couldn't find any Mexican cheeses in suburban grocery stores :)

    Kent my Christian brother, nice recipe, we waste nothing in rural Kentucky. to trim your kernels stand your cob upright in a bundt cake pan on that cylinder & trim down & all the kernels will fall in the pan, then use the top/dull side of the knife with pressure rake down & you'll get the corn milk( remove kernels 1st if you don't want cream corn), then boil the cobs with a little sugar & a small packet of non flavored pectin & taste for sweetness when cooled off, then pour in a Mason jar & put in the fridge = corn jelly, the dry leftover cob put in a pile in the sun, prior to having a restroom/plumbing in the house, I'm sure folks will know what the dry cobs were used for in the outhouse. God bless everyone

    What's a black eyed pearl she asked and I told hervthey were great as they make their own gravy.

I’ll pull them off, shuck them and then put some butter or mayonnaise on them and then season them with lime salt, La Preferida Sazón, powdered chicken bouillon and Slap Ya Mama

    The best corn I've ever eaten was picked right off the stalk in my great uncle's garden in central Iowa one really hot summer day. As kids, it was fun to pick, shuck and make sure there were no worms hiding among the silk "strings." (glad you showed a couple -- caveman style just adds a little extra protein! Yes, I typed this as the vid was playing and before you said it!) Mom and grandma cooked it and oh, man, was it delicious. Never tried corn grilled and seasoned up the Cowboy Kent way or the Cowboy Caviar style. Both look wonderful.
    Heartfelt condolences for Martha Bryan's (sp?) family. I'll bet she could cook up some great meals and tell some great campfire tales! Good bible verse. :)

      @@JDrumsStrums, Duke's is slightly more caloric than Hellman's. Tastes richer and feels a little more creamy to me.

    Kent, I had this corn in Disneyland a few years ago. I wish you could offer advice on substitutes for some of your ingredients. Dukes mayonnaise is not available in the Northeast. We do have Hellmann's. I would also suggest that if you can find it, buy a chunk of Parmesan and grate by hand. The stuff that is already grated or shredded contains cellulose to prevent sticking. I don't want to eat trees. Great fun watching you 😀

    • @PeopleAlreadyDidThis
      @PeopleAlreadyDidThis 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We had a mayo taste test at our house. Kraft has changed, isn’t so good any more. Hellman’s and Duke’s were very close. Hellman’s is a tiny bit tangier, Duke’s slightly creamier. We also tried Blue Plate, said to be popular next door in Louisiana. We thought it was a bit bland like Kraft, and somewhat oily too.
      In a blind comparison, I don’t think most could distinguish Hellman’s and Duke’s.
