We are happy to see you are enjoying the ONEXPLAYERS, the OXP 2 is a nice bit of kit, I am torn between it and the Win 4 for my personal favourite now. And thank you for the kind words for DroiX, it means a lot for all the staff here!
@@jcc4543 🤣 plz the onexplayer will constantly be updated the steam deck will probably last like maybe 5 yrs then they will probably give up on it while ayaneo and onexplayer will be.
Hey Droix, another question. On the website, you have customer support and warranty. If my unit is defective or a part gets broken at some time, will i get it fixed or replaced via your customer support options?
Providing it is not user damaged i.e. dropping it on the floor, then it is covered under our warranty. It is returned to us at DroiX and we repair or replace as needed.
My (Dave) personal preference, before the OXP 2 I would have gone for the Win 4 but now I am torn between the two. The Win 4 is perfect for portability, I play on it every day commuting to/from work. But the large screen on the OXP 2 is great for playing any other times. See our other video at th-cam.com/video/D605T61IEjM/w-d-xo.html for a comparison which may help
Not that I remember. If you are getting screen tearing it may because the game is running under 60 FPS, try lowering the resolution or game graphics settings so it is above 60.
Check out the written review for a more in-depth analysis at: droix.co.uk/blogs/onexplayer-2-review/ But to save you a trip to our blog: "during the test under full load we got 68 dB highest fan noise and 38 °C temperature" - These tests were done under benchmarks. So under a browsing/media consumption scenario, the fan noise would be lower.
We did not get one with the review sample. If it does come with a screen protector then you will likely need to apply it yourself. We will check when we get the consumer model which should be around the end of March.
@jeff2165 I just checked on our review samples and there are preinstalled screen protectors on them.. I didn't even realise, looks like a normal screen without one (feel free to call me an idiot! :) ). [UPDATE] These protectors are more of a shipping protector than the usual thicker protectors like you get with say the GPD devices. They do offer some protection from very light scratches but not much else.

It depends if the game supports that aspect ratio or not. I quickly checked online and Crash Bandicoot 4 does not support it, but you can edit the files to get different aspect ratios.

The AYANEO 2 display is still the best. In direct comparison you may see some difference, but once you are playing you do not really notice so much to be honest. It is hard to get a good comparison on video we saw some minor differences with the AYANEO 2 and Geek (they are supposed to be the same display) and easier to see in person than on video.
See the benchmark results in the video for performance comparisons. The AYANEO 2 screen is the best, but the other handhelds are not massively far behind it in terms of quality.
Was that at 5w? Or the max 28w? I can't see how the 16 threads at full bore in cine bench at 28w can allow for 38 celsius unless the office air is liquid nitrogen!
THE OXP2 was 38 degrees but it was recorded recently and we have a far colder office during the winter. Compared to say the Win 4 which was measured in December it got 41 degrees (it was warmer than currently), and Win MAX was recorded in September/October and got around 60 degrees. Our office during the summer was so hot we could not run temp tests as they were unfair! To fairly compare them we would have to re-run all the tests now. We would say the average is around 45 degrees though.
We'll keep it as a note, but considering they are Android games, they should run without issues. (Obv: Bluestacks is an emulator, or a translation layer - in which case, some quirks might occur, just as with any emulator)
First, check the games graphics settings. What you can try is the default Low graphics settings. If that works then increase to Medium etc until it starts dropping frames, then lower the settings until back to normal. Also try lowering the screen resolution, I dont have this model on hand but it will support 720P or 800P.
