I bet this would work wonders on a motorcycle, our engines live out in the weather, and its always hard to get all the dirt and grime out of the small places.... and we get a lot more dirt and grime than car engine bays do i recon.. i specially like the last product that you just spary all over an leave to dry..! Always loved AutoGlym products..

It was nice to watch it, especially when I've seen "my" engine bay and engine itself in this video :-)

:25 I stuff as many microfiber towels as will fit , into the air intake to prevent water from getting inside . And I always remove the engine cover , foam rubber .

If you're preparing to do this on a early agaed car like 2003 years, make sure you're injector seals are in good nick so they don't let any water in the rocker, other than that it'll be fine, cars are subjected to moister all the time

Excellent demonstration. Nice and simple to follow. Can't seem to find the waterless cleaning video from the playlist. Does anyone have a link to it?

I know this is an old video, but I’ve been wanting to give this a go for a while; it bugs me every time I open the engine bay. I own a VW Golf Mk7 TDI and was always wondering if I needed to protect the electrics, but according to this, I should be okay, yes? Thanks.

I would stay away from the alternator, battery, and fuse box when washing the engine.

I have a Toyota Grande and can't get to anything to clean up, as its so compact. Had a valve gasket leak and the oil is still causing a real stink when using air con. Some engines just can't be cleaned at home.

Hi Autoglym, is the engine & machine cleaner safe for tyres and wheels? I have been using it to clean mine in the last couple years, I always follow up with tyre dressing, and a light coat of wax on the wheels. Thanks.

I would keep water out of the engine bay. Most modern cars have many electrical connectors only requires one to get water in to give you issues. If it ain't broke don't fix it..
