      I wonder how close a 2L or 3L soda bottle would come to fitting the nozzle of that backpack blower?
      Maybe cut the bottom off, a little gorilla tape, and a hose attached to end🤷‍♂️ (it may even wind up better/as good as the shop air). 🙂

    I love this!! So easy, great results! I did this to my 99 Ford the first time this aired (made the "sweet" little attachment for the compressor) People could not believe how "clean" my motor was. When my neighbor complimented my motor I said "thank you." My husband said you didn't have anything to do with it as he thought they cleaned it at the car wash. I told him I cleaned it! I ended up cleaning his motor too as to convince him I did it; looking back I think I got bamboozled into a free cleaning job! lol

    Oh, I love this! My Corsa truck is 24 years old and we always cleaned her engine bay every 4 to 6 months and it's a joy to service or work on. One big thing you did not say is, clean the underside of that hood and put some car polish on the paint work and shine it up, it realy finishes off a clean engine bay. I've been using ArmorAll Tire Foam like this for a couple of years and it is amazing. Yeah, if you have leaves or grit blow them off first, but I've found that's all I need to do. It isn't necessary to blow off the excess, just close the hood and it will dry on its own. I just did my car and truck last week and couldn't be happier.

Also, you may want to use one of these amzn.to/3SpGizr and shove it down every vent and area that blows out ac & heat as it sounds like you've got some serious contamination or even a dead creature laying in there :( Hope this helps Peter, we really appreciate the view, hope you have a great rest of your week and all the best on your project my friend. mad Mike

    Funny topic. My area gets super dusty under there. Gravel roads country living. Was thinking man I need to clean mine again. Been about 4 years.
    I fixed an old air compressor 2005 120psi or so big tank for that pressure. Using some of your tips altho I just used silicone on the electric motorr then dried it and scraped the power switch slightly. Not sure which was the true issue,thing works like brand new and I left it outside for 4 years never ran got it broken.

    I bought a 1996 Dodge ram 1500 it didn't look to good but the motor runs like a top. Anyway about a month later i found out why the engine compartment was so filthy it had been in a flood which cought me off guard because of the motor ran so good even the transmission did and yes they were the original engine and transmission but anyway I came across his vedio and gave it a try. It took me two cleaning's but after the first time I could tell a big difference.

    • @bigm383
      @bigm383 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Tyre foam contains much less water than the alternator is exposed to when driving in the rain. Plus you will blow it all out with the compressed air. It’s designed to improve or recondition the surface of tyres so seems to benefit any rubber belts, hoses, etc.

    I did this and uploaded the video a few years ago when you guys first did this video. i find it can sometimes be the opposite when it comes to clean engine bays in used car. when im buying a used car and the engine bay is squeaky clean i automatically think they cleaned it spotless trying to cover something up..

    • @SweetProjectCars
      @SweetProjectCars  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well I look at that the same as I do buying anything, I would much rather buy something clean than filthy dirty. I can contest to this after working on and buying hundreds of vehicles, 99.9% of the ones that were clean we had virtually no issues with. We found that people who care about something that they own do regular maintenance and cleaning on. Why? Because they care about it. That's the same with people that own homes, you can always drive by someone's house that's clean and neat and know that it's been well taken care of. Thanks for watching, have a great day. mad Mike

    Well as a would be buyer I would immediately see your beautifully maintained property, the way you are dressed, your manners and your articulation.
    That alone tells me "this guy takes great pride of ownership" and right away I know that also applied to his car.
    When I was working and people applied for a job opening I would always make sure I inspected the car they drove.... not how new it was but was it maintained.
    Was it neat and clean inside and out or were there empty beer cans and McDonald wrappers on the floor and was the car MIA from a wash for a month.
    To me, no pride of ownership = no pride of workmanship on the job.

    I've got a motorhome eith a Cat diesel engine. Would this work on grease snd dirt or just dirt. Is it safe around electrical connectors and ECMs. Since it's a diesel pusher it gets a lot of dirt thrown all over the engine from the rear wheels Thanks for posting, that caddies engine looked like new.

      Yes, absolutely. We have a 40' dp with a Cat 3126, we use this same process on that motor. Thanks for watching and asking Rick, hope you have a fantastic day my friend. mad Mike & team
