The scene when Rodney and his homies pulled up in Yvette's car to pull a drive by on Jody.. Sweet Pea already knew what time it was when the car stop mid way 💥🔫, meanwhile Jody over there smiling and laughing 😅
One thing that still bothers me about Baby Boy was how Jody's mom never apologized for accusing him of growing weed in her garden when Melvin reluctantly admitted to her that it was his weed and she let it slide. Her not owning up to her false accusation fueled the fight between Jody & Melvin because of her own pride.
I think the genius that is John Singleton did that for a reason. Even though Jody was a man baby he was essentially just a product of his upbringing because of the contradictions, hypocrisy and immaturity he witnessed from his own mother. Remember she was a teen mother who never really fully grew up on a mental level either so she just carried that mindset over to him in addition to Jody also not having a father to teach him otherwise
I was thoroughly surprised with his performance. I was so use to the Wild & Crazy Kids host and Earvin from Mr. Cooper type characters. But I was blown away when I saw him as Sweetpea.
He’s Absolutely Right. Vlad Likes To Ask Actors To Reenact Scenes For Him. He Did The Same With The Late AJ Johnson. AJ Really Seemed Disinterested Or Upset. Glad Gtfoh With That
As a former Acting teacher at National Black Theater in Harlem , just to confirm : Actors are story tellers! The tradition of both oral and physical “!acting out” of life’s experiences is what an actors true calling entails . Omar is indeed a Griot par excellence in the African story teller tradition. that scene their talking about and the one when he made jody get down on his knees so they could pray b4 they went looking to shoot Rodney was some powerful shit. "Show us the way Lord and if YOU cant show us the way, forgive us being lost"

Shout out the omar Gooding for not being a wind-up doll and reenacting that scene, for Vladimir. Now I understand why Gary Coleman never said What you talkin about, unless it was a paycheck, and why Jimmy Walker never said Dynamite, unless it was a paycheck.
Vlad is funny. He thinks that Omar's only accomplishment was the movie 'Baby Boy'. Yes, Omar killed it. He was outstanding in that role, but Vlad only loves when black people play Ni_ga roles. Vlad ignores films where brothers play intellectual characters.
He saw Jerry Maguire. Those types of roles were said to be manly and masculine. Gangster and Mafia that's his wheel house. well that and Jerry Maguire...although...sports...and money... so...wheel house.
I can tell this is gonna be a GREAT interview.. He seems like one of those SUPER FUNNY dudes that likes to talk a lot 😂 bring him in as a regular Vlad!!!
It's funny because in the 2000s my cousin literally was Do Dirty. He had a friend who used to come to our house to play Madden with him damn near every day for hours on end. My cousin was known for not taking showers too so he dubbed himself Do Dirty after we saw Baby Boy😂😂
Yep. My cousin "Do Dirty" had a feature on an old song I made where he said: "I'm 24 years of age and ain't bathed in the last 68 days" and was dead serious😂😂😂
