Cuba, and Omar's father was a singer in a group called "Main Ingredient". One of their hits was, Everybody Plays A Fool". To me, Omar looks a lot like their father.
I'm glad to see this guy still in the showbiz. I grew up with this dude and never heard anything negative about him.
It is amazing how both Gooding brothers look just like their father. When Omar was younger to me, he did not look like his father, but now that he is older, he looks just like him. I use to watch his father perform back in the 70s with The Main Ingreidients. That is when singing groups really sang and put on some spectacular concerts. Their father did a great job of getting both of his boys into show business.

Loved watching him when I was a kid, when he was co-hosting Wild and Crazy Kids on Nickelodeon in the early ‘90s. So happy he’s still thriving.
I still want to be on that show! As a kid, I remember thinking: “kids like me don’t get that opportunity”. It may have been far from the truth, but it was my thought process. So, in that case, I really took time to enjoy the show vicariously.

Never followed Wild & Crazy Kids but I remember Omar Gooding from Hanging With Mr. Cooper & Smart Guy back in the day (mainly Cooper though). He was great in Playmakers too (short lived show, IYKYK). Love his energy. Him and his brother are true talents.
