I feel bad for Ving. His pain hit me right through the screen. I lost my Mom at 27, and I’m 29 now. She was 46. He’s probably in his 60s, his Mom lived a full life, and he’s incredibly hurt. I say that to say: losing a parent at any age is devastating. Wishing the best for him.
I'm sorry for your loss. There is rarely a day that passes where I don't lament the possibility of losing my mother, who just turned 70. I feel the same way about my father, but it's different with mothers. But my hope in God's promise in the Bible gives me confidence in the future.

Ving Rhames has such a Warm Soul. My Heart & 🙏 goes out for Ving Rhames and Stephen A. for the the loss of their mothers. I know what it feels like to lose a parent my dad passed away from Throat Cancer in (2013) he was battling it from (1999 to 2013) passed away at age (64).

You know my mom passed away in 2020. I think of her every day and miss her. When I start to feel the pain of her passing, I listen to kind words. Stephen A sad it brings be peace in my times of sadness and dispare. I really wonder if Stephen A realizes how many men he touched with his words. I am grateful that he shared this.

Loss my mom suddenly almost a month ago. It's a pain that changes you forever.
Pain of loss can be brutal especially to those who was close to u the most I felt the same way when my grandfather passed it shattered my world. I can't lie a big, good part of me died when he died. This was a great interview.

My heart goes out to both men being vulnerable and speaking about the passing of their mothers. I felt this, both my adopted mother and biological mother's passed away. To this day after almost 14years for 1, and almost 7 years for the other I feel lost some days. May God give them both strength ❤️

I can't relate to Stephen A or Ving R. because my mom is still alive, but there will come a time that I'm going to have to deal with the grief and loss, these 2 gentlemen displayed that it's ok to cry, remembering the wisdom and love from their moms. I think about my parents every day
My mom passed in my apartment in my arms august 1st2023 and my dad passed away October 2023 and I survived a stroke in November 2022
And still got back strong and took care my mother until her time was up

This just made me respect Ving even more than I did
I have amnesia but I remembered his sensitivity roles first more than the hard core roles he has acted. I admire him too for doing a role that most women weren't allowed to play of self, but he did it. And honestly I think he can relate to women more with the struggles we go through. Thank you for playing Holiday and know I will never see you differently because of the role. However because of the role, I saw a fully grown man telling my story. But, the part about the gang raped occurred outside of jail yet I suffered jail for a accumulative of 27 years and lots a lot of money and time for saving my own life. I have anterograde amnesia now and can honestly say that I'm not bothered about my lost past unless I'm cued in by those who knew of some sorts. However, I may have lost that bullish stuff, but what remains are still all of my pursuits. Simply worded, " The trauma others wanted for me was the only thing lost". I love you, my condolences and I'm so glad he is still here as well. Focus on the life activities together, lessons learned from each other and live with her in your heart always. Closure will come and the tears will reduce and the hurt is ease up so all the beautiful time of joys, play,talks and memories of parenting will flow. All the good, bad, right and wrong ones too. Do things in remembrance of her. Love as those she's still here in your mind, body and soul. Remember the lessons she had you do from a child until grown. Remember those fuss days and prayers she carries over you. Trust her lessons, talks, and words of encouragement. These will carry you through. Choose the grieve when it's time to sleep because nothing needs to be done and you can always beware of your surroundings during the day. Take it easy, time does heal and makes it easier to cope. She's looking over you in Spirit. I love you Ving Rhames!!!!!!
