    Great video. I have been shooting VAP TKO 350 for several years, and they have been fantastic. Out of my 60 lb, PSE evolve. My setup had the arrows at 460 grains.
    This year I am trying two arrows out of my RX7 Ultra: 5 mm AXIS with the SS OUTSERTS (535 grains) and the VAP Xtorsions (551 grains), cut 28.5 c2c and 300 spines. You might want to look at what Victory Archery offers, as they have been great with fantastic penetration. Thanks again for sharing your setup.

    lol, I love how much string Josh wastes. It's hilarious. And this is one awesome looking bow for sure. Can't believe you had penetration issues on a deer though. Using a mechanical of some kind? Both you guys KNOW that a good quality two blade, with or without bleeders, is probably the best chance at a pass thru or nearly a pass thru depends on distance and arrow weight. Guys, I enjoy every video you make. You know your stuff.

    Just got my RX5 ultra tuned this past weekend, and while at the archery shop, the owner was telling me how ridiculous it is to be able to get in these bows now, or any archery products... sites, arrows, rests, quivers, you name it... there is a MASSIVE shortage apparently, and they have to place orders for their shops 6 months out!! Even then they don't get all of their orders shipped to them. Im just happy I was able to get my RX5 when I did... love the new RX7 though, and really nice build you have here!

I would try to branch out if other companies would come out with a system like their set technology. Most of us don't own a press but still love to tinker. Can't help but wonder what the hold up is?? Sweet setup! Curious if you guys were worried about a 340 spine being a little weak at 29/70 and 50 grains of brass upfront?

    • @BowOnlyOutdoors
      @BowOnlyOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks! With these arrows being cut to 27”, it really isn’t a problem. It is slightly weak when using the normal weight nocks, but I’ll be adding screws to my nocks to replicate the weight of my lighted nocks. At 23 grains, that helps even out a little bit and the spine should be fine. I didn’t mention that in the video but that’s my plan. With string stretch my final draw weight will probably end up closer to 70 rather than 72 as well. Great question!

    • @tobymatkowski
      @tobymatkowski 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BowOnlyOutdoors You are so close to be underspined it scares me. My 73# 30" draw RX-7 is loving the 250 spine Sirius Orions with 220gr up front.

    • @BowOnlyOutdoors
      @BowOnlyOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We’ve tested many combinations of arrows and how it affects the dynamic spine and with these arrows shot out of our particular set up, this is the best and most forgiving we’ve found.
      The most important thing is to figure out what’s best for you and your set up. Too stiff is never a problem, but we get the best accuracy and forgiveness out of our current set up without the sacrifice of broadhead accuracy at distance. If our arrows were 28” or if we had 200 grains up front, it would undoubtedly be too weak for this to happen.

      I haven’t noticed any noise, seems very quiet to me! Maybe check to make sure your sight, quiver, or any other accessory isn’t making noise. Oftentimes that is the cause of shot noise/vibration for me.

    • @BowOnlyOutdoors
      @BowOnlyOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The cams are shimmed to the right (thick spacers on left). Based on your grip and the limb deflections, they will tune different from bow to bow and person to person.

    The Victory RIP TKO is a better arrow. The Easton HIT inserts will fit in them. You should try that. I’ve been running them with the iron will collar and they have been crazy good.

    • @BowOnlyOutdoors
      @BowOnlyOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually shot the RIP TKO last year with the HIT inserts! They did fine, however I did notice the ends of my arrows being weaker than I'd like and tended to flake apart on both ends. The price difference between the two was not worth it in my case to go with Victory again for this year, therefore I chose to try out the Axis.

      Although advertised as higher quality arrows, the match grades are nearly identical if not exactly identical to the regular Axis. If there is a difference, it’s such a small difference I wouldn’t be able to notice, plus the extra cost is not worth it to me

      With the arrow being cut at 27” we’ve found it to give the optimal dynamic spine that we are looking for out of our set up. It is on the weaker side, but it is not too weak for the actual speed the arrow is delivered out of the bow at.
