  • The Hoyt RX-7 is Hoyt's Carbon Hunting bow for 2023. IBO 342fps, Axle to axle 30", Brace Height 6.25", mass weight 3.9#. We compare the RX-7 to the previous Carbon bows from Hoyt. We discuss how this new bow fits in the market and compares.
    We shoot the Hoyt RX-7 over chronograph and then shoot at 18m.

      It would have been better if more shots were like that one. I suppose that is archery. After that first shot - here we go. Then the disappointment when I go to the target. 8)

    Great review as always! I’m a big fan of Hoyt and I just recently got the Ventum Pro and love it.
    Also I just recently picked up an old Hoyt Carbon Spyder Turbo for $200 USD!

    amazed how you shoot so well going from one bow to another especially small fast hunting bow from a long heavy easy draw target bow. Takes me days and many many arrows to get used to a bow, not much point to me even "testing" bows in the shop as my favorite would be whatever happened to feel most like what Im currently shooting. I am positive I would shot a lower cost bow like say an Elite Basin better than the new Verdict in a shop test if I had been shooting the Basin for months. Probably why I really like these reviews, no marketing hype just good explanations and pros/cons.

    I watched first five minutes instant like! Just enjoy your content glad you got ahold of another Hoyt! Time to become the real dealer out there! Good luck, cheers!
    You should buy all his bows for sure! They are well worth it at that discounted price!
    Try to get the ventum 30 pro and shoot it side by side with the RX7, same with the ultra and ventum 33 pro.There are differences but they are all dead in hand bows.

      The riser is a new design, the old design was the three twist carbon riser. (Like the 2022 Hoyt twin turbo) It definitely looks better in person.

      @@wcwcgarner2717 looks? shoots better how? I think Mathew’s and Hoyt offerings are definitely top notch but what mathews comes in carbon? So aluminum to aluminum especially this past year has been a tight race as they are both dead in hand and quiet, and for once I can say Hoyt offerings are as smooth or smoother to draw. Mathews has always been a solid shooter, quiet as can be, but lately they have been resting on their past accolade’s. I hope they step it up a bit because nothing from Matthew’s lately has come close to any carbon offerings sorry not even in the carbon game…yet. Im hopeful to see something new from Mathew’s but they are getting pretty stale sadly…

    I still shoot the carbon matrix , can’t fault it . I like the longer axle length and I think that it looks better than all the new models

  • @ochi5.56
    @ochi5.56 ปีที่แล้ว

    I had the Rx7 and selled it. It dosent want to tune for me and i can shoot Bareshaft grouping out to 40 Meters. Tried all from tuningwise including custom shims out of titanium to bring the cams more right. (RH Shooter) Spinewise , gripwise everything. It shoots good Bareshafts but only when i torgue the f..k out of the Grip . Maybe a Twist in the Riser ? I Dont know but i dont want shoot a Bow that only shoots good when the String comes in an strange angle sideways out of the Cam....Next was an constant rattle at the shot. so i demounted the sight and the rattle was gone . mountet the sight on another bow - no rattle. So after long period of searching i found out the Pic Rail on the Bow was not tight. So i must put the "RX7" Shield away and under it there was 2 Screws and i can cranck it up. Was not thight correct...Next Buzz was the Short Stop. The inner Rubber part rattles on the outer Aloy Part. Here i would say its a construction fail ! So on the Stabilizers you can buy from Hoyt , they add an O Ring and the raddle is gone. But its gone because the inner Rubber cant swing .Maybe no longer the full function ?! The next i had problems with the Lower Stabilizer Bushing. I added the Go stix and Cranck the Screw on . Same as i allways do on Mathews Bows. All fine . But when you will loose the screw to put away the Go Stix Mount the hole Bushing comes out. Finish on the Bow was not realy what i want for this money ! Also here Mathews blows this away . On my Rx7 i had tears , micro cracks and stuff on the finish.
    And so goes the List on Cons on and on.... I dont want to send it back because i live in Austria . It costs me many month without a Bow and i had no Backup Bow.
    I selled this Mess and buy a V3X29 and have instand Bulletholes and Bareshaft grouping without any shims and no Problems with rattling and loosen screws. In my opinion there is to much hype and fanboy trash in the forums for the new Hoyts. The full story is on Archery Talk but like i sayed to much childish fanboys and Id..ts that dont can talk and discusse normal.... I have no Problems when the Riser is made in China. But this Chunk is assembled in the States and they screwed my Bow totaly up. For this Money ??? People should go back in there mind and think about what they pay for. This should be the best of the best . But if this is the best of the best from America .... pfff holy sh..t......... No thanks - never look back on this Company...Tryed also back in the years a Hoyt and also dont realy happy with it. For this Money you can easy buy bunch of other Brands they perform way better and have less Problems. in my opinion there is nothing bad with buying 2 mods because you know your drawlengh and so i buyed 2 or 3 mods and they are the same as the V3s and VXRs and so you can put this on the future Bows. my 2 Cents🤷🏻‍♂️

  • @patrickjoy9551
    @patrickjoy9551 ปีที่แล้ว

    Considering it felt short on the draw length to you and it is a pretty short AtA bow that is a 1/2 pound lighter than an aluminum bow, I think you shot pretty good. There is no doubt you could shoot it better if you adjusted it to fit you and added some weight to it the groups would definitely tighten up. All in all, its a great bow.

    SO in the states, most hunters don't care if the bow 'looks cool'. They care about weight, how fast the bow shoots and the size of the bow. It's kind of funny that you can see the arrows now, did you get contacts? That would explain the weriod eye movements you have, not being used to them or whatever. By the way, the Hoyt RX-7 is an overpriced bow that is not above the competition.
