Which Bank gives out the best bank boxes or rolls? Ever wondered? Well, so have I! In this video, we'll be coin roll hunting one bank box from three different banks - The BIG Three Banks - and see which bank wins Round 7 of my 10 Round Bank Box Nickel Battle, Series 2!
We'll be hunting these boxes of nickels for Silver, Buffalo Nickels, Proof coins, Old Jefferson Nickels, V Nickels and 2009's for their low mintage. We found several nice Early Jefferson Nickels in this three bank box hunt including a few Silver Nickels, Buffalo Nickels, Enders and an oddity so it was definitely one of the better coin roll hunts!

Banks aquire their boxes through the closest Federal Reserve Bank. Therefore, any difference between banks is an illusion. Loomis is sometimes contracted by the Federal Reserve Bank to process coins, but ultimately all boxes are from the federal reserve bank. Obviously you cant find the same coin twice, so personal stats between banks will differ, but overall they come from the same source. Pay attention to the number of pre 1950s per box over 10 boxes from each bank. I conducted a 50 box hunt from different banks to confirm this idea. Great Video Though!

Nice finds I my Hunt today of nickels I hunted 5 rolls and found 1 buffalo nickel and 7 olders Jeffersons 1 40s and 6 50s

Watch out you don't get crushed by the stampede! 😱 Insane boxes Rob! I'm surprised you don't get more foreign coins. Whenever I get bank wrapped nickel boxes I usually find at least 3 foreign coins (mostly euro cents and British 20p, but I have gotten African and South American coins too). On top of that I usually get about 2-3 rolls of American nickels out of a Canadian bank boxes! 😀

I just searched a box of nickels and found 2 way nickels
You have the exact opposite of what I have rob. Every box I’ve hunted lately only has war nickels not buffs.

You do realize that banks normally get there change from armoured transportation companies like Brinks? Good chance that chase and wells came from the exact same place.
Tuter King I know but since I can’t commission armored car service at my house it’s easier to use the banks as a basis for the hunts.

Last month a found a blank planchet ender with a v nickel friend!
It's been over a year for me to find a blank nickel planchet - although I have found 5-6 of them in my time.

Wow. What a hunt for buffalos. One time I think it was a couple months ago, I had a box of nickels and I literally found a DOZEN buffalos. I was flipping with excitement all over the place bc of how insane the box was. One was a 1913 but I had to nic-a-date it too. But man great video Rob. Hope that silver drought comes to an end soon
Cost of the nickels and annoyance to the employees, $200. Cost of equipment to make the video, $1000. Profit after searching 6 hours through 2000 nickels, $4.55. Expression on your face when you realize this was a colossal waste of time...PRICELESS!!!!!

Working for Brinks for a few years, I’ve seen some pretty cool coins I wish I could get my hands on, especially on the days I had to work in the coin center. A cool piece of info, and this goes for all coin box “designs” from the three different companies, the half color/half brown boxes are packed by loomis for Wells Fargo (which I know you know due to the rolls saying loomis on them coming out of those style boxes). The boxes with the holes in them are packed by Garda for BofA. The brown boxes with the colored rectangles on both long sides are packed by Brinks for Chase. You’ll not necessarily get those exact boxes from those banks. The Messengers (the guys delivering the money) just grab whatever boxes from their stack in their truck.
That was a good B of A box, but it sure didn’t stand a chance against the Wells Fargo box. It actually took me a long time to find any war nickels. Crazy enough, I found quite a few buffalos AND a V nickel before ever finding a war nickel. When I did finally find one, I actually found two in the same box. Pretty crazy, but I sure love the thrill of the hunt!

You made a mistake in scoring the 1929-S Buffalo. The odd-looking mintmark is the RPM-001 variety.

I'm a coin collector myself from Australia although our banks don't supply us with Circulated currency I do find some interesting finds, My latest find was a few American Dines and quarter Dollars... Keep up the good work man.
that 1929-s is better than most buffalos that i've seen even outside of a box! incredible find and to find out after the fact that it is an error coin as well?!?! that's incredible!!!! I need to find more nice ones like that 1963 for my binders! I know they aren't old but I have a collection to fill. Incredible boxes man, I hope you went and got another box from that bank!

I was excited. Searched my first box the other day. Six buffalos! One box! But they all were dateless and one had an S mint mark. Still, it was a great first box.

Ive found 5 in one roll! And 4 were back to back. The other was later in roll. And i found 5 in the whole box lol. Found 3 silver in 1 box also. So ehh nothin special.

New subscriber here! I started this nickel hunt after I gotten a Buffalo Nickel with no date .. it’s kinda wore out , buffalo not really defined , don’t know if it worth anything but I’m keeping it lol and will start buying nickel by the box just like you sir and start collecting!God bless ❤️🙏🏽
