Hey rob anyway I can buy a few of these bags from you ? Or your dealer I’ve never seen those prices for so much silver ! Or am I missing something anyways thanks for the great video my friend !
I was at a gun show years ago that had other kinds of vendors, some of which were coin dealers and I was friendly with one. I told him that somebody there had a bowl full of Indian head pennies for sale at a dollar each and that I found an 1872. He asked if I bought it and I told him that I didn't because there was some wear on the coin. He insisted that I go find it because even in the shape it was in it was a $60 coin. I found it, bought it and showed him and he immediately appraised it at $60. I still have that one.
1870's Indian head cents are always a good find. To date the only 1800s coin I have found metal detecting was an 1871 penny with the less valuable but still expensive bold N variety. Best part was, nearby was a 1906 v nickel and the lot had already been detected, high discrimination let's you miss these things, same with a nearby house that had wheats and silver rosies in the ground.
I just looked at my coin collection last night that my Grandfather gave to me. I haven't looked at it since I was 10 which was 40 years ago. I found a real nice 1863 Indian Head in there as well as over 450 real nice condition wheat pennies. Not sure if there is any value or not. I was more interested in the silver coins when I started looking thru everything.
GREAT VIDEO, ONE OF THE BEST AND LEARDED A LOT ABOUT SILVER I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT,THANKS> BECAUSE I HAVE THAT 1917 BARBER, AND THAT 1907 0 BARBER QUARTER ALONG WITH THE SET OF THEM 1907 0s.THANKS MAN YOUR GREAT.
Bought 2 rolls of dateless standing liberty quarters from Apmex last week. Found a 1916 with a partial date! Totally original uncleaned G-6 to VG-8 coin. It was more fun than anyone can ever imagine. Also bought $500.00 face value 90% silver quarters from apmex last week. Found a 1950 d/s quarter. Actually found the whole set except for the 32-d, 32-s, 39-d, 40-d. Many hours of looking through my loop.
I don't comment often, but I just had to say what an entertaining video this was. I am one of the people who enjoys longer videos! Wish you could have opened the magic coin😊
Just found you recently - and I admit that even after 30 years of pretty hard core collecting and study - I usually learn at least one new thing from you almost every time I watch one of your vids !! You are a credit to the hobby and I subscribed - you make learning fun as well - thanks for the work you share with us !!
I understand you saying "nothin' special" when handling old silver and copper commons. But man, they sure look special to me and they exude history and stories. Thanks for the video. Loved it!
Great video Rob. It's fun looking at coins I do this every day of my life. Great stress reliever for me. It's just calm and joyful for me and looks like you as well. Keep them coming.
I had a magic Morgan dollar once. It had a dime inside a quarter shell inside a half shell inside the outer silver dollar shell. It opened with a thumbnail press just inside the top of the rim on the reverse. They machined a tiny slanted shape there that would allow the opposite side of the reverse of the outer shell to pivot and expose the contents. It was a GREAT find. And yes, it "thudded" when dropped. That is how I discovered it.
What a great video! I love seeing someone make a major score on a junk silver purchase! Kudos to you and good luck to you in the future. I am subscribing to your channel. Cheers.
As far as I am concerned I think this was the best numismatic tutorial video I have ever seen! Thanks Rob. I could have lasted a lot longer. The information was fast and furious but just right to follow your thought process!
Loved the video, beautiful magic coin, the one I have is toned, but I'm not sold on it being silver. Mine too sounds like that, weighs in at the same weight of a 64 kennedy and it passes the magnet test as well... Nice looking Merc dimes, 1917 SLQ, and constitutional silver!
WOW !!!! What an awesome hunt it had it all. No matter how long it is when you many finds it make the time fly. Can't wait for the next video and Happy Hunting. 😃
You sure did pick up a lot of nice constitutional coins. That SLQ was in good shape. My favorite coins were the Mercury dimes. I look forward to seeing the submission results of the 1941 P, D and S Mercury dimes. Great video.
Love seeing the early coins regardless of condition or value...I don't have any constitutional coins but love collecting none the less.... thanks Rob 👍 awesome video brother😁
Hey rob! I’ve started to fill up a big Glass Cookie Jar with Copper Pennies from 1960-1982!! A little side stash just in case they discontinue the Penny someday!
Super awesome video bud. Love these. Made me pull out some barber half's to look at lol. Finally got me a penny box today too. 1st 1 I found in 2 weeks.
Loving your junk silver videos. Hats off to that silver/coin dealer that you work with. You have a great reputation with him and vice versa. Longer is good Rob - at least your videos. Keep smiling, stacking and staying safe! Chuck in NE Kansas
i've been buying ounce silver commemorative coins recently, prices are very good, i can get them near bullion prices for less desired coin condition. bought about 7 pieces last week, i have 2 still on bidding and negotiation. looking to get a kilo weight this year.

I did and there is a cut. Looks like a perfect machinist job and likely jacketed another obverse. I think it is forver stuck together withoiut damaging it. A true winner wins all coin flipper coin!
@@RobFindsTreasure I've heard this was a common thing to do as a test in advanced machinists school when these were still in common circulation.
