Wow! That's great detail for a V nickel in circulation. I've never found one in circulation, and the ones I have seen are usually wiped! I thought it was going to be one of the last few years too.
Just ordered my first box ever of half dollars from my bank. Hopefully they’re circulated. Thank you Rob for introducing me to how exciting this hobby is.
Picked thru drive thru change in my bag up here in Edmonton today.. 1953 D silver us dime in decent used condition. Too bad my eyes can’t focus like a microscope to see varieties hahaha
Check out the prices for unopened boxes of nickels on eBay. Time to set aside a few for your future self. Imagine passing on down through generations, with a note, not to be opened till 2100.
I had a similar experience with finding an ender like that. About a year ago I got a box of pennies and saw 2 Indian head enders. The box ended up having 33 Indian heads, which beat my record for most wheats in a box. It was crazy! I kept the ender rolls sealed though.
@@JerryWick they must have and luckily someone who cares about coins (me) got them and gave a good home for them. Went back the bank and picked up more boxes, there were two sister boxes but one had 4 IHP and the other had 5. Doubt I could ever top that ever again
Just watched this video while hunting a box of nickels. Six rolls after finishing the video I found my first ever buffalo nickel. 1936-P so nothing special as far as rarity, but it's special to me now.
Wow that's us crazy not only a good box with all those Buffalos but a V nickel ender! That is crazyer than that IHP ender since you have only found like have the amount of V nickels as IHP!
Speaking of great finds I found a 1921 50% silver six pence coin in a penny roll! I didn't think I could top finding a 1902 Indian Head Cent, but finding silver in a penny box did for sure!
I was able to find an 1883 v nickel in circulation while working the register at McDonald’s. The no cents variety, it was about VG detail, but had been polished
Wow! What a great hunt. I just wouldn't think you could find a V-Nickel in rolls these days, but then again, it's crazy to me that one might still find buffalo's out there, but you find them pretty regularly. Thanks for sharing!

Fun to see the older finds in your hunts! A friend recently gave me a ziplock sandwich bag of v nickels, all 1900’s. All but 1912s.Now I’m working on filling the slots in my book with the later 1800’s.

When you found that Buffalo in the first roll I thought come on collection dump! But hey, I'll take that trifecta any day and all week long!

I had a v nickel ender before it was so slick that I thought it was a blank planchette till I opened the roll

I have only found two V-nickels from bank rolls - and that one was SWEET even with the slight damage! Especially with it being an ender!
I found a 1908 V nickel on the end of a roll, nothing other than older Jefferson nickels in the box with it.

Rob, I found an 1894 V nickel (key date) in F-12 in the coin return of a newspaper box in Trenton, NJ, back in the 1990s!
