The one thing you didn’t show/mention is that the grind setting knob has a spring loaded nub (above the adjustment shaft) that holds the setting. Makes the “click” as you turn the knob. This will fall out when you turn the machine on its side. It is a very small white part with a very small spring behind it. I have found the small white plunger and ended up having to use a spring from a mechanical pencil to actuate it. never could find the original spring on the floor.
I fixed mine by bypassing the safety switchoff that turns the grinder off if you lift up the top lid or take out the grounds hopper. Now it works fine. It's actually nice to be able to take off the lid to stir the coffee beans as they go down into the grinder. At that time, several years ago, there was a video on TH-cam addressing that particular fix. You can probably figure it out yourself by following the wiring.
@@Blazerfan11 Hi, tnx for the tip. I have bypassed both switches and it still sometimes work and sometimes not. I figured out something with motor wiring and when it vibrates it looses connection. I will give it to local repair guy to figure out where is loose connection.
Hey I have the same exact problem with my Krups grinder. It works for 3 secs and it turns off. I press the button again and again to get enough coffee powder in the end, but sometimes it doesn't work at all. I wonder if it's the safety sensor problem. I already super cleaned it, considering it could be a piece of bean stuck somewhere, but still...it's not back to normal 😪.

Thanks for this video. We've used our Krups daily for over 10 years(and it was used when we got it!) This is the first failure ever
This completely, perfectly showed how to fix my Krups -- which i've now fixed! Just takes a bit of determination in spots. Thanks!
Cracked hopper lid, but now I know how to take it apart..with a steak knife 🙂. Thanks TechMD
Great video! Part is available if you want, but $40.00 shipping to Canada! I'll take this repair all day!
Thank you!! This was the exact solution to my problem. 👏👏👏
You are a saint!
Thank for sharing
great, thanks!
Useful - thanks!
Did you just add a layer of glue on the switch connection to fix it by adding thickness to the connection?
That's what I got -- I'm trying to find a more elegant way to reinforce my super-glued bond.
i broke the left maneral 😢
My gvx2 just turns on, grinds for 3 sec and turns off. Any idea what to look for, sensors are good and the button seems clicking? Thank you in advance

@@kobatz82 Yes, maybe the a connection to the motor needs to be re-soldered or something like that.
