Is the Stomp identical to J hook except the right for is on bottom instead of ever-so-slightly on top? In my head, it seems slightly less secure than J hook, since the latter isn't really side by side, but rather a tiny overlap. Love the idea to train from a box!
The ropes are durable and just like the ones at the gym. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxTFxba6lNeHrZaHoY_LXe6ZzmMfaipnwu Caution: I bought the 50 feet ropes and they are long and heavy so make sure you have the space (I do have the space). If I was to do it again I would probably get a shorter version as 50 feet (25 feet each side) is a little long.
I watched your video last night as I was running an event in Stockholm today called the tough Viking, I didn’t even get a chance to practice with a real rope, but I got to the rope station, tried the clamp with my feet, tried to push and up I went. I amazed myself that I actually climbed the rope but the clamp technique works great! Thanks for the help!
Thank you so much! This looks really helpful! I'm rope climbing for a spartan race and haven't practiced as much as I should, so I'm looking forward to trying these out!
Great advice. I'm a former Marine and the method we use is great for load bearing but the 'stomp' method is way faster! Really good knowledge on this channel 👍 We all know a coach Chad though don't we....😂
I prefer the S-Hook or Spanish Wrap myself since it's more stable for me. The only problem I have with any of the technics is what happens when your grip strength is totally shot and can't hang on to the rope long enough to bring your legs up, clamp down and stand? That's what happened to me over the weekend when I did back to back Spartan races.

I've been looking at dozens of rope climbing videos and this was by FAR the most helpful. Thank you so much!
You're so welcome, good luck with the rope climbs!

My gym instructor said the one thing he hasn't seen anyone do was climb the rope...or at least all the way to the top. Gonna make History!

This is the best rope climb video!!
I tuoi video mi hanno aiutato molto a imparare la salita alla fune per superare una prova concorsuale...Great💪👍

Awesome video!!! Thank you!!!
You are so welcome!
All of your videos top tier dude! Keep up the great work!
Very helpful! Definitely can relate now to the 4 steps.
Any advice on which specific rope type to use? 1.5 inches or 2? Synthetic battle rope or hemp or cotton?
Thank you for the information
My pleasure
Thx!❤
Excellent video!
I’ll go with coach chad’s advice, seems more doable 😂
Yeah lol
Goofus & Gallant
How thick should the rope be if you have large hands?
How do you get back down again?
Hands only may not be the most efficient but it does build a ton of strength. Very common in gymnastics
Very common in CrossFit Games, too, but most non-elite women will never be able to achieve it.
Yeah I think it’s fine to use your feet but no hands then
How to go down them, when Im on top, I´m afraid to dont know How to go down safely
Its true
What if u climb without shoes and when you do the clamp it tears up ur feet
wear shoes
Gorilla tape the rope
This is so much harder than it looks.
Sir, I can't climb the rope. Help me. I can't go on my arms. How will i get strength in arms ??
I had to gorilla tape my rope to not get friction burn
I could never get the footing right
keep trying!
I tried doing this at Venice Beach barefoot in the sand 😂 made it a 1/3rd-1/2 way. I'll do much better next time
has anyone ever told you that you look a hell lot like Johnny Sins?
Jesus and God loves u
ok pero por qué no usa guantes xd
Girls use their legs I'm not getting a rope to use anything but my upper body
_Easier than Walking a tight rope._
First thing one notices, is how much warmer it is. 🙄Closer one gets to ceiling.🫠
