Signed up for the Savage Race a few days ago, and have never REALLY climbed a rope...I bought a 15 footer, got it attached to a tree in my front yard...tried a few times as you'd think you should climb...MAYBE got 1 foot up the rope...found your video..after 2 tries I made it to the top of the limb!
probably the best tutorial on how to rope climb! having an actual beginner in the video doing the movements slowly helps a lot!
❤ learned the scissor concept and sitting on the box to start… thank u so much!
I love these tutorials with actual beginners - thank you :) hoping there is more to come! How about a toes to bar?
Great tutorial
this is awesome - thank you!!
This is probably the most helpful video.
Thank you so much for the video! I can climb the rope no problem. But to come down is very terrifying. I'll try your technique for sure. And Nicky good job!
Thank you!
The slice/unslice is a really useful cue I think I'll use in future. I usually tell people "clamp" but it doesn't always translate.
Idk if you will see this! But using this video I finally did the rope climb in my ocr race!!! Thanks!
That's awesome - thanks for sharing! 🙌
Oh wow, let me look at this again.
Good video
Would you be able to do a tutorial for legless rope climbs?
great video 😂❤
What size rope to use?
I’d love to know how to come down faster/more efficiently. I see athletes let go of the rope & clamp on the way down. Would love to know how to do this without getting rope burn!
I did this J rope 3:41 in the morning
I guess you can consider your clamp methods more of an advanced/ speed method but the beginner/intermediate method would be all the way on top with the bottom leg/ left leg
It should be illegal to show this on videos, people will be f’kin around and finding out alone in a 24 hour gym 🤭
