During the plant based diet, he made sure he got more sleep, more exercise, reduced his alcohol and carbohydrate intake. So he made changes to other things during that plant based diet that he didn’t do when he was on his meat based diet. Not a true comparison.

Exactly. He said he drunk alcohol and didn't exercise much or at all. he made changes to those things while he was eating processed fake meat for a week....hmnmmm so was it really the processed fake meat or was it the not drinking alcohol and exercising more that caused his blood work to improve. They really didn't establish a correlation between eating impossible meat with improvement in health so this whole video is irrelevant. 🗑

Dont spread your ignorance. You realize there is an allowable amount of feces in real hamburger don't you? the protein in the company's burgers is made from soy and potatoes. There is fat from coconut and sunflower oils, and there are binders from methylcellulose and food starch, which help hold the meat together so that it can be made into patties, meatballs, or even kebabs.

There's a degree of false equivalency here. The 2 most popular varieties of plant based burgers specifically are Impossible and Beyond Meat. Neither of these products use the same ingredients and have different properties. Impossible uses soy protein, whereas Beyond uses pea protein. It is dishonest to choose a single example to represent the entire spectrum. Sadly, in just a few months time, the cost comparison has nearly swapped results. Price of plant-based meats have decreased, whereas real meat has increased in price due to shortages.
I unintentionally did a similar experiment as far as eating plant based food for a week, with one exception of some tuna, and shed nearly 8 pounds as a result.

This argument is a fallacy. It's not that we should be eating plant based meat, it's that we should be eating a plant based diet. These foods mentioned are not an every day food, for the same reason hamburgers aren't an every day food. Plant based whole foods, with the occasional comfort food like any normal person would eat.

I'm not totally meatless, but I have used meatless products. I love hotdogs but I couldn't grill them because of the sodium, so I would boil my hotdogs to get rid of some of the sodium. I started using meatless hot dogs and I grill them on my GF grill and they taste delicious. However, high sodium from foods is what is killing people. The hot dog rolls are high in sodium. So, you have to watch your sodium intake. You try to remain healthy but it is very difficult with processed food.

    I have to admit,
When I decided to stop eating meat, by the 5th day, the pain I had in my ankle that I had for almost 5 years was gone because one of the down sides to eating meat is that it causes inflammation in your joints and for almost 5 years, the severe ankle pain I had in my ankle which I couldn’t do a full sprint for a full block without being sore for 3 days afterwards was completely gone!!!
    Also,
Your energy levels go through the roof when you stop eating meat because it clogs your arteries and makes you really sluggish.
You really do lose weight because I lost the same 5 pounds within the first 4 days because I’m a patient transporter for Lenox Hill Hospital so I do A LOT of walking.
The benefits of replacing real meat to plant based meats are a lot healthier AND the energy that comes with eating fruits, vegetables and plant based products is along with exercising and changing those bad habits are astronomical.
For someone that loves meat like the best of them, it’s hard to stop, but when you think about the road that you will go down eating real meat, you’ll get all the motivation you need after the first week of the plant based diet.
Do it for 2 weeks and I can guarantee it’ll change your life!!!

The 80mg sodium per beef patty is just the sodium content of the plain beef with no seasoning, but once you add salt to season it, it probably has the same sodium as the plant-based. So I don't think there is much difference there, it's just that the plant-based is already seasoned so it has more sodium up front.
And 370mg sodium per serving is all relative to the rest of your diet, in terms of whether it's too much or not. AMA recommends

@@oo6112 I am truly sorry you are misinformed. It breaks my heart that people have been brainwashed for money ... for years. Most all of us have been for decades.
I finally had 20 years and enough sickness and frustration with my type 2 diabetes and became educated on the subject and figured out the cause and cure for more than just diabetes, but also traumatic brain injuries, seizures, high HLD levels, the gut microbiome, depression, anxiety, fatty liver, heart disease, and SO much more. What a relief it has been in my life, my family's lives, and in my friend's and stranger's lives (whom I have shared the love with).
It doesn't sound like it, but if you would ever like to learn about Ketogenics and intermittent fasting and all of its countless healing benifits, I'd be glad to be the one to teach you. Fat makes you fat is all about big money. Cholesterol being bad for us is a myth. I have the literature and cited peer-reviewed studies.
SIDE NOTE: And the "vegetable" oils ... "aren't really that good for you" is the understatement of the year. Canola oil and the like are killing people faster than we can count. There are INCREDIBLY damaging toxins in them that aren't even made from vegetables as they promote.
CRISCO (crystalized cottonseed oil) was made to oil machines. After they added chemicals, it started to look like lard. Dr. Joel Wallach in 1902 invented it as a lubricant for submarines. It was sold to Proctor and Gamble Soap Company who then made a deal with the fledgling American Heart Association for 1.7 million for an ad campaign to promote it.
They simply added a bit more chemicals like detergents and emulsifiers.
A gross fact is that when they sold it originally they sold the CRISCO in a bag with a yellow capsule of dye to mix in the oil to make it look like butter. Without spewing a ton more details on CRISCO, I'll just say that they soon figured out how to sell it already mixed and called it .... Margarine.
      🙄👎
Meat doesn't cause cardiovascular problems. That is a myth.
      Sugar and inflammation does.
If you would ever like to learn about Ketogenics, I share the information for free (unlike big pharma and people selling random cures).
This is a moderate (healthy) fat, moderate protein, low carbohydrate and intermittent and extended fasting way of life. It's brilliant. You can do keto without the fasting, or fasting without the keto, but they 100% go hand in hand for optimal health. You can't out run a SAD diet (Standard American Diet).
To heal on a cellular level, you need to get healthy to lose weight, not lose weight to get healthy.
      This heals.
      God bless and stay well.
      💃🏻💞

I understand why the conversation is being had but just take your health into your own hands at all times. Maybe 3 square meals of meat, no matter if it's real or fake, isn't exactly good for you. Fruits and veg, whole grains, FUEL your body. 💪♥️ And be kind to animals in the process.
