- The lure of being his own boss led Dave Spurgeon down a dark road. He became a leader in the infamous Outlaws Biker Club, but the crime that came with that role landed him behind bars.
I love this man, he came to preach at our church quite a few times. Love you brother!! This guy was the real deal and his book is amazing

He looks completely different from his younger self....not just physically, but his demeanor doesn't exude anything that would remotely give hint to an Outlaw biker. PRAISE GOD

This is to all with negative comments I been in this wheelchair auto related many years now. And I have seen many more paras SCI injured give up on themselves. Alcohol. Drugs just gave up living. And I'm still here but I give it my all to Jesus still have my struggles but I get down in my heart and He lifts me up in my heart! I rather be in wheelchair then to look down on people! PTL

That's what we all need to do is give up on ourselves. He didn't give up on himself he just gave his life to the One who loves him most.

You don't join a Motorcycle club with the intention of going to prison, first and foremost it's a brotherhood, a passion for freedom of choice! This Country seems to be loosing that concept! I have a copy of his book Bikin and Brotherhood and nothing in his story tells how his sentence was reduced, a lot, so I'm inclined to believe he cooperated with the powers that locked him up!
Dude, Dave is a personal friend of mine. His sentence was reduced for no other reason than an act of God. His boss Taco Bowman is serving life for 3 murders. Dave still writes him and occasionally visits him....He would not he allowed to do that if he was a snitch. Taco would have had him taken out to. He never snitched about anything. He got saved and pled guilty just like he said.
He was a close friend to the family and my mother has tried talking to him and refuses so I think he's ashamed

I know this man. He probably wouldn't even like me defending him but I can't help it here. He may have been a lot of things but one thing this man never was is a rat. Wayne Hicks was the rat. Check the records. This man continued to attend funerals of the man he still called his brothers after he became a Christian. He left the MC with Tacos blessing. You have no idea what you're talkin about and that's slander.

I read the book and it doesn't cover his conversion to Christianity.
I talked to Dave and he said it's not intended to. He doesn't mention anything spiritual until the last chapter. He said he did it intentionally so as not to turn people off to the book first thing. Some would not read it if at first it came off as a "religion" book.
It does if you read the whole book. Wisely, he leaves the conversion account to the last couple of chapters.

There's never anything wrong with finding the dear lord baby Jesus and all that good stuff, but this man had to have ratted out his brothers and club to only get that nice comfy 5 year probation sentence out of all those felony charges! That's lowly and disgusting, and absolutely unforgivable! Yes God does forgive, but Outlaws don't. Support your local Outlaws!

I don't know where to find him or really who he is, but if ever given the chance I'm sure I would. Actually I'm sure he's probably been asked several times by the people that do know him. Us common folk will probably never get to know the answer though unfortunately.
