Gang culture is so pathetic that its literally sad. I have family members that use to be in the bloods. They fight over territory which they dont even own, aid in poisoning the community, and hurt one another. A lot withold great wasted potential as well.😔 I understand why they exist. I just wish things were different.
The Pastor is so right. It is men who need to make and support change in other men and let younger men know that perpetuating a world of hurt onto your family, your wife and your children is not the way. Men have to earn the trust of their girlfriends, future partners and her network. There are many good and even great men out in our world so it can be done, it is no big secret.
Men should earn the trust of their girlfriend family. That use to be a thing. The families would meet to get an understanding of the others family. That's when people respected families.
Let's remember there's other people raising these young men than men? Many times it's the women raising them while the daddies are out doing whatever. The Mamas aren't doing the best job and no they're not doing it all on their own either. Now I'm talking about anybody who gets into criminal activity and not just gangs. That's also remember that there are also females in gangs. Sure the man do need to get out there and show young men how to be better men. There are men that are out there trying to make a difference unfortunately there are not enough because fools that have nothing to do with gangs prop up the lifestyle. That's the biggest problem is others outside of this problem making it cool. Young man listen to gangsta rap in the suburbs and given young criminals who literally kill people money. You know more power and more ego to never stop being part of the gang until they're dead.
One takeaway I had while watching the entire thing was that a lot of gangs or crime organizations get formed due to a need to take control in the community. Due to the lack of presence and reliability of law enforcement, people tend toward the road of taking matters into their own hands--whether that be protecting people or creating an image of power. It shows how communities that are deprived of security will find a way to establish a system to make themselves feel safe by grabbing power. The trend of gang members being recruited at such a young age goes to show how weak the support systems are for young members in their society, reaching the extent that kids find themselves more inclined to pursue these organizations to be a part of something and feel a sense of camaraderie, even at the expense of committing to a life of crime. It takes a lot of willpower to subject yourself to that lifestyle and I'm sure it takes just as much to get yourself out of it too.
The guy who used to be Paco....man, he is doing great things! I love how his daughter's power of influence helped motivate him to rely on the Lord to change his life!! Him being a pastor who used to be in a gang and lived the life style, has put him ina unique position to reach people who most church leaders csnt reach; because others cant truly say, " i know how it feels", "i know, i have been there." A lot of people living in a cycle of life cant believe someone that tells them "the Lord can forgive you, if u repent and get baptized", if they havent lived that way before. Thank you for this video. Young people need to see this!
I’m not Christian BUT I’ve always trusted those kinds of pastors more. Former convicts, women, non-white, lesbian/gay, etc pastors have a stronger ability to convince me god may be real because through tough times, through ostracism, they found safety in religion. They don’t use the Bible to condemn others because they TRULY understand that’s Gods job to judge. Not theirs. (Obviously not generalizing, anyone can use the Bible to their own advantage) I’m proud of him. He seems to carry a lot of trauma when he speaks and if God and religion helps him come to terms with that, then I think it can only be a positive thing.

@@donsims1941 If you actually study crime and therefore know what youre talking about like I do, you'd realise that in fact, "gang neighbourhoods" have the heaviest police prescence and therefore most crime. The key indicator and cause for crime taking off in a neghbourhood is the police making the strategic (and political/race related in fact as they exist mainly to protect the interest of the wealthy and corporations and are of course inherently racist) decision to flood an area with police, and then crime rises, the heavier they police an area, the more criminality takes off, its a natural response and a well understoood sociological phenom

@invictusbp1prop143 People always find places willing to overlook convictions of felony charges. Kind of messed up to make light of other people's good intentions by acting like they had no other choice. The chose to be a part of change, so that people could see another life for themself.
My dad and uncle were Crips, my uncle went away for over 10 years. When my uncle went away my dad and him both left the gang and left Compton. My uncle met my aunt before he went to jail and had my cousin. My dad met my mom at college, had my brother and I. I never got to meet my uncle, only speak to him on the phone. Despite this, my family continued to keep him in our lives. I remember the prison he was in let us all visit for his birthday. I saw his face for the first time since I was a baby. They let us take pictures, I still have it to this day. My uncle got released recently, and I met him for the first time without glass and cuffs. I didn't know we would be seeing when we went to visit my Grandma and cousin, when we saw him my dad was so shocked he couldn't even move. That first day I don't think we left each other's company. We call and text and facetime every day now, I never thought I'd see the day I could have such easy and quick communication with him.
These stories are valuable. Despite their differences, most gangs share similar core themes. The majority joined for protection, financial opportunity, and self-esteem. It's interesting that people also join hate groups for those same reasons. If we (society) really wanted to get rid of gangs, we would create opportunities in the communities where people are most at-risk for joining gangs. We're just not willing to spend money on community centers, education and social welfare. Too many people see that as "special treatment". I disagree, but I'm in the minority. My only criticism is of the MS13 guy. I wish he would have explained the argument for NOT deporting undocumented gang members. I have empathy for them and want to understand his point of view. Realistically though, every country I know of deports criminals who are non-citizens; we're no better or worse. Also, I don't understand why we should shoulder the social cost for the crimes, and then later the financial cost for the incarcerations, of people who aren't citizens? I'm not talking about regular people who happen to be undocumented, I mean the people he was describing to who come here as gang members, live here as gang members, and then get deported.
Well if u think about it, if u start deporting criminals to different countries that are still technically legal citizens, there will be a lot of gangs starting in those areas. They expand, and that’s even worse because it actually gives less opportunity for gang members to escape the gangs and their ideology. It’s a terrible solution long-term and it causes problems for several countries that can’t contain that amount of criminals.
I was arrested every year of my life from the age 12 to 17 for violent and theft crimes, I was facing an armed burglary charge and encountered the Holy Spirit in my cell reading a Bible one night. It absolutely is. It's well known that the ATF have been involved in several gunrunning scandals. Priority One of any organization is to ensure it's own existence. The ATF creates crime so they can continue to "fight" crime, and make alot of money doing so. Yeah, cool story bro
Sadly the great, kind, hardworking men are not glorified the way psychopaths, sociopaths and thugs are.
Men should earn the trust of their girlfriend family. That use to be a thing. The families would meet to get an understanding of the others family. That's when people respected families.
Just remember not all females are nice either
@@neffort I'm not dating the entire family lol
Him being a pastor who used to be in a gang and lived the life style, has put him ina unique position to reach people who most church leaders csnt reach; because others cant truly say, " i know how it feels", "i know, i have been there."
A lot of people living in a cycle of life cant believe someone that tells them "the Lord can forgive you, if u repent and get baptized", if they havent lived that way before.
Thank you for this video. Young people need to see this!
material racket to spiritual racket.

"When you both taking the loss of lives, there's no winners" Facttss man
This is good insight
I agree with you completely 🙂
Well if u think about it, if u start deporting criminals to different countries that are still technically legal citizens, there will be a lot of gangs starting in those areas. They expand, and that’s even worse because it actually gives less opportunity for gang members to escape the gangs and their ideology. It’s a terrible solution long-term and it causes problems for several countries that can’t contain that amount of criminals.

It absolutely is. It's well known that the ATF have been involved in several gunrunning scandals.
Priority One of any organization is to ensure it's own existence. The ATF creates crime so they can continue to "fight" crime, and make alot of money doing so. The FBI keeps databases of all seized child porn and sells and distributes it to the dark web just so they can shut it down later. The DEA sells drugs they confiscate on the streets to wrap up gangs.
