Been a correctional officer in a states max custody facility since I was 19, now 48 years old. This is one of the most eye opening interviews I've ever watched. Obviously I have different views and opinions but I was absolutely glued to every word. Great interview.
one of my opinions ( and of many people outside the us) is that the american prison system is incredibly inhumane and and a violation of human rights. this is like the only guy who came out the other end alive or a better human, but the reason why hes still here is because hes good at knife fight... and nothing of that is a sign of a working prison system.
Now Thompson stands accused not of violent crimes, but exploitative white collar offenses, such as bilking homeless people out of unemployment, or signing up a fake Southern California firefighting company for $1.5 million in business loans. According to the complaint, Thompson and his co-defendant, whom he met in prison, convinced 16 people to give up their personal information to benefit the alleged scheme.
You a fool then it's all bullshit.....he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars since he been out he going back to jail soon..... sorry to disappoint you ......the interviewer is also no good ..... peace out...B

Some of us use profanity for certain people and situations because we can't use what we want to use. Jail and prison is just another place for us to rest from the rest of society's bullshit.
Really all you can do inside that long is get smart and we are human at the end of the day Mike T has a couple degrees he's very smart inside back in the day if. You said something he didn't like he would grin at you you got jumped or got a check that night so if he smiled just to smile you was worried the rest of the night
This was an incredible interview. We need to share Michael's content as much as possible. There are a multitude of people that interviews like this one can reach.
I agree. But the second poster had a Reply comment saying that Big Mike is back in for some kind of "theft of govt services". I asked for some kind of link, some form of proof, cause after 45 years, and from what it sounded like, he's got it made on the outside now, I can't imagine that someone who's clearly gained a vast amount of education would willingly do ANYTHING that would even remotely have a chance of endangering that. Still waiting on a response, but I asked about 5 minutes before making this comment. I really hope that comment was wrong. I liked Big Mike when I saw the Documentary some years back, found him to be incredibly well spoken and intelligent, and see that has grown exponentially as he's seen here. I can't imagine him risking anything now. Unless he got set up for not "testifying" the way they wanted him to. That would suck.
@Sandman💀 Con man. Ed Kemper interviews are classic how incarcerated smart (narcissists)people can fool you. They've had to con their way out of the world's toughest judicial system.
This is probably the best podcast I’ve ever seen, Michael Thompson is a success story as you are as well,Mike! I was overwhelmed with emotion! Brought tears to my eyes. Continued success I hope for you and Mr. Thompson as well.

Mike, as you stated "alot of those in prison shouldn't be there," I see a tremendous amount of those in our mist who should be there immediately!! This interview is extremely informative. Congratulations to you both for your incredible success! Bless you 🙏
Michael is a handsome man. Thompson is spectacularly beautiful with a unique aura. Look at his eyes, there is no evil there. I'm not white as the Aryans think, I think, because I never think about those things to be honest but I understand people fighting for their cultural heritage and this man is only guilty of that. He probably (100%) did some things wrong in jail but that's how some survive and others don't.

Are kidding me?! How come I’m just finding this channel now?! TH-cam pisses me off. Thank you for making this channel Michael, and Michael Thompson, congratulations on getting out, I watched your documentary a long long time ago. This is so incredible how you two men are sitting down one on one. Hope both of you had a great and stress free Christmas. So glad I found this channel.
You are finding it because Musk bought Twitter and all social media is canceling the Ghosting of conservative or Right Wing accounts. I found Mike years ago but he disappeared. After Musk came clean? Dozens of his videos appeared.
@@ayugoslav5554 no they arent. Size and fitness has little to do with a determend foe. A person that can 'turn on extreme violence is far more dangerous then a 'fit' avg person
Or two men who have done their time, repented, and are seeking to live better lives. A dangerous man is just an actual man. Having the ability to bring violence is biblical manhood. Doing it for unbiblical purposes means that they are not men. Both were just murderous degenerates before. I feel like they have both had some sort of spiritual awakening. Time will tell on both.
Wow, what a great sit-down. Two seasoned men that tell it like it is talking about the double standards within our justice system.. Great conversation Michael. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

What I love most about this interview was that it wasn't a conversation sharing grievous prison stories. Rather, it was a very intellectual dialogue addressing matters of the heart. I enjoy watching both of these guys, and this is exactly the type of content society as a whole needs. I hope to meet these guys one day and to sit and have a conversation with them. Lord wiling, great interview, thank you both.
One of the best conversations I have heard between to Ex-Criminals. God bless you both. You guys should do future pad casts. You compliment one another engaging in good conversation.
@@michaelfranzese Yep, you guys could get a pocast going with the 2 of you, where you guys talk to current criminals, or prisoners who haven't changed their bad ways yet. You guys could be a guiding light, and bridge for criminals bcuz they could relate to you guys, and as such, your message has a much better chance at reaching them. You wouldn't even need to talk to them specifically about changing their ways, but rather just speaking with them, without judgment, they'll be able to see a practical way out, and a life that they could build for themselves. Not only despite their past, but even bcuz of their past. Their knowledge and experiences could be used for good, if they so choose. And they could always invite Christ into their lives, to guide them towards a live rich of dignity, love, and God's strength. At any rate, sincerely sending my prayers to the both of you. 🙏
One of the most amazing individuals I've ever listened to. Such erudition and intelligence from a guy incarcerated for 45 years, 30 in solitary!! Truly incredible.
Do some research. This man, first of all never did 30 years in the shu. He dropped out after a year in lockdown. He went to a Special unit with other protective custody inmates to do this time (sny) Basically, Gp for Pc's. This man is a giant piece of shit.
I remember Mike Thompson from many prison documentaries 25 years ago! For some reason I always liked him. I definitely will tune in to his new podcast. This was one of the best sit downs you have done. I hope he will be on your show again for a follow up. Thank you! Chicago Fan
They are all innocent when your in there buddy. He has to say that. What he didn't have to say is this great country is out to get black men. What a crock!
Crazy as it sounds, the institutions in American society USED TO be out to get black men, but TODAY the machine is out to get straight white men.. Clearly this guy has cognitive dissonance, when the country "FALSELY" imprisoned him, a white man, for 45 years... I'm not rooting for anyone, I'm just calling it how it is. People openly admit hiring and selecting and promoting based on dark skin and lgbt. They are the first ones in every line and straight white men are pushed to the back.
I remember watching a documentary about the A.B. years ago that featured Michael and he seemed like a very intelligent eloquent guy and seeing him free now after 45 years and sitting down with a guy like Michael Franzese and both being able to give their unique perspective on life I think is fascinating.
What i dont like is hes a verified Bonafide super tough brawler, BUT he made up and exaggerated several stories lol. The prison guys that knew and knew of him all universally say that its true, he was for a time an enforcer and a seriously deadly one. However he exaggerated about the number of men he simultaneously fought and other things. The actual stories were apparently crazy enough but he went over the top talking about beating 10 guys or whatever.
@@mikimiyazaki yeah unfortunately when we are young we sometimes make bad decisions and choose the wrong path. At least this guy has gained wisdom as he’s gotten older and realizes they errors he made

It's such a beautiful thing ,that a black man can enjoy an interview of a Aryan Brotherhood man. Personally ,I can't stand white supremacist YET I watched this open mindedly WITHOUT assuming the man was a Devil. The world is such a complicated place , quite strange how the leader of the White prison gang is NOT a racist man. I mean he loved going ro Native sweat lodges !
This guy has to write a book! I too remember seeing him in a prison documentary. I'm glad he's out and about now. He's well spoken and you should have him back on for a part 2 sit down!..
One thing they both mentioned in this sit down… to be a man, is not masculine toxicity… to be a man, is to be masculine, and as such the world is a better place. We are the warriors, and protectors of our families and society.
God bless you Michael for the work you do. I was a firefighter in a large Metropolitan City for over 30 years. I have seen my share of violence, death and destruction , most of it at the hand of man. When friends ask about the "worst thing or things I've ever seen" I think about the things that one person or persons did to another. When you do this type of job for this long you get very familiar with who the bad players are in the area you work. The gang members. The drug dealers. The street people And yes even a few of the mobsters/ gangsters. You may recognize certain tradecraft or handiwork and no who was probably responsible. I've seen a lot of these same people ultimately become the victim as well. I have however you seen a few, albeit very few change their ways and their lives dramatically. For most of these people, like you and your guest today it was an inner reflection of themselves that they were forced to make while incarcerated. It's amazing because of the thousands of individuals who get incarcerated very few make the change. It's even more exceptional when you consider the fact that like you and what your guests talked about today our prison systems are not designed to offer any type of Rehabilitation. They actually do the opposite. It's like grad school for criminals. I've talked to many of these people who would approach me and my crew on the street and say something like "you probably don't remember or recognize me but you saved my life when I was... shot" or "stabbed" or "O.D.'ed" or whatever. They would say thank you for not giving up on me and letting me die. Some of them even admitted to being the one who was responsible for a stabbing or shooting or bludgeoning someone to a bloody pulp. But the point is is I believe inside of every human is the ability to change their course in life and if a few can do so without any help from the system imagine how many could actually be rehabilitated with a little effort. And like you guys said how the politicians really don't care, that's definitely the problem. How can we expect people to care about themselves if they don't see that anybody else does. With the exception of some severely mentally Disturbed individuals I believe most people would rather live a good life than an evil one but when their choices are limited they will do what they have to to survive especially in a hostile environment. Most street cops that I worked side by side with seem to be too jaded and burnt out to be the one to assist these people in finding a better way but it seems as though the few that have reformed themselves Reach Out to the firefighters and paramedics when they run into us because they tell us it was something that we said or just a single moment of compassion that we may have shown for them while doing our jobs that is the reason why they feel compelled to approach us and tell us their story. And they are almost always right, that we don't remember or recognize them because after so many years all the names and faces just become a blur but I do have some small sense of satisfaction when somebody approaches me and my crew to thank us for what we did, Once Upon a Time somewhere in the street, the ghetto, the projects or wherever that that little bit of humanity that we showed them somehow affected their life in a positive way. If the penal system and the courts would show a little Humanity as well I would think it would go a long way toward not only bettering individual lives but reducing a lot of criminal behavior in the future. The fact is is that most of these criminals will be in and out of the system multiple times before they do something so hideous or violent that they're finally put away for life. I believe a lot of that can be avoided and a lot of lives could not only be changed but also we would see a reduction in the numbers of victims as well. Sorry about the long-winded comment, I wouldn't have been able to do this without the dictation feature on my phone as it would have taken me a few hours to type all this but just wanted to tell you that I believe in your message and I believe that you are making a difference. God bless you and your family and please continue doing what you do. And of course may you have a Merry Christmas and a great New Year
What an awesome comment sir. I believe you are right about the little kindness or compassion going a long way. Yes if the system could help out a little bit instead of creating a gladiator school. But alas, think of the big picture. A society that’s based on the police state doesn’t benefit from less criminals, it needs more.
Normally a big chunk of print like that doesn't get digested my end but that was very readable. You never know where compassion can lead. I'm British. I remember ex-Nazi now Catholic scholar Joe Pearce talking about the touches of humanity that changed his life. He once had a fiery radio debate with a member of a Punk band Stiff Little Fingers. He thought after the debate the other guy would ignore him and head off, but instead he asked him if he fancied a pint. They obviously disagreed when chatting over a pint, but the guy treated him like a human being, and it was part of what led to his change. I've been in prison myself. It was a political thing. To me rehabilitation is facilitated by fair treatment, the desire of change has to come from within. In my experience I think what accounts for crime is 90% weakness, 10% wickedness. That 90% can be worked on. God bless you for your service as a fireman and the difference you made to people's lives.
Amen my friend! Thanks for your service!👍🏻 I grew up with a bunch of NYC firemen and they are all great human beings. Cops not so much! lol Jaded like you said!
I actually read your whole comment. Don't worry btw, toy will figure put how to txt faste. Or you can check out on line, they have simple little games that will teach you where to put your fingers to type. I did it about 12 yrs ago and with in about 3 days other computer, I was typing 45 words a minute . Anyway, great comment and I hope your experience don't affect you in a bad way. Fid bless.

Great interview. As real as real can get. My father was in law enforcement and respect that he has changed his life. The things he discussed were some of the same things my late father told me.
Real? Lmao Michael Thompson is back in prison. He was running his frauds at the same time he was giving these interviews. There is nothing real about him and you fail at reading people.

What a fascinating sit down!! I recognize MT from a documentary as others have said.Obviously I don’t know him,but to spend 30 years in the hole, solitary,SHU etc and apparently have all your faculties and be well spoken is quite a massive feat.
Michael Thompson's life is nothing less than miraculous. In EVERY WAY! Thankfully he, and Michael, can continue to be a great help to people through truth and love. If only the political and legal apparatus that run this country had half the integrity of these men we would all be better off. 🙏
Facinating man. He is an example of the best that can come from incarceration. He is wise, practical, and has fully come to terms with the mistakes he made and the life he used to live. That takes immense introspection, and an ability to conquer one's own inner ego. A very eye opening interview.
Giving the backgrounds of these two individuals, this was one of the most fascinating podcasts ever. Makes it more interesting after seeing many documentaries with both of them years ago.

Michael Thompson's around 6'4, and about as tough a guy as humanly possible, both mentally and physically, and I believe entered prison in 1975. Both Michaels are extremely unique to not only achieve the levels they did within the organizations each was affiliated with, but to both now be out of those organizations and still able to to talk about it. Hat's off to these two exceptional men!
One of the most well spoken interviews I have ever watched on any channel. The level of intelligence shown here I believe is a perfect representation of the ability to learn and use the knowledge that he was given the opportunity to acquire while serving time in prison. A very well representative of how people who do serve time are not just mere images or reflections of a single choice made in their life that landed them in prison. Thank you for the content and the message that both of you shared not only in this interview but throughout the platforms that you have made through your life experiences.
Crazy how a guy who literally had to teach himself to read and write in prison is 100 times more intelligent and well-spoken than the current generation
I remember seeing this guy in a documentary when I was a kid. I thought he was a captivating story teller with a lot to offer the world, but I was worried as had just left his gang to pursue what he believed was right and I was always pretty sure the former gang would end up killing him. I’m glad to see he’s alive and free and set on putting out good messages 🙌🏻

Love Michael he's become a huge role model of mine , I'm a recovering addict that did his share of horrible things in the past , all in the name of money and drugs. But men like Michael and Jordan Peterson have helped me find my masculinity again, and have guided me towards finding meaning in my life. Thank you Mr. Franzese!

As a career Corrections Chaplain having ministered in Federal, State & County facilities, I appreciated your comments on faith while incarcerated. This is the key to reducing recidivism.
@@Blazin33ninja I don’t see a ton of Christians running around killing and looting and robbing people. Most of the time, when people repent and give their lives to religion, their lives get better. And there’s evidence that shows this. It gives you a framework and moral compass to live by and also a community of support. Cults are led by dangerous people who brainwash others for selfish gain and to control. There’s a big difference. If everyone just lived with selfish motives, this society would be even worse than it already is. Decades ago when religion was a bigger part of people’s lives, society thrived much better. Traditional values are very important. Society is screwed right now and it’s only getting worse.
bah humbug. faith is as useless as tits on a boar. Like AA has the same success rate as people who try to get sober on their own. You just swap one gang for another, and no gang is worse than the Catholic Church, or the southern baptist convention. Pulling in billions a year, and spend maybe 2-3 cent pr dollar on actual charitable outreach, like soup kitchens, and that is almost always just to have a captive audience to preach to. R*ping all those kids and hiding it for so long didn`t help the reputation either. When I hear the word youth pastor, all my alarms go ringing.
Truth. It’s about Truth. When you reach the end of SELF, then God is able to work. It doesn’t have to be prison. It can be addiction or abuse or blowing up your marriage or family. It’s just about wherever someone finally hits the bottom of SELF. As you can see by another comment, some (most) have never reached that point. Thanks for your work either these lost souls.

@@elliotgregory3356 I don't know the structure behind the AB. I haven't read or seen much about it, basically because I have better subjects to edify myself on, and I couldn't care less about what goes on with prison gangs or any criminal organization for that matter. Oozing wisdom? These dudes are lecturing about what the law says and complaining about people who break the law. Basically saying “it’s really important that you follow the law when you’re trying to catch me breaking the law” 😂 I don’t care if the message is good, there are much better people to give it. You either respect the law or you don’t. These men don’t. And that’s fine. But if you don’t, then shut the fuck up about the law. I’d respect these two men a lot more if they just said “I don’t respect the law” instead of saying “You should respect the law while I don’t.”

He is so articulate and well spoken. Very interesting guy
Two GREAT men, we love ya both, your doing your viewers a great service in relating your experiences to others.

The level of intelligence shown here I believe is a perfect representation of the ability to learn and use the knowledge that he was given the opportunity to acquire while serving time in prison.
Yes my chaplain I respect ur knowledge and love for Jesus but me I been down the beaten path of notoriety all the elite from uptown to downtown in my life I will this u can speak ill of me and will open the Bible and make u shudder
Amazing sit down. I'd love to see the unedited version. Thanks again Michael.
Thanks Michael! This promises to be a very interesting sit down. May God bless you and keep you, and I wish you and yours a very merry and peaceful Christmas!
This was a great interview!!!! I’ve seen you speak a few yrs ago at my church and I read one of your books.
One of the most interesting conversations I’ve ever heard. You both explain Constitutional rights extremely well. Thanks for your perspectives.
What an amazing interview and great free flowing conversation between you guys. Michael, you are such an intelligent guy who after all these years still has so much energy and willingness to give back and help other people, it is nothing short of incredible. This interview was in a different class! Very enlightening to say the least.Thank you both.
Two absolute geniuses. Much respect to you both 👍🏼👍🏼
45 years for tipping off the dad a kidnapping plot was in motion is a hero! You two are absolutely correct about most prosecutors when it comes to individuals who are innocent.
I suggest you find out what he really did, what he states and what the facts are is two different things!
He was a leader of the AB. I'm pretty sure that 45 years he did was due to things that happened inside.
@@JohnHWelch63 .... Oh yes a double murder that won't get you 45 years..Bec they won't give out life sentences on two homicides.
He wasn't a leader per say. He was on a commission which meant he was part of a group that all had to co sign any decisions etc. The California commission consisted of him, Wendell Norris and TD Bingham among others.
@@elliotgregory3356 I don't know the structure behind the AB. I haven't read or seen much about it, basically because I have better subjects to edify myself on, and I couldn't care less about what goes on with prison gangs or any criminal organization for that matter. However, if he sat on some sort of commission he was probably the leader of a faction of the AB. Like the Italian mafia commission, the members who sit on it are all heads of mafia families.
THE BEST INTERVIEW I HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR, GOD BLESS BOTH YOU MEN!!
Thank you Gentlemen, very fascinating interview❤❤
I really enjoyed that conversation, and you really have to admire his intelligence and thoughtfulness on every subject discussed, especially after everything he has experienced
This channel has been on fire recently. Super stuff. Michael is very underrated as an interviewer. Unbelievable job,I love listening. Merry Christmas this season to you Michael and Family. And all the youtubers who believe +
I remember this guy. They did an interview in prison but I thought he had life without parole? Can’t believe he’s out but good to hear his story.
Great discussion! I could’ve listened to this for 10 hrs! Thank you!
If only more content like this would go viral...
Maybe the world would be a better place.
I'm glad these older mobsters and gangsters have discovered TH-cam and decided to use it to share their stories with us. Guys like Francese lived through the era that inspired movies like "Goodfellas" and "Casino"
No doubt! It’s sad no matter how much truth is actually involved. Now they did lots of violent things no doubt, but killing of kids I don’t but.
First off Mr. Franzese never fails to disappoint. I never get bored from start to finish. I can not imagine spending 45 years in jail! Glad to see Mr. Thompson doing well. He certainly is a very intelligent man. Thanks for another great upload.
Congratulations you're the lucky winner of the ongoing giveaway text me on telegram to claim your prize
A little error you made, (one word), which communicates the opposite message. I think you meant that Mr. Franzese never disappoints. You said he never "fails" to disappoint.
@@1StepForwardToday Thanks for the update tips!! 🤦♂️
Both Michaels are incredible men. I would be honored to meet them both. Incredible interview.
Thanks. God bless.
Two male elders just oozing wisdom gained through experience, facing adversity and having the courage to change. I was totally captivated from start to finish, I just wish it was a bit longer. I don't often re-watch videos but I will with this one. God bless these men.
Oozing wisdom? These dudes are lecturing about what the law says and complaining about people who break the law. Basically saying “it’s really important that you follow the law when you’re trying to catch me breaking the law” 😂
I don’t care if the message is good, there are much better people to give it. You either respect the law or you don’t. These men don’t. And that’s fine. But if you don’t, then shut the fuck up about the law.
I’d respect these two men a lot more if they just said “I don’t respect the law” instead of saying “You should respect the law while I don’t.”
I have done a quarter of his time! He helped me learn in jail watching a documentary in prison! Learning everyday! Thank you for that!
This is a very moving interview. Sharing the impact of incarceration, the women in their lifes, the changes, the growth of both of you. Every man should watch and listen to what both of you have as experience and knowledge of life. Thank you both for sharing.
Truly amazing discussion! Thank you and bless you both
Great sit down.Wish you both would become a team as motivational speakers. Stay happy and healthy
