- The orbital precision strike is my favorite and most underrated stratagem in Helldivers 2. It can take down all high tier units, including hulks, chargers, bile titans, and tanks. It is even one of the most effective stratagems against Factory Striders. #Helldivers2 #Helldivers
Its pretty well known nowadays. What people dont know about is the gas strike, same call in time, shorter cooldown, can destroy buildings, and kills light units in a couple seconds, and can kill anything short of hulks and chargers if they spend enough time in the gas.
Gas strike was unusable for months because DOT damage was broken

still worse than the eagle incendiary strike tho with all the fire buffs and fire ship module upgrade but might be better if you don’t want it to effect the cooldown on your 500kg it’s by no means useless

Orbital railcannon has ease of use, and the 500kg has a faster call-in time and a funnier boom
Orbital Railcannon is also far less flexible than Precision Strike (cannot be used on groups of Chargers) while having double the cooldown. If you’re any good at the game at all, Precision Strike is a straight upgrade.
Oh and once you factor in the bomb arming time, 500 kg time before explosion is similar if not the same as Precision Strike.
@@dunadan7136yeah after enough time in the game, you become so good at taking down what the cannon is used for that it becomes obsolete. Specifically because of the cool down.

Air strikes are the best bang for your buck, but there's a few use cases for precision strikes - Precision strikes have a higher armour penetration so can be used on command bunkers and rogue science labs. Similar to the 500s.
Having said that, if complex plotting is in play you cant use it on moving targets effectively so railcannon is better or a sentry.
I try to auto cannon the bot factory when they try to destroy the bot factories before it egale hits

@@Danthepanman1 how? Kills heavys, fabs, bug holes. Sure it works better on bugs but is very reliable for bots. As long as there's no mountain blocking you But other call in can get blocked by them all the same.

I like using the Tesla tower against breaches. It kills a ton of those little guys and it lasts forever. Of course my dumbass teammates ruin this by throwing multiple cluster strikes right on top of it. 🙄
People just use the rail cannon for the guarantee hit
almost garanteed, sometimes it misses the bile titans because of fluctuation modifier

I use it because its easier just throwing the stratagem in the general direction of a charger or a hulk without having to stick around aim and predict their move

Complaining about orbital fluctuations is just skill issue. Bait the Bile Titan a bit more or expend a second stun grenade vs Charger groups.

@@dunadan7136 when orbital fluctuations is there its just better to have a 500kg since you get 2 per recharge with upgrade and I'd rather swap it with airburst strike, paired with flamethrower . Also both are often packaged deal

Yeah but cycling cooldowns between orbital rail cannon and 2 500 kg is usually enough and rail cannon is instant and very cool

Precision Strike is definitely an A+ tier. Run it with a 500KG and you can handle every situation with bugs.
Unfortunately it is wonky if you use it on a planet with increased Orbital Scatter. The cooldown is still 100s for me after maxing out every ship module. It would have been an S tier if the cooldown is 60-70s (similar to EATs).
Sure but I normally go for air burst coz I normally run airstike and 500KG with it
The increased cooldown in comparison to EATs is justified due to higher damage and actually overall ease of use on Helldive. Because OPS is an orbital, you’re not limited by positioning since you don’t have to chase down a support weapon. And it is more powerful than EATs because you can instantly one shot a group of Chargers with it and Bile Titans.
@@dunadan7136Bile titans will most likely survive, although one shotting is possible.
That being said, from my experience, sometimes enemies will feel your presence as soon as the OPS call-in sphere hits the ground, so it takes some aiming to kill more than one charger with it.

Or bring 500kgs with the module that gives you two
500 kg bombs are awesome, but they don’t get the splash damage falloff upgrade that Precision Strike does. This makes Precision Strike far better and more reliable for one shotting groups of Chargers.
Only issue with 500kg is forgetting it comes in at an angle and tryna use it from an elevation only for it to just park up in the ground right next to you. I got up high with the jump pack on a kill bots mission thinking i was hella smart waiting for loads of bots to run to the bottom of the cliff and then called a 500kg in in the middle of em which stuck the cliff right next to me and humbled me right quick

I do it routinely if I see a group of 3 chargers packed together, you probably don't even know what stun grenades are so your opinion means nothing to me
Use movement to bunch them up if needed. Then throw one stun, then throw OPS beacon, then throw a second stun if needed. 2 stuns for 3 dead chargers at once in a high pressure scenario is a worthy trade that I will gladly make. Or you just have skill issue and need incendiary breaker to hard carry you through Helldive. You're exactly the kind of player I wouldn't want in my lobby.
500kg is a fancy description for lawn mower, because that's all it does

The fast cooldown, general effectiveness against bigger enemies plus 1 shotting Hives and Fabricators makes it a very solid choice on any Helldive
The only reason why you don’t see people using it is because it takes 6 or 7 seconds to drop and by the time it’s down your enemies had moved on 💀
It's not hard to get used to using it like with bikes run up to em as soon as they raise up put it under em it still lands before they move again. Oh and don't forget to dodge the Puke
If you can use 500 kg bombs, you can use Precision Strike. 500 kg may seem to have shorter call in but there is a bomb arm time which in practice makes it similar to Precision Strike.
To one shot a titan, just drop it, let the titan take a swipe at you, run hard right to avoid the swipe, the titan will be locked in that position to finish its attack. Then bam! The orbital will land on the titan.

It's pretty much the same:
OPS takes 5 seconds after throwing to impact.
500kg takes 3 for the eagle to fly in (even if the description says 0s). Then the eagle drops the bomb, which takes around a second, and then it lays there for another second before exploding. So yeah, both take 5 seconds.
It sticks to tanks - I bring it to bot drops frequently

Just EAT. Drop it on a charger and you have a orbital railpod. + 2 more launchers for chargers or titans.
Throw it in Front, as soon as titan is on top of it, run through the Titans legs. It will attack you but stand still while doing so.
Why would I ever use EATs and play the find-the-EAT minigame in the middle of a massive swarm on Helldive when I can just group all the Chargers together, chuck a stun then one shot all of them with Precision Strike?

I only play bots and I use these stratagems every time:
Autocannon / Eagle Airstrike / Orbital Precision Strike / AC Sentry.
Also worth mentioning it also destroys things like detector towers, strategem jammers, and other similar things
How could you call in the orbital strike if strategems are being jammed? You're better of taking the quasser lazer.
Would be great if every helldive mission didn’t have modifiers to make orbitals just miss

This plus the 120 barrage is a great combo, especially with the reduced barrage scatter upgrade
I like the gas strike against the bugs I think it is underrated because I get like at least 30 kills every time I use it and I don’t see many other people using it
I run gas In almost all my runs, I haven't used it on bots enough though

I use this with the Eagle missile strike, a Patrol nor clump of foe can stand after that level of Democracy!
It’s nice when it sticks and works!! Lately I have had it bounce right off the top of a titans head. Or it land to the right of the glowing light. (not really living up to its name) also the napalm is really good now along with the gas.
I always use the precision strike stratigem, because I swear it is far more versatile, useful, and reliable than any other orbital stratigem. Like often also bring the 380mm barrage, and I swear it always misses something, and if I can’t take it out myself, I’ve got the precision strike as a back up.
Honestly, 500kg with ship upgrade that you get 2 of those just completely outclasses the precision strike, but if for some reason you don't want to take 500kg, u can get precision strike as a 2nd best replacement option
Gatling barrage if you run a "heavy" loadout meant for big heavy guys abd not small ones then it is much better
That laser is dope for clearing bases too
I normally run either a clusterbomb run or a napalm strike with an orbital laser. Didnt know this one has a shortest cool down timer than the rest. Gonna use this one next time

I figured this out tonight on Varylia 5. I now run the eagle airstrike, Orbital precision strike and quasar cannon, focusing on bot drops, tanks, and fabricator demolition. If I'm on a planet that doesn't limit me to 3 strats, I'll usually bring in either a jump pack for better maneuverability or maybe an EAT in case of multiple drop ships.
Nah bring a 4th offensive strat. I usually bring the gas for bots since if you direct impact something it will destroy it like the precision does. Fabricators,detection towers and jammers all get destroyed by gas strike hitting them directly
I'd recommend the AMR instead of the Quasar, if you can get past the broken reticle.
Eagle strafing run is also pretty good, icorridor spaces or ehile parallel to a bot drop you can reliably kill most if not all the devastators,im pretty sure it also has enough pen to kill a hulk or tank in the vent

A lot of the starting gear is pretty solid so don't sleep on it!
My go-to setup for obliterating bots is orbital strike, eagle airstrike, laser cannon and a shield gen, stun grenade
rail cannon is instant and 99% of the time never misses. I also can use Eagle Airstrikes which drop in faster and one shot chargers if 1 lands on them in the line of it
I like this stratagem because he is simple and yet effective. However I don't use it since half of the missions I play in have increased time for delivery orbital strikes or have a reduced precision making this on ineffective :/

It’s also great for objectives since it’s such a low cooldown. Also all these comments saying the 500kg is better, well you would run this with the 500kg, not instead of.
always pack one of these with me for every dive. Also good for taking on Automoton factories.
even better now. 2 second call in time and i believe 90 seconds cool-down no upgrades. i’ve taken down many striders with a single eagle air strike and this precision strike and it’s saved the whole team
The sound effects for the precision and rail canon are S tier
It's kinda funny how some of the first unlocks are some of the best hi-dif weapons. Precision Strike, Eagle Airstrike, the Anti-Material Rifle, are all super early unlocks and do a better job at killing heavies and have a lower ttk than most of the higher level unlocks.
I think the Walking Barrage is pretty slept on
When fighting Automatons I always Helldive with the ballistic shield. Ppl usually laugh at me but half the time I end up doing the best 😂.
I actually found myself using it a lot more against enemies before I unlocked 500kg and Railcannon orbital laser (Im sure the railcannon orbital laser I but I never found myself using it that often at all)...The orbital is useful because its basic but FAST it's very reliable for bombing a group of enemies or even better one shooting tricky enemies like hulks or chargers
Destroying watchtowers, crippling striding fortresses, and completely decimating any bot factory from a safe distance. Make this the best stratagem against Automatons.
I run the Orbital Gattling Barrage and the Orbital Gas Strike together strictly for bugs. Drop one or both on a bug breach, and you're set.
It’s very similar to the 500 if you have the eagle upgrades, but it can save you from the problems of multiple eagles because cluster bomb, napalm, and airstrike are all really strong
Biggest reason people ignore it or throw it to the side is while you’re unlocking those higher tier difficulties you’re mainly just doing medium sized hoards of enemies with little high end armor ratings. So players try to get the cluster bombs and etc then forget about the precision strike since it is limited on AOE until they unlock more advanced versions of it
Laser is definitely better but, the cool down tone and versatility of precision is why I always pick it first.
It is possibly one of the best ones to have actually because of that cool down. However, the moment it loses the precision aspect is when it becomes a problem.
This and people need to realize smoke is a good one to have too. If you smoke certain objectives like collecting core samples. You can smoke the terminal so you're not being shot while using it.
I love seeing it land on a Bile titan or Charger and tear them apart!

Orbital Precision strike + orbital laser + eagle air strike + your choice of support weapon = fire load out.

Brought it as a newbie and while my friends and i hid from a tank behind a rock i chucked this at its turret and one-shot it
They buffed the Orbital Precision Strike and made the Rail Cannon weak with its low cooldown. See how long this buff maintains before it got nerfed because Arrowhead hate seeing us having fun.
Idk man. I’ve used it a few times and I’m not going for it. I definitely understand why you’re saying to use it in conjunction with stun grenades too. I need to stop using the orbital laser so much tho. I use that a lot and I run out of uses in every match. I need to start using something that has more uses. Maybe I’ll give this another try. Will update comment after trying it again. I have the stun nades unlocked so maybe they’ll pair up nicely. Thanks for the tip!
Quasar or anti tank to the stomach on a Bile Titan, then call in an orbital rail canon is a guarantee kill.

I’ve mainly used this as my 3rd stratum to help clear hives and factories, if I the orbital rail is on cooldown I throw this bad boy out after getting the bike titan to stop by having it attack. It’s risky but it works
There’s a reason everyone I play with in the endgame uses eagles. Lots of uses, lots of utility, and only 120 minute rearm time gives it a shorter cooldown than almost every powerful orbital.
Also, you can pair it with any Eagle simultaneously
Its a hellbomb replacement on bots, detector tower? Precision. Jammer? Precision. AA guns? Precision
Imo against AA guns its just better to use auto Cannon but yeah i run this on bots everytime cause its op

I also get 3 uses for Eagle Airstrike and if a Bile Titan is still alive after a rail cannon or an eagle airstrike bomb landing on it I straight up can toss impact grenades at it
Precision Strike is okay but there are better options now. I can also use Quaser Cannon and rocket launchers
I have everything unlocked except for the last 6 upgrades they are just so freaking expensive turns up rare samples are rare
Strategems appear to all be side grades. This, the railcannon, and 500kg can all be used for the same things. Precision strike is the low cd but hard to aim one. It can be the "best", with a lot of practice and patience.
I used to exclusively run with the precision strike. However I have recently replaced it with a 500 kg because the two charges are way too valuable and the blast radius is bigger and the punching power seems similar. It's difficult to justify using the precision strike when the 500 kg is available

Yeah, normally I run either precision, 500kg or precision, cluster based on what ill be doing assuming I have a backpack support weapon, I'll take another based on either personal order or what others are taking along, to try and keep a kind of synergy even though randoms are hard to play with
Actually it’s funny to see this video. For the last 2 months I’ve been running with it every single map. Mainly because of the cooldown being so low. + it can take out any enemy/base out in the game. It’s extremely underrated. I run with OrbitalRailcannon/OrbitalPrecision/AirStrike
500KG over everything because, "An Eagle never misses"
Orbital precision is pretty comparable to the 500k, so you can balance your eagle cooldowns if you use airstrikes.
I couple OPS with the 500kg, mutually assured destruction.
Railcannon: everything he said minus the aiming and call in time
Railcannon has way too long of cooldown to be used effectively on Helldive. Especially if there are modifiers that increase cooldown

Tbh if you're cycling between Railcannon and 500 kg bombs, the cooldown on the Railcannon is usually not too bad because you have another response available. But ye I agree that Railcannon is not what I would call an optimal pick, at least for me anyway. Precision Strike is still better because you can legit one shot 3 chargers clumped up together which can happen on Helldive and is annoying to deal with.
@@dunadan7136 it is easy to get groups of enemies with precision. Use stuns and/or ems mortar. I just got 28 kills (2 of which were chargers) with a precision about 3 minutes ago

I go with orbital rail and laser, but I hardly use them. It's a "rather have them and not need them then need them and not have them" kinda thing.

Stun grenade plus precision strike = good time.
I am not saying it's a bad stratagem, because it isn't, but by that point i'd just use stun grenades on the target and aim for their weaksposts.
Or many of the other stratagems that have better tracking.
I don't use it because it Takes forever to land, even tho other orbitals have longer cooldown they are still more effective overall, also Eagle strikes are just superior in most situations

It is a great stratagem. Used it alot on high missions. Problem is i suck with timing so the shots dont usually get direct hits. If not direct usually the titan and hulk just walk it off
gas is also good because of it's got a shorter cool down

BILE TITANS ARE AFFECTED BY STUN GRENADES , YOU HAVE TO COOK THE GRENADE SO THAT IT EXPLODES ON ITS HEAD/BODY.
Using this in combo with stun grenades is amazing
