rescue downed eagle 1 mission needs to be a thing

The planets just aren't exciting enough for me. I'm not exactly a veteran of this game but I enjoyed the itme I played with it. My issue was how barren everything is. The one world I did enjoy was the world with the giant trees but that was one world in a long line of wasteland palnets. Call it a skill issue too but I don't have a consistent group to play with and I'm not good enough to solo and know what I'm doing so I have to rely on random players. This game feels like it's really much better with a solid group and communication. Taking in complimentary strategems and working together. I've not really had that. So getting my ass handed to me on the higher difficulties where the game gets more interesting isn't exactly fun either. THere are really only a few missions I like. One being the protect the "Base" ones. I don't even know what those missions are called and they were some of the few times I felt like I was having a lot of fun on the game. Helldivers 2 is fun enough it just feels like it needed some extra cooking in the oven. Guns sound great calling down bombs is awesome. But when you get killed by some invisible asshole for the upteenth time on a frustrating mission it gets old.

I'm grinding it out cuz i got nothing else to do

Honestly long ago, had it not been for Arrowhead messing us up, we would had BEEN retaken Cyberstan and pushed the Termininds back to their own turf. We worked so hard to recapture planets only for the devs to take it back by 11X. -.- Not to sound treasonous but at this point, what’s even the point of fighting? We’re dying left and right for nothing at this point. Thankfully though I have Warhammer Space Marines 2. 😌

I'm not surprised anymore when a d-bag gets on the Internet and complains about a game that they can't make money off of without contributing to it. And then you idiots actually make a video telling everyone you're quitting. The beta male child energy is strong here. I get that you want attention but grow up. It's sad to see an adult act like you do. If you're going to quit then just go away. If you aren't then maybe have some respect for the game and contribute. You're a whiny little shit and it's gross. Me and the boys played this game for about 3 or 4 days. Realised the missions and enemies were practically the same. Most repetitive garbage ever. Had decent gameplay mechanics but just ruined with what feels like a empty game in boring environments versing boring AI. I don't know how one could play this for more than a week. Every mission felt the same, this game has ZERO substance.

I thought that the DSS would be like the tower from destiny, a place where you can see fellow helldivers and socialise out of battle. I would’ve loved it but as always arrowhead has disappointed us.

And once the Illuminate show up you’ll be back lol.

I stopped playing months ago seeing the downfall a mile away

The DSS orbital treats me like a Traitor... My loyalty towards Super Earth is questionable nowadays. I only went back to the frontline to pass my Love (stress) to the automatons and bugs. This is my freedom of choice.

I have to agreed with him. When I started playing Helldivers 2 I played with 9 friends, now only 2 of them keep playing till this day. It's like he said they don't care that much about playing the game. I also keep playing time to time I'm maxed level with all upgrades and warbonds, but I was expecting that the DSS would be insane and finally they would put a progress system on the game (they didn't). After seeing what it was and waiting for 2 MONTHS just to get the DSS running it was very disappointing and haven't played that much after the 60 day patch. I will still keep playing since I still like the game, but at the same time who knows when will it be the time that I would not care about the game.

We still havent received those capes for the whole sony review thing and its been months since they announced they were looking to add one and honestly, how hard is it to add a free cape when there already so many fan designs to base it off of. I still enjoy this game but i dont play more than 3 games when I launch it and thats just to complete my personal order and get more medals for my time by doing all 3 missions.

I have 700 hours on the game Left in some point because i was bored and came back a few months later Its normal to leave and back So why you make such a big deal out of it Its becous you are a content creator i understand But why the scorched earth? It doesn't make you look good It makes look like a spoild initialed brat.

It's painfully obvious that AH doesn't have a clue how to run a live service game.

Well this is a great moment to remember that in all "resent" gaming history, Ghost ship games (the creators of deep rock galactic) are the only devs that truly earned the respect of many and are still respected to this day Rock and stone

I 100% understand the sentiment. Even if they did release many updates, if you dont enjoy playing it, you should absolutely find another one. Nothing should be stopping you to play any other games. Like even if people found you because of that game, they probably stick around because they enjoy your content, not specifically the game content. I personally still enjoy the game a lot because I can still challenge myself and there's still plently of way to play the game in different way just with the weapon. But im also used to play games like that. Another good example is monster hunter where it's always the same enemy but you have many weapons. I do find that loop enjoyable. But I also know that this is absolutely not something that everyone will do. Most people enjoy a game for maybe 50-100 hours and move one. It's pretty normal. And honestly, at the end of the day, if you have play for that many hours, im sure your got your money's worth. So nothing wrong with moving on.

They've been hinting at the illuminate for several months now, I'm not gonna quit helldivers, It's just one of those games I play once a week or two for a couple hours

Lots of comments talking about the illuminate. It’ll be a decent spike of players. But after 2 weeks of seeing what’s up people will be quick to leave again bc the game just has no longevity implemented in its design in any possible way

IMO I'm glad i done and uninstalled the game since they force ppl to link with PSN.... now days i feel like i enjoy single player games more than live service games......just tire of the endless chase of contents....

I was behind you with what you said so far right until you hit the part where you compare a multi-million dollar franchise from a huge developer that has the money to spend vs basically an indie studio with a much smaller budget. Those two are WILDLY different situations and are not similar at all, other than being live service.

Helldivers 2 is an example of what happens when the developers place their ideas and vision ahead of community enjoyment. I was in love with the game and will honestly always look back at those first few months with joy. However the constant nerfs and developer updates made me start disliking the game. Almost felt like the devs would see what we liked, and then nerfed it out of malice

It's all true. What keeps me going personally is speedrunning and competing for world records (aka the secret PVP mode in Helldivers 2, SRC)

Have you tried No man's sky? The game itself has gone from a buggy mess with broken promises to one of my favorite games of all time. The devs really care for the players and you can see that.

I play helldiver blind, I dont watch TH-cam’s videos about it so I don’t get my hopes up, when the dss came out I thought it was an insanely cool addition but I do think it’s time for a new enemy after a year

Why can't the game just be the way it is? It's crazy how now we are so used to receiving an unfinished game and getting updates though out, that when we get a finish game, we are expecting more

I love Helldivers, I love the lore and everything about it, but I agree Helldivers 2 is far too repetitive, and I hate that, because I adore the game but I can't play it much anymore It's just too repetitive
