If you really want to hate your life. Play the "Promotion leauge." Start base gear, rank cadet, and dive a difficulty 1 mission. It's easy. On completion you rank up to space cadet, difficulty 2 and you get to upgrade your armor, primary, secondary, grenade, or unlock 1 new strategem. But only in increments. You can go from base armor to scout, to unlock light armors, and marksman to unlock heavy armor. Primary weapons are the same. You unlock the 1st in a category before moving up. I.e.: punisher to unlock shotguns, diligence for precision weapons, and the like. Then move to difficulty 3 and get the next rank, and 1 new upgrade. Caviot: You are not allowed to die, not even once. If you die, you start over with a new cadet at difficulty 1. You are following 1 diver from greeny to seasoned veteran. Super fun challenge to do with friends. Because you can stay on the difficulty and use equipment unlocked by whoever survives. But if you have a full squad, it's square 1.
I actually do this to practice it really helps you die less in normal matches if you want to practice to get better and not for just the challenge then I would do lower difficulties until you can do them consistently with no deaths then go up until you’re at max difficulty and I actually think that eradicate swarm I think is the best mission actually because you have to dodge and stuff more
This challenge highlights a lot of the issues with HD2. Enemies walking and attacking through dead bugs while you can't or just get stuck, hunters being way over-tuned, inconsistent damage received, etc.
Inconsistent damage in this game is so annoying, especially with chargers. Sometimes they run you over and deal 1/3 of your health and other times they lightly touch you and you die in one shot.

Back in March I was thinking about if the new player experience for HD2 should have more things available at level 1, such as a turret stratagem and a booster. I understand the default loadout was chosen to not overwhelm new players, but by the time you've played like 5 missions you'll be able to unlock a full stratagem loadout, so what's the point in being so stringent? The first booster you get is on page 3 of the main warbond, so you're missing a core part of your loadout for easily a dozen missions. I'm undecided on whether an existing stratagem should be brought down to a level 1 unlock, or if new things should be added and automatically unlocked. Either way, I do think the new player experience would benefit from these changes, and this video is a great showcase as to why.
I do this a couple of times once every month, the liberator absolutely sucks, 0 accuracy. As for my normal loadout, Primary - varies quite a bit but at the moment im loving the tenderizer, I like the ability it has against devastators. Secondary - Senator Support - AC armour - SC30 trailblazer with a different helmet (Forgot its name), and the black to green gradient with a yellow stripe at the bottom for my cape. Stratagems - Usually* pres strike, 380, eagle air. * I swap out the 380 for eagle smoke strikes on certain mission types, and blitz is just whatever I feel will destroy bot bases that day.
I feel you could have used the weapons found around the map. That's definitely what I did as a low level before I'd unlocked them all. It's also how I found my love of the Arc Thrower (may it rest in peace).
I was sure at some point he'd say, "Hmm... If I can't win eradicate in Helldivers... *He gets up from the chair and you can hear him loading a gun* I'll just have to make my own... Eradicate... I'm going to a real life eradicate mission, kill 600 people in the area..."
Here's a variation of this challenge that could actually be enjoyable. Full team, same loadout as lvl 1 Cadet, gauntlet. Have to complete a full operation from Trivial, all the way to Helldive. Extract isn't necessary but mission complete is. If fail, restart.
Pre video prediction: Orbital Precision Strike is going to be the MVP here. It's just so good at what the rest of your gear sucks at dealing with. 30 minutes in: Ohh yeah, being reminded of why I stopped. 49:45 Yeah, the frags have never been even remotely 'okay' and if they were the starter grenade, I think a lot less people would have stuck around.
Imagine the music in the beginning is sneaky snitch and you just go stealth for the full challenge, the video would be much less entertaining that way but it would have probably been easier
I think these challenges prove something: Without the Incendiary Breaker, players just struggle. Feel like people really gotta get used to more weapons than just the Ol'Reliable.
One time when I was farming SC on trivial, 3 level 1s entered my ship. And I couldn't suppress the urge to throw them into a helldive (on the bug planet because I heard they are easier) to see how they react, fully expecting a wipe and failing to extract. I'm not that good of a player, and I also spend 99% of my time on the bot front, so believe me when I say that TCS mission went WAAAAAY better than I expected. Sure one of them left after 4 deaths, but I carried the rest without dying once. I later realized how good of a spirit they had and a bit undemocratic for me to risk them refunding the game if they thought the game wasn't for them.
Honestly speaking, the precision strike is legitimately viable on high levels if you get timing and aim down. But I do understand why people dont use it
If your super surrounded and there are so many bugs that you know you can't kill them all, go out of bounds and you'll get a free 380 centered on you. If you can survive for long enough to get 2-3 shots off then it can get 20-30% easily.
Thank y'all for watching ❤

Imagine the music in the beginning is sneaky snitch and you just go stealth for the full challenge, the video would be much less entertaining that way but it would have probably been easier
If you can time it, the Bile from the Bile Titan can kill the Charger.
I think these challenges prove something: Without the Incendiary Breaker, players just struggle. Feel like people really gotta get used to more weapons than just the Ol'Reliable.
now make a supercut making i look easy and you have new propagan- i mean motivational materiel for super earths recruitment campain
Do I have to report this to the democracy officer?
@@marshallwingate7176 And they'd think it's a great idea. If one diver can do all of this, imagine what can happen if there's a full team?
But I do understand why people dont use it
Bro, this literally just happened to me because I switched from PS5 to PC
"Enjoy my suffering"
- That's.. why I'm here.
Jokes aside, good content deserving of the fat Like.
Ladies and gentlemen, John Helldiver.
lets be honest, a couple of us totally brought our friend on his first mission with us to helldive.
as someone who use Lvl1 Gear alot this is cool to watch others exp
you: going back to default
me: never stoped
Super earth supplied me with the best gear they saw fit from the start. and i belive in their judgment
If your super surrounded and there are so many bugs that you know you can't kill them all, go out of bounds and you'll get a free 380 centered on you. If you can survive for long enough to get 2-3 shots off then it can get 20-30% easily.
great job.
now do it on difficulty 10 super helldive
I could feel your rage, lol
holy crap, an original helldiver channel video idea (almost all other channels spew the same shit)
