This recipe was amazing !!! I used can sauce because it’s faster but the crust came out so amazing! Way better than the cauliflower! Truly greatful! If anyone is hesitant to try it just do it ! You won’t regret it ! ( I used chickpeas)

I tried this with chickpeas. Soaked them and made the batter as directed however, i didn’t have a cast iron pan so i decided to use a regular pizza plate (with wholes). I lined the pizza plate with baking paper and poured the batter on. Baked for 20 mins then took it out and flipped it around and pealed the paper off. Then back in the oven to bake with bottom side up for another 10 mins. I was so surprised it worked as on your blog you mentioned chickpeas are slightly tricker. Pizza definitely turned out like pizza. Obviously slightly different taste to regular pizza flour base pizza but close enough. I was impressed. Thank you so so much for this recipe. Its going to be one of my go to recipes.

@@boredshrimp9425 No it wasn't , but I didn't wait long for it to get crispy, I only waited till it's cooked so I can put on my toppings. However, I think to guarantee it getting crispy if you'd like, then you better use a large flat baking pan, to make the dough or batter thin, and by that it'll get crispy. I'd recommend to keep a close eye on it so it wouldn't burn. Hope this helps.
I made this at home. The first batch I followed the recipe using soaked chickpeas but added in some Rosemary, Oregano, Ginger, Turmeric, Chilli flakes and Black pepper. It turned out okay but I found it really lacked body and flavour. I made a second batch using different ratios for the spices and added in some Cumin and Cayenne pepper. Instead of using soaked chickpeas and water, I used soft cooked chickpeas, coconut cream and coconut milk. I had to use more liquid for the cooked chickpeas then the soaked chickpeas to get a batter I could work with but the flavor turned out really well, creamy, spicy and fuel of body. I’ve done similar but while the crust was in the oven, I roasted veggies on a sheet pan at the same time. (Well, the crust went longer so it went in first)
