Kuch Ankahi was simply amazing!! A breath of fresh air especially after the Tere Bin debacle. We need more shows as Kuch Ankahi, from the acting, story, locations, and the life lessons; KUCH ANKAHI had everything. I will miss the show.

Kuch Ankahi’s enigmatic charm left my heart yearning for more. The last fifteen minutes were no less than a visual delight and not to take away from last scene where Asfar looks at the ring and closes the box my heart just skipped a beat. Kuch Ankahi is one of those dramas that we will cherish even after it has concluded. It is an amalgamation of excellent storytelling, skillful direction, and impressive acting, that together has been able to establish its own category among the many projects that we see.

Kuch Ankahi was a combination of masterful direction, amazing performances and flawed characters. When I say flawed characters, I do not mean flawed writing, rather characters that show typical, human-like flaws that are so, so rare to find in dramas nowadays. Muhammad Ahmed sahab’s writing was exquisite and the way human emotions have been portrayed in the last episode was outstanding. That scene where Aaliya says that she doesn’t have time to think about love which is why she’s always been so frazzled by the men in her life was so real. Her circumstances didn’t allow her to feel that connection that Asfar and Salman had with her. And the way the writer makes you feel gutted for Asfar at the end, especially that scene where Sheheryar closes the ring box just as Salman and Aaliya get engaged was so heartbreaking and heartwarming. I feel like this drama was actually misunderstood and people just wanted a full fledged love story. It was a love triangle only SECOND to being a social drama. The way social causes and issues have been portrayed was so softly done and well knit. Truly a breath of fresh air among many horrible dramas on air

You are absolutely right, and beauty lies in the flaws of the characters ❤. We are used to watch hero/heroine with no flaw, as like they have to be always right, have to do always right thing, when they do something wrong thats why we start disliking the character. But practically everyone does mistakes, everyone has limitation. This drama presented characters with their limitations. Its the best drama I watched till now❤.

Kuch Ankahi- i dont know if its just me but whenever Alia looked at Salman there was love clearly visible, either being alone several time on the roof or amongst family, salman wanted to hear from her and she wanted to takecare of her responsibilities first . For once it was good to see a strong independent girl incharge of the situation and two equally good looking boys waiting for her.

  • @ishitakhare20
    @ishitakhare20 ปีที่แล้ว +33

I think Kuch Ankahi also showcased the concept of love languages, like how people are different when it comes to communicating their feelings. For Salman the love language was words of affirmation, but for Aliya it could have been acts of service. The portrayal of different types of people existed so beautifully. I agree with Hassan, on Asfar and his characteristic to understand the unsaid could have been a better potential match for someone inexpressible.
I know someone like Aliya, who doesn't say things he feels and have a partner who understands all unsaid things.

    Kuch Ankahi:
The drama was a treat to watch before the resting Sunday!
The name clearly indicated that the story would revolve around emotions that are unsaid, the love that is not clearly confessed in words, the feelings that the heart felt but tongue was unable to convey!
People who wanted a BANG in Kuch Ankahi should read the poetry of Munir Niazi !
کچھ باتیں ان کہی رہنے دو
کچھ باتیں ان سنی رہنے دو
If everything is revealed, every emotion is confessed then what is left behind to cherish?

Kuch Ankahi for me was one of those few pak dramas that was actually relatable. An office going girl, her family bond, lol also little monologues while driving to work about life especially to Allah, a love hate relationship with a person, your family being fond of that said person, a little infatuation with your boss to all the way to property wars in family. You can easily relate to any one of these points if not all. And the relatability was super fresh as an audience for me.
Just like Amna I also saw the ending thrice haha! It was just so wholesome! And the scene where salman puts on the ring and shehryar closes his I mean mind blowing! Wish there was more of the three in the last episode or a bit more of Alia and Salman! But the ending was at a point where the audience craves more and thats how an ending should be of a drama as such! Wish to see more of dramas which show a happy family because mostly happy families are shown in ramzan serials otherwise toh its always tragedy and tragedy! 🤷🏻‍♀️

The makers of 'KA' were so smart to have shown the recap comprising only the scenes of 'Asfar-Aliya' & Salman-Aliya'in the last episode. They knew it very well that the Audiences were eagerly waiting to see who Aliya will eventually end up with😊
Though she was with Salman, but Asfar has been the Winner, all the way😊❤
Song in the end was all good but Asfar should have been shown with his Father & Sister at the end instead of The ring in his hands. He didn't deserve this. And, not to get a girl is not the end of the world. He got his family back, so should have shown Celebrating it, My Personal Thought😊

Kuchh Ankahi: Phopho ran away on the day of wedding because she did it earlier too and for the love of the same man. Thanvi sb supported her both times. So this scene has significance in this way. And with Phopho and Aaliya's character we got to realize that even the strongest people have emotional weaknesses.
Azfar is more mature practical man, he sorted out the things in a more practical way. Salman, on the other hand, is an emotional guy who easily gets insecure, so he was dealing the things in a more emotional way. Aaliya too is more emotional as compared to Azfar, as she kept on getting offended by Salman's questions.
The last scene was beautifully done. Ufff that chemistry that these two have. Both are equally good looking and both act brilliantly. Bilal is one of the fines actors but in romantic scenes he usually appears to be hesitant but Nadeem Baig sb has got the best from him and allI can surely say that he should try more romantic roles. Bilal again proved that he carries the character in the best possible way. Sajal to Sajal hay phir.
Overall Shakeel didn't have many scenes, but he left an impact. So was the case of Thanvi sb. This was the best performance of Mira Sethi till date. And Ali Safina is a very very underrated actor. Kuchh Ankahi gave us so much that we can forgive little bit of flaws.

About Kuch Ankahi - Nadeem baig confirmed with Fuchsia magzien that Alia earn interest 2% it was not loan and as per him and writer they have given enough screentime to Salman-Alia. As per salman and Alia they already in love since starting but Due to circumstance Alia never express her feeling till the end . If it was not Billal- Sajjal we might have not accepted this happy ending but we love Billal- Sajjal both are amazing actors and share adorable chemistry ., I wish to see them in proper romantic drama .

OMG Hasan, So happy that I wasn't the only one who wanted Alya to be with Asfar 😍! I liked the entire arc of Asfar and his transformation. Loved his clarity, straightforwardness, and kindness. He could have forced Alya to be with him but he respected her decision with grace and humility. I dream that in an alternate universe he ends up with Alya and they live happily ever after 😊! And in this lifetime, I hope he finds true love and live a long, happy life. He deserves all of it and more ❤.

Me too, however Asfar had a sense that there was some emotional link between Salman and Aliya, ( remember he had an inkling about it,and had asked Sherish about it in one of the older episodes); and he didn’t want to ruin that, his broken character improved with time by healing and this healing was brought about by Aliya, he even wanted what she had ie such a loving warm family, so how could he not fall for her, she gave him back that which he had lost though childhood trauma ,separation & misunderstanding! I absolutely loved this drama, it didn’t leave one with high anxiety, but enabled us to bask in the warmth of this group of relatable characters!

@@ramezasif7063 I agree. My reason for liking Asfar more was not his money (contrary to popular opinion) but all the other factors. Salman, on the other hand, while he was nice and sweet and all that, was very childish. If someone needs so much push from his mother every so often, that's not a good trait in my opinion. I guess I like people who are independent and know their minds rather than people who are constantly confused and need to be treated like a child. But as you said, it was just a drama 🙂!

Muhammad Ahmed uncle has done a fine job by writing this and typical writers of overdramatic dramas like Tere bin etc. should learn from this and even Yunhi. Mature and progressive writing! Also, I was always team Asfar because Salman always complained and nagged but of course what matters is that where the feeling is mutual. You guys don't understand the simple thing. Aliya was a medicine to Asfar's life. If they get along together, Aliya has to carry the emotional burden of the relationship on her own. Also he was her boss. He only saw her one side. On the other hand, Salman saw her vulnerabilities, her flaws and still love him. Salman is one with whom she can be herself. She don't have to carry the emotional baggage on her. They complement each other more. They understand each other more.
Please try to see the dramas more carefully then review it. Don't just review it for the sake of it. It is an art form. The director should not spoon feed you everything.

KA has my whole heart. The whole episode but particularly the last 5 minutes of song sequence❤❤ I had the biggest smile throughout that part.
And then you have bilal and sajal looking like a million-dollar...ufff just couldn't take my eyes off them. Bilal looked dapper in black and sajal looked drop dead gorgeous and their chemistry was cherry on top.
This was one of the best last episodes I've ever seen and a well knitted finale.
    1. Loved how maturily asfar handled the situation...and all three of them behaved sensibly. I liked how they showed both boys saying it loud that they love her but there's no scene where aliya said that she loved salman, it was there in her eyes but unsaid and that's what I like about it...the sublteness. Obviously, it's KA for you.
    2. Love the conversation between sofia phuppo and thanvi at the station. Thanvi uncle's character is one my favorites and I'm gonna miss his Bgm, that yodley yodley. The dhol scene was wholesome.
    * Humayun saeed's cameo was totally unexpected but it was cute😅
    3. It's good that samiya and saif are back together but their relationship would take time to get better.
    4. And now coming to my favorite part, the last 5 minutes of the episode. I mean, could it be even more better!!!?? Those 5 minutes were like watching a movie song with perfect execution, great chemistry of leads and happy faces in a family wedding. It simply couldn't get any better. I just loveddd it. The cute antics of Salman, the way aliya was teasing him and the way he was running behind her, the whole family in background and the aesthetics, the decor and DILDAR DILDARA DILDARA😍...everything was top-notch.
KA is a product of great teamwork...direction, writing, performances, OSTs. Everything was perfect.
Nadeem baig deserves a lot of credit, he's indeed a great director. Mohammad ahmad sahab's writing was beautiful, progressive and thought-provoking, he should definitely write more scripts. And the performances were outstanding, everyone performed their part so well.
Undeniably one of the best pakistani dramas in recent times. KA brought the same old charm that pakistani dramas are known for.
I'm definitely going to miss it.
A special shout out to Azaan sami khan for giving us Dildara, the ost is also amazing but Dildara has a separate place in my heart.

I don't think Salman was confised about Aaliya. He very confidently tells Asfar that he and Aaliya love each other and Asfar could try his luck but nothing will come out it. His only problem was why Aaliya was acting all confused when she loves him too. And when later Salman says ye ring aaj hi pehnani hai, she says haan pehna do. Asfar and Aliya were a better match!.... Salman was good with the family but when it came to Aliya he always used to question and doubt her actions.
Asfar truly fell for Aliya the moment he became sure that Aliya doesn't feel the same for him and loves somebody else he was ready to let her go instead of imposing his own feeling on her he respected her feelings. He understood her so well.
This how to truly love and respect a person by not imposing ur own feeling on him or her. Letting go of the one u love is hard.
The Last Scene where Asfar is standing alone with the ring made me sad, he changed for better for her. He deserved her. They should have shown him happy with his father and sister in the end maybe that way it could have been less sad.

1:02:30 as Hassan spoke my mind, the last song sequence and the closures we got for all characters of that house made me forgive everything. I was exceptionally happy that Samiya asked for time to mentally prepare herself instead of returning to Saif just for the heck of it. Shakeel and Tanya were So SO cute, loved their matching outfits too. And finally Aaliya did "say" what she wanted.
But now for the elephant in the room, everything can be forgiven except Salman's super judgmental opinion of Asfar that people like him can never be in love. That's really problematic!!!
And why did Salman claim that he knows Aaliya more than anyone else? They were neither cousins nor childhood friends. And their rooftop conversations may look like heart-to-heart talks but all I saw was Salman being super persuasive and Aaliya delivering riddles and punchlines. The AaLman relationship has all chances of getting super toxic if Aaliya doesn't improve her communication skills soon.
For me it's a forced happy end for them, for everyone else's story it has been an awesome journey!!!!

@niharikamishra, I completely Agree with your thoughts about salman Aliya's Equation. It was a forced & in every way a predictable end to their story. We knew the makers will show them together.
Also, to show zafar all alone in the end was very wrong.

Very good analysis. Salman,s character was annoying from the beginning, the way he used to fight with Aliya like kids, and then suddenly fell in love but without trust. Super annoying when he kept questioning Aliya about Asfar. The way he always talked negatively about Asfar. Overall not a likable personality. Yet she chooses him for the sake of that so called love that she herself was not sure about til last moment Lol. With this type of poor judgement I guess, she deserved salman lol. Asfar deserves someone better than Aliya 😉

@@azdm6338 Very true, Salman's character was very salty in the way he treated Aalyia. His mother had an earfull of his constant maligning of her name. In the last episode he thought she could be bought by her boss. What a loser? The force relationship...is annoying to me. Aalyia always spoke to him negatively also, because she didn't like his jealous attitute. She got him that job because she knew he was envious of her sucess. I wonder if the actor playing Salman was a lesser known actor would people think he was so great. Would the ending be the same?

Anyone who looks into her eyes can tell she is in love with Salman and that's how Asfar also found out. Salman also never said he is in love with her either. Neither of them had any love confession but everyone around them knew they are in love. The drama's name is kuch ankahi for a reason.

Kuchh ankahi -- bas kya kahein? What a masterpiece.. At the onset, these are the kind of dramas , Pakistan tv industry was known for. Watching kuchh ankahi was like watching a poetic ballad on screen. Salaam from across borders to Mohammed sahab and Nadeem baig sahab to create this piece of art. All the characters were so well etched out. Impeccable casting... The dialogue" Mera suitcase chori ho Gaya hai, usmein meri bohot saari yaadein thee " " hum Naya suitcase le lenge aur use nayi yaadon se bhar denge " gave me goosebumps . It will stay with me forever . I'm amazed at this writing , only writers in Pakistan can create this magic. Hope to get to see more of this kind of art

The beauty of this drama lies in the flaws of the characters ❤.

He’s trying to find a balance with his loved ones and his career and I respect that. This is a fickle career and a fickle world. Same actor who was working his butt off and still get sidelined in projects like ehdewafa and fitoor and now he’s everyone’s favorite topic to discuss. He didn’t not own the movie he did show up and interacted with his fans. Credit where credit is due you can’t say the man is NOT grounded. Upwards and onwards for him, inshallah

Dramas I don't Liked the first episode of (or was not able to Hook me)
    1. Tumhare Husn Ke Naam (but I think it will grabs more attention after 3-4 episodes)
    2. College Gate (I won't say I have grown old for it because I love teen dramas but this was not able to Hook me)
    3. Wonderland (story of a aspiring director, it was just not for me)
Must try if you have some extra time (rank wise given)
    1. 101 Talaqian
    2. Shanaas
    3. Honeymoon

Other than that, there is nothing extraordinary about the guy. What did salman even do to deserve Aliyah except the fact that he met her earlier than Azfar. Given the chance, Azfar would have adjusted well with her family and developed a comfort level with Aliyah. They didn't get to meet daily on the terrace. Its like he was rejected simply because of prejudice for being rich.

And Salman understands her too thats why he told Azfar with such a confidence that Aliya loves him. I love it when he told this to Azfar thats when Azfar said ok agar yak tarfa howi tu main jeeta. In that scene Salman was not scared at all bcoz he knew aliya is interested in him. In the last episode she did say she didnt had time to think about herself as she was busy trying to save her house and run the family.
