The writing of kuch ankahi is very sharp and smart. They brings real problems of society. Also they sum up story of all characters in two three episodes. Like samya, deepak, meena chapters all most over now. Now they are focusing on Bilal, sajal and shriyars story.

Sajal Aly is an Asset to Pakistan industry. I wish she was here in India. She is soo versatile. I started watching her dramas from past 2 years. And this girl is so amazing. I mean these words are understatement for her. She is another level. Give her comic role she'll ace it✅. Serious character nailed✅
    Simple girl like Aaliya.
She can literally do any given and the fact that all her characters it feels like she lives each of them.

Kuch ankahi is like a comforting book you pick up with your tea.. When you want Nothing too drastic, nothing too flashy but a familiar mellow slice of life book you want to enjoy with your pretty tea in a pretty tea cup on a slow afternoon.. Yunhi is for when you are a little bored and want something to perk you up as the drama has a very positive vibes with cute scenes n all.. N then Tere Bin.. When you are in the mood of hard core romance, with breathless conversations and heart stopping moments.. For which you take time out especially to watch without being disturbed and then maybe an hour or two after to come down from the romantic high.. I don't watch ramadan dramas in ramadan.. So no opinions on that

@@Xcvbgifjyi I’d argue this is more age appropriate for Ayeza. She’s playing a full fledged gynaecologist which it takes a lot of time to become. They’ve obviously shown a shaadi track as well because our viewers love to see that lol, but now that they’re showing their post marital issues as a mature couple, I’d say the role suits her quite well. You can see how the character is maturing with each episode

    • @Xcvbgifjyi
      @Xcvbgifjyi ปีที่แล้ว +9

@@mahadfraaz218 apart from age it’s also how Ayeza has failed to nail the delicacies of being a doctor you can’t be a gynaecologist with such long nails. Also all doctors have really insane working hours which affects their marriage life the drama doesn’t shed a light on that. That’s one of the reasons doctors prefer to marry doctors as they understand the profession here post marriage Ayeza’s character doesn’t seem too interested in being a doctor. Also the blatant misuse of an ambulance and the constant disrespect towards her mother are just not that great to watch. Her mom raises some very good points the over glorification of joint family culture is also a hard pill to swallow as it’s an unislamic concept all the females are roaming around nemehrams without a pardah also the way kids and adults barge into a married couple’s room without knocking is also very disgusting

I watched Pinjra with a lot of interest till it got dragged, and then watched the finale. I heard the writer Asma Nabeel passed away while writing; May Allah grant her the highest place in jannah. Ameen. The later episodes were written by someone else, maybe that was the reason for the dip. Thank you, Asma, for writing on such a sensitive, pertinent subject of teenage upbringing. Great effort and performance by the cast , both young and old.

Married couples having chemistry on screen is pretty rare. From the recent examples, Urwa-Farhan didn't click in both Meri Shehzadi and Tich Button, Hiba Arez too didn't click in the latest rom com that they did. Very few showbiz couples make it far and from the ones that do how many are A listers and clicking like this? Which is why im pleasantly surprised seeing the case in Chand Tara.

I think the reason why everyone is gravitating towards wahaj and yumna's chemistry is because to me personally, it reminds me of pride and prejudice, slow burn and passionate level of attraction, you can practically feel what they're feeling with their characters, You can feel the passion and the tension between them which keeps you hooked (i'd even call it sexual chemistry). Also, credit goes to the characters of murtasim and meerab as well because they're written in such an angsty way and then you have wahaj and yumna who portray it and bring the characters to a new level. It's also a bit wattpad inspired, those trashy romance novels i used to read when i was younger and the intense chemistry between the leads. This type of chemistry is usually there in western shows, not in pakistani television and it's not like they're getting all physical either, they're bringing us that chemistry while keeping the pemra limitations, Lol! They highly remind me of Kate and Anthony from Bridgerton Season 2 for some reason (And they had some of the best chemistry ever).
Edit - Pride and prejudice not in terms of story or characters, rather the chemistry!!

Hands down the best drama these days Sajal's and Bilal's chemistry dude the soft flirt everything. Also please please just give some detailed discussion of these moments like please!
CT- It's going good too Sarim is the best husband ever written these days, Danish and Ayeza instead of being parents idk how have pulled off such sparking chemistry, side tracks are enjoyable as well except Dollar scenes, Saima ji has always written nice kids but this it seems like they just wanted to fit a kid anyhow.
Pinjra - An excellent start which got so dragged for 12 13 episodes unecessarily, this court scene could have been done earlier and some episodes on therapy, upbringing could have been shown but since this was the 1st time for a drama like this we have to give credits a great topic, the crying scene between Abaan and dad was too too good to ge true.

I honestly think Kuch Ankahi is brilliant. Feels like you are reading a book yet you’re watching a drama. Beautiful story writing and beautiful acting. The way it has been directed, if it was shown to be from a time in the 80s and early 90s, it would have been even more fun. The only thing that does not add up is samia’s character. Mira sethi has acted so well, but the way it has been written is so senseless at least to me. It is understandable that she married into that family to please her mother and even knowing about his girlfriend and still marrying isn’t so surprising either.. but not being effected by it AT ALL is so unrealistic. How is she so cool and calm about it after moving there? How is she not sad? Upset? Restless? Worried? How come the couple haven’t had a conversation about it ? How is she so okay with her mil’s demands? She did say no but so matter of factly? The way she reacted when her sister came over was weird too. Again, asking the sister to not tell anyone about it makes sense but saying it in a way that makes you think how is she not feeling strongly about this situation? A new bride in a new home being asked to adjust all of them in her father’s house. Dealing with husbands girlfriend situation, listening to her mil‘a rude comments and still not getting upset when she is by herself in her room? A least they should have shown that she is putting up a brave front but all this does effect her. Am I making sense? Would like you guys to discuss this in your next review. Thank you

Samiya entered into that marriage knowing everything and prepared to face anything. So what exactly is there for her to feel bad about. She isn't in love with saif and his mother is her aunt so she is well aware of her greedy nature. She is always shown to be a calm person. She is not a bechari at all. She is just calm. She don't scream or raise her voice to get her point out. She is very firm with not taking a penny from her father and she made the point clear to both saif and his mother.

Kuch Ankahi is an interesting drama with super stellar cast with exceptional performances. I love the pure Urdu conservations and small fights between Shamo begum and Agha Jan. I'm just impressed by Asfar (Sheheryar), despite being an antagonist I love him, his attire, confidence, viciousness defines his persona for that character totally agree with Hassan styling really impacts a lot. Sajal is an extremely talented actor her scenes are so realistic and flawless as Amna said when Aliya went upstairs to call Salman her eyes were teary love the chemistry between them♥️.

Kuch Ankahi: I totally agree with aamna, i thoroughly enjoyed this episode of Kuch Ankahi.....I hope it continues like that. Kuch Ankahi is well written, very believable, very current, well performed and very well directed. The fact that all characters r so realistic and grey, ftom the dad, to phupo, to aliya, to salman, to asfar, to Ali safina's character etc....its like a breath of fresh air.
Chand Tara: yes ayeza and danish's chemistry is so believable and lovely....wish we could see more proximity like this between the leads and I agree chemistry is very important between the leads for a love angle to work in a drama. Bilal and sajal have always been a delight together on screen since O Rangreza.😍😍😍..sajal will gel with sheheryar too as they were blazing in one of their old photoshoots. Ayeza and Danish again both good performers and have a very genuine chemistry onscreen, a rarity for real life married couples. Same Tere Bin's USP is wahaj and Yumna's crackling chemistry, their vibe was so very evident in Dil na umeed to nahin as well 😍😍😍

FT: I enjoyed this week's review; it was much more balanced. I agree the character of Umeed could have been annoying had there been a lapse in performance, but kudos to Sehar Khan for performing it so brilliantly with such nuances in her expressions. I am loving the back and forth between Umeed and Farjaad and am looking forward to the moment when they confess their love (would love to see their dynamics then). The dream sequence was just a teaser for the fans, which has just heightened our excitement for the real confession.

And ofcourse salman and aliya...yar bilal and Sajal's chemistry is so good and seems natural. Idk for some reason I love the scene when salman was cutting his nails and looking at aliya from the balcony and an old song in the background...it was beautiful.
Also, I feel shehryar and sajal have a good chemistry though. Enjoying their track too.

As much as people love Yumna and Wahaj, I unfortunately don’t see it between them. Very cringe they are. Sajal and Bilal have that old-school charm with that pure, unadulterated chemistry! 😍

Pyar ke Sadquay was on the next level of storyline and acting of mixed comedy and a really serious subject! Yunma was pretty good with Wahaj in Dil na umeed to nahi, very believable and real invoking her and his pain when they find each other after being separated since childhood! For eg when chachi in the first episode say we won't need gynae Dr now but how naturally she ends up finding herself in need of one 😂. Saarim reaction to see tutor around his sis is so natural too. Conflict of opinions between couples and other characters all written and all genuine. Nothing is too hard on nerves until now. However, giving all great messages in every episode on a lighter note. And each and every character is well performed and great casting. Well Done to the whole team 👏 👍
