    You two always talk about the chemistry of lead roles while reviewing the performances. Let me take the pleasure of talking about the chemistry between you two. The ease & comfort of Hassan's body language today while this particular review is super cute. I can say this after seeing him with Zainab. Despite the fact that Zainab did a fabulous job, YOU TWO ROCK TOGETHER. Love the energy, enthusiasm & respect between the both of you. Something Haute is making history & has managed to enhance the horizon for this particular genre of journalism. Bravo to both of you !!!

      @ Flyaway. Very well understood the writer's point of view. When Meerub first came to know about Maryam's love she said in an aside, 'pagdaar ki behn Karen gi tou sub karenge. Yeh soch hi tou badalni hai' She is a social justice warrior in her own mind. Explains everything! Even her dancing with the troupe. Her support of Naila. She told Murtasim in the beginning she would never become a part of his system. Now after his confession we know Murtasim is also not part of the system at heart. No wonder he adores Meerub. They are two of a kind! Reviewers don't pay attention to these dialogues.

  • @FlyAway4955
    @FlyAway4955 ปีที่แล้ว +303

    So this maybe an unpopular opinion but Meerab helping Maryam elope made me understand her character better! I wrote a whole essay about Meerab that I wanted to share 😂 My interpretation of Meerab’s character is the only way I can make her actions make sense in my head.
    1. Meerab is a social justice warrior. She wants to fight against oppression no matter what the cost.
    2. When she thinks someone is being oppressed she ends up thinking with her heart not her brain. She wants to help people who she thinks are being oppressed no matter what the cost.
    3. From episode 1, we have established that Meerab is very impulsive. When she was trying to help her maid she could have easily gone to the police station with Waqas and filed a case against her maid’s husband yet she chose to go and make a scene in front of all the people in the market while trying to defend her maid.
    4. She did not need to marry Murtasim after her adoptive parents closed the door on her. She could have rebelled by never agreeing to marry Murtasim no matter what. She essentially did what her biological father and Maa Begum wanted her to do. She agreed to marry Murtasim because she wanted revenge from the Khan family and her adoptive parents. That’s why she told Murtasim about the contract on the wedding day because she thought he would never agree to it and that him and his family would get embarrassed and insulted when the wedding gets called off.
    5. She has a socially liberal mindset. This is why she has a soft spot for Rohail and Anas because in her eyes they are also socially liberal people. She thinks both of those men are socially liberal which is the quality she desires in her life partner. I think Meerab also wanted a love marriage with someone who shared the same socially liberal beliefs and wanted to fight against oppression like her that’s why she resents her arranged marriage with Murtasim. Murtasim was not her ideal life partner.
    6. Murtasim is from a conservative household and he himself is conservative as well. That’s why Meerab is having a difficult time accepting him because once she accepts him she becomes part of the oppressive system she always fought against and she will have to let go of the “ideal” life partner she had in her mind. I think that’s why she came so close to her love confession after she saw Murtasim giving money to the woman with the two kids. Because she saw with her own eyes that he truly cares about people and wants to help them regardless of him being a feudal lord.
    7. Of course she helped Maryam because she cares about Maryam’s happiness. But she also wanted to satisfy a part of her own ego by helping Maryam. If Maryam had succeeded in marrying someone outside of the family Meerab would have been the cause for a great progressive change in the Khan family. Meerab wanted to bring a progressive change so badly that she unintentionally ignored all the red flags of Anas. She did not even think about asking Anas’ neighbors questions about Anas and his fake mother in order to investigate more about them.
    Basically, what I’m trying to say is Meerab is immature, impulsive, egotistic, idealistic, and manipulative. Despite her all of her flaws she wants social justice which is a good thing but she lacks the ability to bring social change in a logical way. When she wants to stand against oppression she becomes blinded by her emotions and cannot differentiate right from wrong. It took me 42 episodes to finally understand her. 😂

    I understand her from day 1. She is naive who wants to be fight fir a social cause. That is intrinsic to her personality. About her ego, someone who is kind cant be egoistic at the sane time. She has pride abd self respect, but cheated by her own family has bruised her image and esteem. Murtasim definitely isn't her type but she realized later that he is so much like her own self. He has that power with which he can help people, he is someone who also had to compromise a lot. Meerub is definitely at fault here but she deserves a chance. She is not evil, i will repeat she is naive. She had to go through this so she can learn how to walk in the real world. Murtasim by her side she would have been protected all her life, but she will learn there are bad people like haya too in this world, i remember her being pitiful towards haya as well. Murtasim will have to reinstate her in the family, she married him so that usey yaha waha khwar na hona pare... And it was such a blow to her self respect to surrender like that. Murtasim is great but meerub has her own place. Thats why the guy gave her ample time to come out of her trauma. Thats why she couldn't easily fall in love because she had all her guards up. She really deserves more dialogue considering so few people understood her, they don't have to agree with her but can understand from where she's coming. It will be glorious if she can become lawyer and win the legal battle against mz.

    This is the second time when Meerab is not protected by her real father and she kicked from the house abviously she will b rude with everyone now we can understand meerab's misery of life, but murtasim did right with her. Towards maryem she did wrong by helping her but her intention was good she want to see her happy and she is now suffering but Heya can save the maryams life knowing everything abt malik, a big culprit she is enjoying in same house still

    • @MAbd-pt8dv
      @MAbd-pt8dv ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that was heartbreaking to see that Anwar, her biological father, didn't ask her to stay with him. Her foster parents have given her responsibility back to her biological father. Therefore, no matter what she did, he shouldn't have abandoned her and should have brought her home, even though his partition is on the top level of the same house. But she stayed there earlier, too, when she was upset with Murtasim.

    Ok So I've completely stopped torturing myself by watching MPHT but saw a small clip where neelo was confronting maheer...and that clip made me to watch the whole sequence. The whole sequence was the best part of the show till date.😌 Thank god neelo said everything that viewers have been feeling all this long. She was absolutely right about maheer. Rabia performed that scene very well and as much as I liked rabia's performance, I thought hania's performance was so weak, whenever she is in this kinda situation she just starts blinking her eyes... and it becomes really irritating to watch. Maheer is a poorly written character but hania's performance made it even worse. I feel really bad for wahaj after giving back to back critically and commercially hit dramas for last few years MPHT is only chand pe dagh of his career. With extremely bad writing, poor direction and weak performances of other 2 lead characters, Wahaj was the only saving grace but unfortunately he couldn't save it.

    • @sabahatmazhar6056
      @sabahatmazhar6056 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Completely agree…I never thought of Hania as a good actor…she’s average at best, but in this drama, her acting is pretty atrocious…still we have some defending her saying she wasn’t given much to work with…despite a badly written character, good acting would have made the character more bearable and relatable…

      Maryam is locked in her room, and is being married off the very next day. So there was no way of shunning her out in similar manner to Meerub, but she IS being punished.

    • @harshitashukla9874
      @harshitashukla9874 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because Meerab never wanted to stay in this house and never wanted to follow any rule of this house. Meerab know she did a mistake that can destroy Maryam life and break the trust of murtasim .So she gets what she always wanted. Her freedom

  • @sm_stan1419
    @sm_stan1419 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Meerab didn't trust anas over murtasim.....she just thought that murtasim had misunderstanding regarding adress and he went to wrong place ......and she shared this thought with murtasim also but murtasim tell that he didn't care now if he went to wrong adress now he will not gonna give anas a chance.....thats it

    • @SKumar-os2ne
      @SKumar-os2ne ปีที่แล้ว

      But Murtasim also told her that he checked and went to the address Anas had sent. She kept insisting still. And she at the end when she went to Anas' house did believe him when he said Murtasim had no intentions of agreeing to the marriage because of their social status.

    • @sm_stan1419
      @sm_stan1419 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SKumar-os2ne you are missing the whole conversation between them just before the murtasim's chahat talk.....Meerab told murtasim that murtasim had gotten a wrong adress maybe as she herself visited the house and that was anas house not a kotha.....in which murtasim said that now it doesn't matter as to him anas matter was closed and he don't want to discuss about it anymore

    These scripts have made even a person like Amna say that Maheer deserves to be ill treated by areeb’s mother for her to come to her senses. And I second that. But this also shows what the drama makers are trying to do with these pathetic female characters. They want to show women to be so dumb so stupid so selfish and mean that in the end people say that anything bad happening to them is justifiable. They are leading a society that already hates women into hating them more and giving them reasons that all women are bad and anything bad happening to them is result of these bad choices
