I just KNEW the topic of today's review will be the weird night from tere bin. 🤣 I believe that Merub wouldn't have acted this dramatic if she had not been slapped. That slap and her parents abandoning her, made her bitter. At this point she has NO interest in Murtasim or family. If we put our selves in her place, she has been abandoned, embarrased and imprisoned. All her actions are justified. Haya on the otherhand is a comical character. She cries, everyone laughs. She laughs, everyone gets bored.

Another slap is coming Meerab's way. I don't know what she's gonna do after that😂 but i find her so annoying sometimes like WHY did she marry Murtasim when he was standing right behind her in her support. The elders did whatever happened to her then why is she humiliating Murtasim like this? Banda sari raat khwar ho k aya hospital se then she doesn't let him sleep on his bed andddd on top of that asks him about his whereabouts because she is his "wife". Wowwwwww😂
Konsa din ho ga Meerab ki azadi ka? She wants to go live in a Dar-ul-Aman? Like what?

Meerub’s reaction is understandable. However, Yumna’s acting chops need refinement for a genre like this and this coming from an ardent fan of hers is a surprise for me as well. The protagonist is in the right and thus they should make us root for her rather than hating on her for becoming irritating.
As much an angry young man as Murtasim is, his patience towards her is ❤.
Wahaj’s acting is measured, balanced and gives you the feels. That brief moment when Meerub looks at him at the wedding scene, his reaction-that’s what brilliant acting is. Vicariously making the viewer feel all that. Fantastic!
Some big drama upcoming but would love Meerub pursuing her studies and Murtasim supporting her. Slow burn romance and I’m all for it.

TB: About the wedding night, it was a first of its kind. It was strange and amusing to see Maa Begum standing there, directing Murtasim what to do. It was such a cringefest. Throughout that scene, I was laughing and thinking how roastable it was. Also, given how ridiculous & ott that scene was, I imagined for a split second that she would soon ask Meerab to bring Murtasim a glass of milk. Shukar hai, she didn't. 😂🤣

This might be an underrated opinion but I completely understand Meerab’s actions and do NOT hate her or am annoyed by her. I have no clue why everyone’s hating on her character. She just underwent trauma few days or a week ago (in the show) and people expect her to be completely fine all of a sudden. I’m sure most of y’all would be in a dilemma for weeks if you knew the people who raised you for 21 years, aren’t your actual parents. Cut her some slack guys 😭💀

#PyariMona - I wish you guys have talked a little bit more about that obnoxious scene where her brother in law is inside her bedroom to look for the key. Wasn't that absolutely weird? Why didn't he ask his wife, Mona's sister to check out Mona's room for the key? 28 years old Mona is asleep and brother in law just hanging out around her stuff without her sister. Not only in Pakistani society but in every other society this would be considered inappropriate and might be a segway into showing the kind of creep he is and has wrong intentions.

@@tasneemshaikh7163 that's the whole point of knocking, if people don't ask you to come in after your knock then you need to go and if it is urgent then ask your wife, a woman, her sister to check. This was my favourite episode of Kuch Ankahi so far, and I feel like the subtle introduction of each track is needed. I must say, this episode belonged to Vaneeza, Mira and Ali. And I think it was really necessary to show that whole track of Shagufta because it really shows how submissive and almost lame Ali's character is. They wanted to show how nikamma his character is and just goes in any direction his pulled into. He can't speak up for himself and is being willingly used because he really lacks a backbone. Maybe we missed Bilal and Sajal, but it was still a solid intro to help you understand even better why Samiya shouldn't marry him. Sofia's interaction with her nieces is also really realistic and the subtle fight between Irsa Ji's character and Vaneeza's was very well executed. It's just a light-hearted story full of realsim that we lack in today's dramas.
Pinjra is finally starting to pick up the pace and I hope it doesn't drag any longer. It's very well written but the past few episodes lacked in direction. Hadiqa Kiani has aced her character, and Sunita Marshall fits her role perfectly as well. Hats off to all the kids and their impeccable acting at such a young age. I hope we see some good court scenes, but from what we've seen so far, I think they may be lacking.
Tere bin: Definetely a Siraj-ul-Haq drama and his oh-so dreamy sequences full of OTT acting. Yumna needs to brush up her ugly wardrobe and needs to take some notes from Wahaj's styling. It's OTT so if you're in the kind of mood to watch something dramatic it works, but usually it's just a bit much. I was hysterical in that scene where Sabina's character cuts her wrist in the middle of the night simply because of how dramatically it was shot (not making fun of the suicidal aspect which is serious, rather the execution). How they open the scene with her arms to her sides and a bunch of bangles falling on the floor was a bit much. Gave me 90s Bollywood vibes which should be left in the 90s to be honest. Her acting was good, but just too dramatic for my taste.

Tere Bin - I’m finding it so entertaining & enjoyable. I loved Wahaj’s outfit - I think it was v royal & he looked like a prince. I’m loving Wahaj & Yumna’s chemistry + the dynamic of their characters. Wahaj’s performance is absolutely brilliant in it + Yumna was excellent in certain scenes but did find her OTT in the scenes regarding the bed situation. Not interested in Haya at tall. Looking forward to see how the story unfolds now they’re married - my favourite drama at the moment.
Kuch Ankahi: I was watching just for Bilal Abbas & Sheheryar Munawar. But there was hardly any scenes of Bilal in this ep & Sheheryar hasn’t been in it since ep 2 - his character actually intreged me the most! I’ll start watching it again when his character becomes a lot more prominent in the drama. Unpopular opinion - Kuch Ankahi may be a light-hearted enjoyable watch but it doesn’t hook me & the overall story isn’t really anything different & refreshing.

Kuch ankahi: It's breaking some serious stereotypes..not one but many. In particular, the office engagement scene when the girl announces she and the boy are engaged, in a relationship! I've never seen this forward-thinking approach in dramas where it's usually shown the 'traditional way' is the only right way. Also, they portray the phuppu as non- toxic & empowered, not at odds with the household females. Vaneeza is a firecracker. Also, the lady who plays Saifur Rahman's love interest...she has some pretty solid lines. I like the power dyanamics . Muhammad Ahmad sahab writes side characters which play pivotal roles to move the story forward & he does a great job.. these are not vacuous, forgettable characters. This is a delightful slowburner.

    1) We need more dramas like Kuch Ankahi, where men wash the dishes, and daughters go outside and work a daily person's job. Dramas that normalize having friends from the opposite gender, older people falling in love, where we see people from other religions and we get to look at the actual Pakistan, a country that's diverse and where every person has to either earn a living or save up for their family's future. (oh and most importantly a drama where the leads are not cousins 😅)
    2) Wahaj and Yumna have so much chemistry together, I would arguably say more than Hania and Wahaj. Tere Bin is entertaining and fun plus we get two episodes per week so in this case the audiences are definitely more invested in Meerab and Murtasim.

Kucch Ankahi - Drama's format is that it is introducing new character in every episode and most probably these characters will keep getting eliminated gradually.
I loved Phopho and Aaliya's whole scene where phopho is talking about supporting Samiya's decision. Why don't we extend our support to the girls after their wedding. It's just a decision like many other decisions, so it's okay if this decision turns out to be a bad one. Family should keep supporting rather than imposing something that they feel is right.
To your comment about ali Safina's mother greed. It's because Aagha sb has daughters and his property is going to be shifted to the daughter so that's what Samiya's MIL is thinking.
Overall drama is very interesting and hats off to producers for showing joyland portrait and hindu culture in domestic helper's home despite that such things decrease viewership :) A very enjoyable drama.

Tere bin: Murtesim, as a groom, looked very royal, stately, princely, except I thought exactly as Amna that he should have worn khusas, (I hate white shoes). Yumna’s stylist, on the other hand, should be sacked. Looked even worse on Walima. Comparatively, Maheer’s wedding jewellery and outfit , although shown as a middle class girl, looked much more expensive and tasteful than Meerab’s, who is supposed to be from the super rich elite class. Such sloppiness in a larger than life, totally commercial drama is inexcusable.
Maheer and Meerab are testing extreme patience of Saad and Murtasim, and Wahaj with his emotional expressions is ruling the hearts as well as both dramas.

Lots of things spoken in Kuch unkahi is actually relevant. These are references from some stories that women share on soul sisters Pakistan. The example is of having a separate bathroom that the MIL mentioned is actually a problem that lots of girls have shared. The problem is that parents when getting their daughters married DO NOT look into the details as of where and how their daughters will be staying and what will be their responsibilities. And so, this is not looked into by Samia's parent .

I used to like Pak dramas because they were simple and realistic. Characters would connect to me because they look just like me a common person. Simple dressing, simple living, no over make up n jewellery. But seeing how TB is made with the same typical story, scenes and characters (almost similar) it feels like Pak dramas are slowly being changed to Indian dramas. Since it's getting high ratings as well it seems like audience in Pak is also liking this show so there is no going back and this kind of dramas will keep coming in maybe in more numbers but thanks to shows like kuch ankahi, yunhi ,sar e rah and aik thi Laila that this content is balanced. Was hoping good from meri shehzadi as well cause it was inspired from lady Diana's life and as hassan and aamna said the premise looked good so gave it a try and still holding on but it's not written and executed properly. Hope that good dramas are made but in a better way.

It’s interesting that whenever our digest writers write a spunky woman character they show her to be not so smart. Meerub’s character is right out of the digests my mom used to read in the 90s and frankly it reminds me of those digest stories. Spunky independent girl who is not smart and needs the hero to help her figure things out. It’s a different kind of bechari. Meerub should have asked to complete her law degree in that contract not about consummating the marriage! It would have been much more believable and relatable than this OTT move. Spunky smart girl done right is Aaliya from kuch Ankahi. She knows what she wants and doesn’t stoop to stupidity to get it. She is intelligent like many women of today. I can relate to an Aliya any day vs a not-so-smart yet spunky Meerub

Tere Bin and it's characters (in some cases even the casting), it's world and it's scenes are an unimaginative mishmash of Malaal e Yaar, Dil Lagi, Is pyar ko kya naam doon, Dil Awaiz, Suno Chanda. If you've seen any of these you will know what's going to happen. Only the pacing and star power of the leads is making this tolerable. They have nothing new to offer. Haya (the actor playing it) has done the exact same role in Dil Awaiz. I think since SH hasn't seen older popular dramas, they are unable to draw parallels. Better to go rewatch the originals.
Looks like at some point Murtasim will have to be grievously injured for the heroine to realize/ profess her love (aka Dil Lagi). *facepalm*
