If you cannot move the valve then undo the bolts by 2/3 turns then start the engine with electrical plug connected. The pressure will free up the fitting.Only undo the bolts a couple of turns and make sure the engine is warm

Update: My EGR was faulty. I took plastic cover off ontop of egr and got someone to rev the lever was not moving. I replaced with used part and now fine. I Still had black smoke but that was a split at bottom intercooler pipe.
@@eduardopinheiro644 I have a mercedes e220 cdi from 2004 automatic box the car loses strength and sometimes in low rotation to climb fails a little but on motorway the speed 120 tá normal just makes a little black smoke

I removed the EGR valve and cleaned it. When I put it back. It did not work any suggestions, when I removed it and then worked again.
Check the connections,if ok ,then could be intermittent fault on the EGR

not always you can save your egr, it may need a new one.
remove it forever with the dpf and disable with ecu

black smoke pode ser injectores, uma fault comum, mas tem que ser investigado primeiro

Well, that's happen, the cleaning is a preventive way to prolong the life of the egr, but sometimes is too late.
U mean it has to be changed? But then how to remove it? Bumping it with a hammer?
Try a few taps with a rubber hammer, don't hit the plastic housing on the egr. Try it to see if helps
