Hello, I watch you with curiosity and love. I previously commented on your video under the name Miyahura. I see you as a source of inspiration, I watch you with excitement and curiosity. I would like to make a request from you, my esteemed elder. I have a vehicle belonging to the Astra h 2004 1.4 Z14XEP engine code. I will replace the timing chain set, water circulation pump and cylinder head gasket in my vehicle. I would be very happy if you share the required Torque and Angle values with me. Take care of yourself very well.
Hi, at the moment I only have the autodata online, but I need the reg to get access to the data for the car, if you want provide the reg I will send you pictures of all torques that I have for that car. It's the only way, email me on e.p.motors.mobile@gmail.com if you want
@@HOWTODIYwithEddy Hello, I have contacted you via e-mail, thank you very much for your help in advance.
@@HOWTODIYwithEddy By the way, you asked for the data information of my vehicle, where can I access this information? The information I know is as follows. Opel Astra H 2004 1.4 Z14XEP engine code. How can I get more detailed information? Also, aren't all Z14XEP engines the same or does each Z14XEP engine have different data?
when I attach the new sprocket I rely on the chain and its tension to keep the alignment from changing
There is a tool to lock the sprockets in place so you can torque it
@@HOWTODIYwithEddy my thought is that the sprockets just fit and can spin freely before tightening, if the sprocket is not seated as it was before it was removed, will it change the alignment of the motor
@martinito7522 yes as long the engine is lock (camshafts)
how is it possible to remove it so easily
If stuck, a few taps with rubber hammer and should come off
I have a car with engine code Opel Astra H 2004 Z14XEP. As I watch you, my self-confidence increases. I love solving many problems with my vehicle myself. I wish I were as talented and knowledgeable as you. I am in love with what you do...
Thank you 😊, if you love mechanics, you will acquire knowledge very easily.
Hey , nice car i love it . Also nice work❤ Can i ask where you have bought the whole front? The bumper and the grill
Hi, it was in one scrap yard
@@HOWTODIYwithEddy oh okay ill probably try to find some in my scrabyards thanks!

Hi. I am in process of changing head gasket of Hyundai i10 1.2 year 2012 . Could you please let me know the torque spec for following components: Head bolts, camshaft caps, timing chain cover , crankshaft pulley bolts and engine mount ( chain side ) . Many thanks
Hi, the software I have now is online autodata, and to be able to get any torques, I need to put the reg on it.
Reg number HN12GNZ . Much appreciated
@@HOWTODIYwithEddy . Reg is HN12GNZ .. many thanks
Thank you, very helpful:)
You welcome
Hi mate can you check if my insignia needs a belt change just bought it 92000 miles looked at belt and seems ok from top is the an away to check online! Also were did you buy the kit?
I bought it in general traffic, only with reg I can see what milage needs to be changed as I only have autodata online
Nice video, where could I buy the rocker arms and lifters for corsa 1.6? cheers
Car parts shop like (general traffic, euro car parts, gsf etc)
If you cannot move the valve then undo the bolts by 2/3 turns then start the engine with electrical plug connected. The pressure will free up the fitting.Only undo the bolts a couple of turns and make sure the engine is warm
Top
advice doing this way the sump was not droped slighty you risk having low oil pressure there should ber good seal from sump to crankcase
Yes
Excellent Video. Thank you
You welcome
I am totally screwed up by not having locked cam first and moved crank once belt was off I have now locked cams and crank is oss slightly so bottom plate will not align can crank be turned backwards to align once cams are locked
Winner👍👍
Thank you
Hey pal I replaced all 4 brake pads on my transit 2010 10,000 miles ago and brake pad warning lights on dash now last week? This seem normal?
Hi, did you also replace the wear sensors with new ones?
@@HOWTODIYwithEddy yes mate I did
I watched the video and I saw white lines on the belt and when you rotated it the white lines didn’t seem to line up with the timing marks
White line is for reference, once you rotate the full cycle ,do the locking and they have to match as shown in the video
hi, could you click the A14NET 103 (140) 4900 2011-14 1.4 tURBO on the very first selection you made please, as you only showed the A14NEL engine version. Thanks again.
Hi, unfortunately I don't have that software anymore, the replacement is online and needs the reg to open the torques and info
What software is that please .can you ket me know thanks mark
That is the 2014 last hard copy autodata. After 2014, it changed to online autodata with a subscription
Thanks
@@HOWTODIYwithEddycant see hub cv nut torque 🤔
Hey Eddy, Was there any modification required for the old parking sensors to fit in the new bumper?
Yes, they are diferent so you need to use yours and possible the holders on the new bumper
Ok thanks, what are the exact modifications that you did to make them fit?
@@tompepicelli1922 I took the old holders from my bumper and put them on the new bumper
@@eduardopinheiro644 thanks for the response. So no fitment issues using the old holders?
Thanks, thanks, thanks!!!

Is there two variants of gasket for this corsa D ?
The only thing that changes is the number of cilynders
Nice tutorial, my son has jus got his first car & decided on a 2008 corsa D 1.2 sxi, it aint without its faults but for its age its engine sounds spot on, its had a chain kit replacement not so long ago but it needs the valve cover gasket replacing , so gona sort the oil service out for him while i do the gasket aswell & thought ill give the cooling system a refresh aswell . For his first car its ok bodywork wise few scratches n bit of rust etc so id rather him have that than a brand spankin new motor while he gets used to the uk roads & looney drivers lol. So now i know how im gona tackle the jobs at hand thanks to this vid .
Yes,it's the right way to go. The valve cover gasket I have a video showing how I do it if it helps. Thanks
Hallo, i have the same media in my w211 i wanted to change it to ntg 1 but people on forums say its inposible to change it. The only option i have is to put android but i hate parts that are not original. Are there any other options like puting ntg 2.5 from cls?
Hi I don't think it will work because the fiber optic
Very informative video... Do you have any more videos on this specific vehicle? I can't find anywhere on TH-cam... I have the same car... 2007 Saab 93 1.8 linear. Thank you 😊
No,only this one, is not many cars around
Great vid keep up the hard work 👊🏻
Thanks
Super
Thank you

You don't use copper grease. You use brake grease!
It's copper grease
Hi thanks for video …do you know if the stereo has a fuse in the back …mine isn’t working and checked all the other fuses . It stopped working after a bad battery change …ended up having to replace the sam unit in the back because the rear indicator wasn’t working which replacing the sam fixed ….but still no stereo , no lights nothing .
I don't really know if there is any fuse at the back, is better a electrician do a diagnostic as it will be quicker to identify the issue, then you can decide if do it yourself or pay someone to do it.
Thank you for sharing Eddy, what's the latest software you use?
Tech4tech.co.uk
Hey Eddy ! Thanks for the video! What's the yellow ! triangle ? Thanks!
Usually mean to renew bolts
Really helping me, trying to repair an Astra same engine! 1.4 z14xep. Do you know how the little rocker brackets fit onto the lifters and valve?
Just to add, trying to take exhaust side cams off to replace rocker that sits on lifter, trying figure out how to lock sprockets only so I don’t knock timing out and I can take the cam out
Hi buddy the fog lights are different right? Can I reuse the chrome moldings from my old bumper ?
Hi, I don't think so
The best video ever.i think i will try it thanks to you.thank you very much!!!
Thank you
Hi where did you get the locking tool from please ?
I bought from ebay long time ago

How much torque for front hub nut? I have a Vauxhall Combo C 1.3 2007 Is it 150nm?
Hi, I don't have that software anymore, the one I work with now is online and I need reg to see torque specs, sorry mate
Can you show torque specs for a 2008 corsa 1.3 ctdi eco flex
What torques do you need?
Hi. Thanks. Did not succeed. The EGR stays like stucked in. Even bumping it with a hammer....didn't move a mm...
Well, that's happen, the cleaning is a preventive way to prolong the life of the egr, but sometimes is too late.
U mean it has to be changed? But then how to remove it? Bumping it with a hammer?
Try a few taps with a rubber hammer, don't hit the plastic housing on the egr. Try it to see if helps
U are very kind. I thank u a lot and wish I a GOOD day
You have done the good Lord's work making this video. Thank you!
You welcome
My Corsa D 1.0 2012 sometimes cranks forever the first try, then fires up always 2nd time. Noticed new plugs are already black after only 2 weeks, so over fueling as well. Could this be a timing problem? Is it worth changing Crankshaft sensor? No fault codes and car drives ok, no stalling and tick over is within normal range and steady. Any idea's of the cause?
Hi, I don't think the crankshaft sensor is faulty. If the chain is stretched, it could do that. Does the car on could make any rattle noise ?
@@HOWTODIYwithEddy car sounds ok for a 3 cylinder engine. No noticeable rattle. Though I just spoke to a mechanic and he thinks it could be the chain. Taking it in on Monday for inspection. Can you tell by the tension in chain from the top If it's too loose? Is cost still around £500 to replace?
@@HOWTODIYwithEddy I thought rough, uneven idle and cutting out would be sign of faulty timing belt?
@gavinledermann7029 could be the chain becoming stretch, it could be slightly of timing because of that and only starts when crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor get sincronized, once the timing cover is off it could see if there is a slack on the chain
@@eduardopinheiro644 Thanks for the reply. Yes, I am thinking timing chain is the likely cause. Will get it inspected on Monday. Last garage failed to diagnose the problem and changed injectors, coil pack, airflow meter, oil + filter, cleaned throttle body. So a lot of money spent already and a possible timing chain replacement coming up. I'll stick to Toyota's after this experience.
Will this be the same for astra 1.4 Z14XEP? Thanks
How much would this job cost n UK on exactly same car please???
It could be around £600 with a timing kit, but the price depends on garages
@@HOWTODIYwithEddy £450 got it for cheers gor content 👌 👍
I removed the EGR valve and cleaned it. When I put it back. It did not work any suggestions, when I removed it and then worked again.
Check the connections,if ok ,then could be intermittent fault on the EGR
Dude bought out every useless piece of garbage Aliexpress had to offer and riced out his car. Still, doesn't change the fact that the car doesn't even have climate control, Xenon or any other decent options. In fact, the end result is so tacky the car is about to become flypaper. Before you go and hate on my comment saying everyone has their own taste, remember - this is also just my personal opinion.
Yes its true, and yours views are welcome
Lmao, I think the car looks nice and tasteful. It's really not that bad. I'm also really interested what car do you drive :) Something tells me the jealousy got you.
