THANK YOU SO MUCH .... the trick worked. I was exhausted and was about to give up until I came across this video.

What symptoms were you experiencing? My om642 has been into Mercedes 3x in 12s for a surging while under low acceleration. So far we have replace multiple sensors including ones inside the transmission now the tech reports that it may be a stuck EGR valve.

Bravo! Didn't think to use a wood chisel, but I'm also going to hate doing that to one of my chisels 😂

An additional oil separator with crankcase gases must be installed on these motors.
The engine will live longer, swirl flaps and particulate filter .
На эти моторы надо ставить дополнительно сепаратор картерных газов с возвратом масла.
Двигатель дольше проживёт , вихревые заслонки и сажевый фильтр.

If you know these EGR valve and swirl flaps delete very well, would you tell me why I have issues with my e320 cdi 2005 where I did electronically delete EGR and swirl flaps through the tuning where it create higher pressure in the Coolant expansion tank, the coolant seems gets hotter and it gets more pressurised and starts escaping through the OPENINGS or when opening the coolant tank it gets over the top and flows all over the engine?
I really appreciate for your help.
      Thanks

I agree with Jek Jekil posting here regarding the necessity for an oil separation can for the crankcase breather.
Crankcasei oil mist mixed with recirculated exhaust gas = black gluey gunk in the inlet manifold, leading to the failure of the swirl-flap motor as the plastic flaps get glued up and then the usual limp home mode exactly when you are hitting the pedal hard to overtake. Its just a bad design but easily solved with a "catch-tank"

Thanks for taking the time to show bud. I am about to tackle this on my 300c v6. The part you said you didnt take off (black bit) is that easy enough?

What are the torque specs for the two screws please ?
I ask because, i realized that there is a little coolent leak between the EGR and the mount. (After reinstallation)
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry I don't know but if you measure size of bolt nit sure if it's a 6mm or 8mm bolt you should be able to search for average torque settings for that size bolt. Can't remember if it has an o ring seal have you checked you have not damaged it.

I have w204 (Om642) I have limp mode problem without check engine light, I passed the car in diagnostic and had indicated that there’s an issue in EGR valve, I bought a new one and changed it and after 3 days the same problem back again, a limp mode again without check engine light !
    Any advices please

I don't have the car anymore, you could look for swirl motor resistor mod and replacing turbo actuator.

When I started unscrewing the lower e torx bolt, some blue fluid started spilling out. Is this normal?

Hey, i got the same problem what happened ? Can you tell me more?

    • @Luxxotic
      @Luxxotic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@elizaevans2345 I think in my car theres a leak in the EGR cooler, and the coolant leaks into the egr valve. As far as I know, there shouldn't be any fluid in there, because its just a valve that redirects exhaust fumes into the intake. My coolant level keeps dropping very slowly, but theres no spills on the ground where I park, so I'm thinking the coolant gets burnt up in the engine because of the valve

I have a similar issue when I delete EGR electronically. When I return to the original stock file overheating or so to speak higher pressure disappears
