And it is. The weight balances on your hand and it doesn’t feel heavy. Also they recommend the lowest temperature to the hair on the nape and around the face, for less damage. I have both and the corrale has a plus of styling with lower temperature, less damage. You can use it plugged or rest it on the pedestal between strains of hair. I do while separating the hair, and it is enough for my whole head.
I saw from other influencers that the Dyson come with a cord so that it can be plugged in at the same time as using it. Even if it does come with a cord, 20 minutes is nothing, and it should last for wayyy longer, as it is being advertised as a cordless device.
2shayZEE The truth! I’ve had one for several years and am still not thrilled it lasts all of 15 minutes, which is really ridiculous. So I just use it for my area rug and for quick touch-ups. And the sofa. Works great just doesn’t last long.
honestly i feel like she was doing her hair very badly the second time her hair was everywhere while on the other side everything was in place doing it perfectly !
gigi o I know ! She took forever to properly straighten it. I used to straighten my hair EVERY day and never took over 30 minutes for the entire thing, especially not one side only !!!
I see what you mean but if you watch all her other videos she seems to have better luck with her right side all the time.🤣 She says her left side is curlier and fuller.
I agree Gigi o. I’m a licensed cosmetologist and straighten my hair all the time. I have curlier hair than her. She did a decent job with sectioning on the ghd side but a horrible job on the Dyson side. We all have a thicker (more dense) side of our hair. This was a very unfair review/vs. in so many ways. The biggest is the fact that she kept talking about the price and that the battery should last longer. The ghd is not cordless so she should have used the Dyson with the cord attached from the beginning. The plates on the Dyson are very different from the ghd. The different metals will conduct and disperse the heat differently.
gigi o when I straighten my hair, my dominant hand is my left hand. so when i do my right section of my hair its perfect and always have a hard time on the other side even curling it.
Daniel Salvador I know that, but the whole purpose of a straightener is to straighten your hair and actually last the whole process of doing so. In my opinion this purpose was completely missed with their invention or however you want to call it
It is a high powered device, the charging cable will not deliver the right amount required quick enough. So, it is possible for it to go down while being charged.
You guys, that hair straightener is $500!!! For that amount of money my hair should look bomb af no matter how I style my hair! For that amount of money it should not be that picky. My opinion🤷♀️
Try this: turn on the corrale on 100% battery and then take the timer. If the battery works for less than 30 minutes, you have to call the costumer service. I think also that temperature isn’t enough for you. I know that the ghd has the same temperature, but the corrale has a different tecnology and different materials...
I think its quite unfair to compare to straighteners with different technology. I mean the GHD straightner has ceramic plates which is obviously is more damaging than copper alloy plates so it actually reduces the heat damage by 50%. Which means you can actually increase the temperature and get better/faster results in half the time. At 365° temperature for a dyson Coralle it would be ideal for someone who has fine/color treated hair. In your case you have coarse texture so mostly you need a higher temperature setting.
🔥 I don’t see how can the different technology and type of plates on the Tyson allows for a higher heat setting to be used without causing as much damage than another type of flat with the same heat setting and different technology and plates. No matter how the heat is transferred to you hair , heat is heat and it all burns and feels the same when it reaches a certain temperature. Make it make sense. 😊
@𝓞𝓻𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓸 𝓒𝓻𝓾𝔃 The way the heat is distributed through those plates obviously reduces the number of passes, therefore not damaging the hair like the other iron is one way. I cant speak to heat is heat point, maybe call Dyson and ask them!
Binge watching intesifies well the Idea behind that is. That the straightener checks the moisture and thickness of you hair and arrange the temperature
You need to know more about ghd technology, ghd doesn't have only 1 heat settings, the heat bar adapts to your hair, so your hair isn't overheat or burned, this is what people swears by ghd, it is so good.
Great comparison! One point to note is the ghd platinum plus doesn't have one heat setting. It adjusts depending on your type of hair. So if your hair is thin, the plates have technology that recognises this and will adjust the temperature to the lower end. And if your hair is thick it will adjust it to the higher setting. The point is that you don't have to change the setting manually, it does it automatically via predictive technology. 👍🏻
Wait... seriously??? I'm definitely gonna have to invest in one. I currently have the BaByliss pro titanium and it does an amazing job all around but I want another one.
Can you see which was less damaging the day after straightening? For me the second day you can see how dry the hair is and if split ends are caused from the heat. I’ve compared CHI, Paul mitchell pro tools ion straightener, and dyson. Dyson is heavier and pricier but noticed it doesn’t cause the split ends despite some tugging. I have to use a comb and gently press dyson plates so it won’t snag on the plates.
@@terrierlover and go to Dyson's website, this tool is supposed to last 30 minutes fully charged, just 10 minutes more than hers. Idk about you, but I cannot do my hair in 30 minutes, If I purchase this (and I won't) I would have to wait for it to charge twice or use it with the cord. Conclusion, not worth the hype or the price. Next...
finding wig dang this was not made for curly hair girls. I don’t need 30 mins to do my hair but I have wavy hair. With my ghd I spend 10 -15 mins doing my hair and that’s going over several passes
You can use the Dyson plugged in if you need to use it for a long time. It takes me about 25 minutes to do my whole head and the battery charge has always lasted easily long enough every timevive used it. Of course we all have preferences and my old GHDs have ended up being put away because I love the new Dyson so much. My hair is so much softer and sleek with the Dyson I'm really glad I bought it
Thank you so much for saving me $500.00! You're absolutely right for that price it should work indefinitely with the cord... for that price it should turn into a robot and be 'handsfree'. Thank you Julissa 😘
My opinion. I feel like she is getting a lot of "hate" on how she is "presenting" Dyson and I honestly think she is representing it bad on purpose. Who knows 🤷♀️
Same thing I seen. Smaller sections on ghd side and multiple passes. She ran the straightener on the ghd side like 4 times on one strand and said it was two passes. She used them differently so this review is inaccurate.
I have watched multiple dyson reviews and own one myself, the battery typically lasts minimum 30 minutes if not longer. I get about 45min with highest heat setting. She need to do an exchange if this is lasting 20min and give it a real fair shot unless she wants it to be defective for the review.
So glad you made this, I watch Brad Mondo’s review and thought maybe it would be a good purchase, but we latinas have lots of hair and we can’t have a hair tool that dies before I’m done. Thank you as always
What's up with everyone trying to defend this $500 (!!) cordless flat iron that can't hold a charge! Hell it can't even straighten all hair textures. Feel like I'm taking crazy pills reading comments that are fawning over this. Julissa, I'm so glad you did this side-by-side comparison. You are one of the few YTs that has the same texture and does helpful comparisons! Please keep it up!
Leslie Thomas People lost their sense of how much things are worth. I mean we buy concealers for 30 bucks, lipgloss for 25 and eyeshadow palettes for 130 dollars. As someone who probably owns 20000 dollars worth of a makeup collection (it is fucking ridiculous) but still pays off her student loans I know how ridiculous this is. That hair straightener is the price of a washing machine or a new refrigerator. I refuse to pay this much for a hair tool. Same way I won’t buy ridiculously priced makeup anymore. Please guys look at the climate nowadays people will be laid off, the quarantine will leave people with no money because most people do not have any savings. I would only get this if I paid off my house and my car and saved up for it. Stay safe
Leslie Thomas if you see other reviews, when on the highest heat setting the dyson works much better on similar hair textures to hers. It definitely is completely overpriced but if she had used the higher heat setting it may have given her a better finish 🤷🏻♀️
It’s a matter of fair comparison. If you are comparing two things, you only can do so if all things in your control are the same. At that point you can see the differences, and assess. The sectioning sizes were not the same, the heat was not the same, the detangling was not the same. And throughout all the skill level demonstrated was not very high. This is not defending one device over another; it’s seeing an incredibly flawed and seeming biased process and objecting.
Agreed - the Dyson fan comments are very strange. This is the only very helpful review because it does the comparison, and shows the times. Clearly the Dyson does a worse job, takes longer, is more difficult to use (as per usual designed with that massive handle, which is hard for small hands to hold - great for male hairdressers!) and is double the price. Amazed that the battery still goes down AT ALL when plugged into the wall. What the hell?
@@victoriaecho4679 Yeah.. no. I have a similar texture and I use 300-365F with a conair flat iron and I get very good results. It's lightweight, heats up fast and doesn't have 3 heat settings. This straightener cannot even reach the roots!! At $500 it should be able to handle those variables you mentioned, flawlessly. After all conditions might not always be favorable. This is poorly designed product. Extraordinarily so.
Thanks for testing these. I will stick with my GHD and I think that one definitely did a better job. The Dyson looks more chunky and not sleek to handle too.
Depends on the customers hair texture. I would never use a flat iron at 450 😬 on myself (I have curly hair) or my clients. If you follow with a comb, you should only need one pass.
When you started saying that you need to charge it fully before using Dyson plugged in i thought what? why? and then you showed the answer. And I’m shocked! I didn’t know that it can’t be used just plugged in, and that’s a huge con. Also side with Dyson looks not that great considering the amount of effort you put into straightening and trying to make it work! I see creases in hair. The only nice thing about Dyson is these bending plates... But does it REALLY make a huge difference? I’d prefer a better working tool where hair, yes, will spread between plates but the result is great, rather than new technology with bad result. Thank you for your review! It’s really helpful!
Arianne S yeah I know, watch the video, it cannot be used as ordinary tech with cord, it has to be charged at first, and even with cord it loses battery
Great video. I have a feeling Dyson will come out with an "improved" version of this flatiron that will stay charged for 60 minutes BUT it will cost $800. I love their vacuums but their hair products are crazy pricey.
Same… I feel like maybe this was their first pass. If they come out with one that is “corded” with no option to be cordless, I actually think I’ll be more inclined to buy! I’ve heard some great things about how it reduces heat damage, so I’m reallllyyyy tempted to buy, but with many folks mentioning how the battery dies after two years and won’t hold a charge (and in some cases, can’t even operate plugged in at that point), I am wary of spending so much just to have to repeat the purchase in 2 years. I will wait until they improve the tech. But I wish it were now! I meed a new flat iron now… :/ My last one lasted me about 10 years, I think. :D
What I find odd about this video is that she has another one out there where she is praising dyson corrale. So now it makes me question everything she is saying, because when she initially reviewed it, her hair was smooth and she loved it. There were no frizz, seemed to even be less damaging ect...
Like I said is another comment,my opinion. I feel like she is getting a lot of "hate" on how she is "presenting" Dyson and I honestly think she is representing it bad on purpose. Who knows 🤷♀️
Marie Boisson And she did Not straighten the Dyson side the same way as the GHD...lack of consistency and may or may not ready the directions on how to properly use the Dyson Córrale
Maethorial 7 Regardless, Brad Mondo did a review with the same product- and their opinions lined up. The Flat iron is not that good for how much it cost, look at Brad Mondo’s video, and maybe even buy the damn product yourself before saying she’s lying. 🥰
Pro hairdresser here🖐: I feel like this would be better for hairdressers, and here's why! We typically blow dry our clients hair with a round brush to stretch the hair out before we straighten it, which means we dont need to take more than 15 minutes (usually) to straighten someone's hair because we put in the work to get it pretty straight while drying! So to me this is not meant to be an at home straightener unless you a) have fairly straight hair already, or b) put the time in to get your hair as straight as possibly while blow drying. Buuuut I dont like the static look, that's not good, and I feel like my $165 flat iron works better than the Dyson. Just my opinion!
I like your video, but I don’t think you gave Dyson a fair review. I love ghd products, in fact I have every single straightener they produced and I did a comparison between ghd platinum + and the new Dyson straightener. I found Dyson side was very silky just like ghd, in addition it was less static, very moisturized, teamed my roots nicely, especially baby hair and there were no burn smell to my hair compared to ghd side. It does pulls the hair, especially at the ends, however, I found this gives a smooth finish at the end. My opinion is Dyson does deliver amazing styling finish with less damage, but it’s very costly and it’s doesn’t meet its claim as a cordless straightener. It didn’t save me any time. I spent the same amount of time using it as I normally take when using ghd. Also, the cord detaches quite few time during styling, but it does the job, especially when I place it on the charger dock between sessions. I am torn a part of keeping it because I do believe it will help reducing my hair damage but I don’t like its chunky felling and crazy price.
I don’t think she had any idea how long the battery life is supposed to be - she clearly had it off the charger for a while before the timer was started. It’s only advertised as having a 30 minute battery life off the charger.
Thank you for this video. You helped me make my decision I’m canceling my dyson order. I’m ordering the ghd. $500 is way too much for a straightener with that many flaws. Also I do not like how the córrale left your hair staticky. Thanks so much for this video!!!
Jenifer Mota she probably has a faulty battery (something always go wrong when you buy the first batch of products). Nobody else on TH-cam has the same issue as her. She also didn’t use any heat protection before using the straightener that’s why her hair is frizzy.
The GHD looks way better. I have the same GHD and it’s amazing. It really makes the hair silk, it’s not bulky and it’s great. I own the fusion dryer and can straighten and curl with it and a round brush just fine. I’m good with the dryer and my GHD I just don’t need this flat iron it’s not any better for 500 bucks
You are so right, it’s like she’s doing it on purpose, I have curlier hair than her and I dont take fkn 27 minutes to do ONE side of my head. Smh 🤦🏻♀️
Bianca Bumblebee she didn’t section with the Dyson the same way she sectioned withe ghd for starters, she didn’t use it on the cord the whole time like the ghd she is comparing them so she should give them the same odds
y I did a video on this straightener and had the same exact issue. Frizz and the battery took longer than 70 minutes to charge and didn’t last longer than 20 minutes 😕 thanks for being honest it validates what I said in my video ✨
I worked in hair straightener R&D and some devices came with a technology that sent static down the cord and away from your hair. If the Corrale is cordless, there's no way to discharge that static and of course it'll make you flyouts pop up!
I just bought a GHD because I want to pull volume OUT of my hair and I am very pleased how every review leaves the GHD side sleeker than the comparison side. I am hyped to try mine
Same . I have the Dyson air wrap and the “smoothing” brush doesn’t work for me because it leaves volume, the opposite of what I need. It’s looking like Dyson is really for fine thin hair they can easy be addressed with much cheaper/simpler tools.
Late to the party. I'm looking to get the Dyson for my gf. Thanks for the vid! As for those of you stating that the battery should last an entire session...With current battery tech, this is pretty much impossible with the size of battery attached to this unit. The generation of heat through electricity is very inefficient. This is with all mobile heating devices. The amount of time that this unit lasts on battery isn't surprising at all. There would need to be an evolutionary/revolutionary advancement in energy storage tech for a substantial increase in operational time.
Try using a small comb while straightening, makes your hair softer and shinier, covers ground quick and gives the straightener direction on the pull :)
It looks like you got a faulty flat iron. I'd recommend contacting Dyson. The fact that you have to fully charge it to use it corded is definitely not what it's supposed to do. Regardless, the fact that it's taking you way longer at the same temp, the static, not acceptable for a $500 tool.
I own a GHD platinum and the cordless idea of the Dyson really attracts me. I checked out most video about Corrale it seems only you have tested the battery issue. Thanks Julissa!
wow.. i would've expected more from a $500 straightener. definitely not sad about not being able to buy this one.. thanks for the review! btw - your hair is GORGEOUS (curly & straight)
I have heard a lot of other influencers, with curly hair, that had the same problems. I think it's because it only goes up to 410 and not 450, so it isn't hot enough to properly straighten curly hair. Plus, since it's not that hot, you end up having to do more passes.
Hey Girl. 500 dollars is too much money for a tool that is going to die on you. I like the ghd better your hair looks so good and the result last longer but again is also not cheaper. You can get the same results using a tool the cost less. Great video as always keep up the good job God bless you
I think it's a hair tool intended to be used by people with already straight hair but need an extra touch here and there. Not for women with very curly hair that really takes them a while to straighten. My hair is ten times curlier than yours, not for a moment would I consider purchasing this Dyson product. I use the Bioionoc vibrating plates iron and I love it. I would like to see you do a comparison between the Bioionic and the GHD. Thank you.
@@sydneybodenstein928 I agree with you 100%. What I meant was that it's not intended for every type of hair. I have an Asian friend that washes her hair and when it dries it looks dead straight but when she wants a more sleek, professionally done look, she uses a flat iron. For her type of hair that tool would be perfect but definitely not for my hair.
If it's intended for straight hair why are they advertising it for 'all' hair types? The main advert has a woman with very curly hair straightening it with this product. Points off for deceptive advertising.
@@lesliethomas3990 if you want to use it for curly hair, then I think it should be used with the cord attached, if not, it's not going to have enough power. For that, you can buy a really good flat iron at half the price.
@@avryarden1150 she doesnt have to use a brush to straighten her hair or a comb. She is not doing it wrong. I dont use a brush or comb when I straighten my hair and it comes out fine and no I dont have extreme heat damage
Fish N Clips I think that not charging the battery before the first use was a huge mistake. Instructions are there for a reason. And let’s face it, once the battery is being used long-term it won’t hold like at all after one year or so...
Elene Lara Ortega I do not think so, if you look at her first review of the Dyson straightener you will see that she tried all three temperatures on her hair and it worked.
Elene Lara Ortega it def is not! I just don’t understand why wasting so much money on products that don’t work? I mean, I just watched another of her reviews on the airwrap where again she says that the blowout is not as good as Revlon’s. So there we are, over 1000usd later with bad working hair tools which she wished were in a certain way. I mean if it doesn’t work well, just return it. For 500usd it better be nothing short of perfect! What’s with all that hoarding ??? I have exactly one hair straightener with steam which is so cheap, but it works perfectly and my hair is curlier than hers. I use it like 8 times per year and it works well enough for me, I don’t want to damage my hair with heat so I use it in winter when humidity doesn’t interfere with my results. I was really curious about the new Dyson product , but no way I am buying either the straightener nor the airwrap.
You did something wrong!!!! I use that in the salon and there is no way it died in 20 min. I’ve used it up to 35-40 min. I think this is biased!!! Charging it also doesn’t take that long! I charged the ones I have in 45 min flat! Drama for views...smh! Girl bye!!
Tadesko1 it is totally biased!!! She talks way more than what she ACTUALLY straightens the hair. Dysentery clearly stated that it would last 30 minutes on a single full charge and I’ve seen videos where they last perfectly, check Brad Mondo review where it lasts a long time! Maybe she got a defected battery it’s the only way. She also began the timer time after the straightener had been turned on
Hey :) I have super curly hair too! I have been using the GHD for about 15years with no complaints. I recently seen the Dyson and wanted to see it in curly hair so thank you :) The side you did with the GHD is definitely better! the Dyson left kinks and i dont like the time it took you to finish it. So, ill stick to my GHD :)
the crazy thing is that, even with the cord attached, it still eats through the battery! Seems like once the battery is ruined you wouldn't be able to use it at all anymore, even with the cord attached.
Hey! If it’s fully charged, you can use the cord and it will last very long actually more than an hour! But I tried using it with the cord at a low battery level and it just dies right away. The cord doesn’t charge the tool when you’re using it, it helps the battery last a bit longer but it still ends up dying. Hope this makes sense! 💕
If you used the Dyson corded/with cord attached (it can be used cordless or corded), that would be a fair comparison and it would keep going just like the Ghd. Try taking them into your car and see which one works!
Defective battery - twice! I purchased my Corrale in March 2020 and it stopped working in 2021. Dyson indicated the battery issue was not repairable and they sent a a refurbished unit as a replacement. The replacement had the same battery issue and died in March 2023. Spent $500 on a device that didn’t even last 3 full years.
😊 “my hair is so soft I wish you could all touch it,” Meanwhile not realising she capsises the Internet GHD have always been very solid, that price jumped the Dyson is only justified if you fancy cordless I think
@@guitarhero760 The temperature doesn't change, the heat sensors track how the heat is distributed and keep it at a constant 365F, so it doesn't know if it's damaging your hair or anything, just keeps the temperature. I've seen several people though who think the straightener will know if it's damaging your hair and reduce the temperature, which isn't it at all. Edit to add that I'm pretty sure the Dyson claims to do the same thing. 😄
as a hairstylist, it’s so cringey to see people talk about products they don’t know that well. the GHD plantinum + doesn’t have ONE heat setting it has multiple sensors to sense the thickness of the hair and measures the heat that should be used. it’s also a flat iron that you don’t need to press on like you did, you let it glide.
I love ghd, no freezing hair, no comments . I have Dyson Air Wrap and when I use it my hair doesn’t seem to be the same, too much money spent, no benefits.
Thank you for this Video. I do have a GHD for at least 10yrs. And thinking switching to Dyson. But after your video I will pass on Dyson Corrale for now. Until they make a change on the cordless.
Interesting comparison but over time would the GHD cause more damage to the hair? Also the Dyson Corrale she is using is the professional one which is only available to hairstylists via the business website….unless this is different in the USA?
You can use the dyson by placing it in the charging cradle between passes while grabbing another section and it will last longer that way as well as it comes with a magnetic charging cord.
thanks for this video! i have been using GHD for many years and my hair is so curly and i can tell it’s life changing. wanted to buy new straightener tho and considering dyson.. after this video i will just repurchase GHD :’) hahaha
Thanks for the review I just seen this dyson straightener on an advert and thought I’ll get the wife it for xmas. Glad I seen your review as I’ll swerve that one. The side you did the ghd with looks miles better.
First, your hair is gorgeous naturally. Second, return the Dyson, it's too expensive and the results are mediocre. I think straighteners should be sold based on hair type. That being said, a $500 flat iron should have left your hair looking like silk. I purchased a T3 which many people say it's not great for thick coarse hair, but it works wonders for people with thin or fine hair. That being said, I also have a GHD which also works really well so I can relate to your GHD experience. Great review, thanks!!
Thanks for your honest review! I don't think the Dyson is worth 500$.🤦🏽♀️ I love your hair so much and your videos 😍 maybe you could test the ikoo e-styler once? 😊❤

I got the corrale and it's boxed up waiting to go back. I had high hopes. It dragged my hair and it was so static after I finished. Also needed to do very small sections. Didn't enjoy using it at all. It's great at curls but not straightening. My GHD is much better.
olenAshley y I did a video on this straightener and had the same exact issue. Frizz and the battery took longer than 70 minutes to charge and didn’t last longer than 20 minutes 😕
While I agree that GHD has been one of the best hair tools made, and that Dyson is overpriced and gimmicky, I can't help but notice that you're pretty much give Dyson no chance reviewing it, it's like you already set your mind to put it in negative light from the way you handle the straightener, sectioning etc. - It's too obvious that you're biased against Dyson
You might have a faulty battery on the Dyson straightener. I would recommend you send them your video. They have a decent customer service (at least in Europe)

Hello Out there I mean, that’s what i thought, but it definitely will at some points since after 1 hour, it was already at 50% battery
It’s not a smartphone it will definitely die because the power is being supply to the battery not the whole straightener.
Daniel Salvador I know that, but the whole purpose of a straightener is to straighten your hair and actually last the whole process of doing so. In my opinion this purpose was completely missed with their invention or however you want to call it

I think also that temperature isn’t enough for you. I know that the ghd has the same temperature, but the corrale has a different tecnology and different materials...
Cristina De Ramundo i agree she should try this
Cristina De Ramundo - good point!
Great points to mention that are actually very important, but you know its kids on youtube trying to make content without facts.
@@Orlanzepol123metal transfers heat much more evenly and quickly than ceramic so it does make a big difference
250 for a straightener that allows only one heat setting sounds like a damn scam not gonna lie.
Binge watching intesifies well the Idea behind that is. That the straightener checks the moisture and thickness of you hair and arrange the temperature
Binge watching intesifies especially with the sound that screams Chinese product 🤣
Ghd is the best own it love it wouldn't use any other straightener now no need best curl best straight best wave
You need to know more about ghd technology, ghd doesn't have only 1 heat settings, the heat bar adapts to your hair, so your hair isn't overheat or burned, this is what people swears by ghd, it is so good.
kenakaren true it adjusts to ur hair but I have it and it doesn’t straighten it good enough for thick curly hair I would recommend for wavy hair
It's unacceptable for something that cost so much money. Regardless, the GHD side looks so much better.
It has extra features
She’s not used it correctly really ...😖
Ghd are always the best gave been for years or Remington are fab
@@andreeagajim6192 How did she not use correctly?
Great comparison! One point to note is the ghd platinum plus doesn't have one heat setting. It adjusts depending on your type of hair. So if your hair is thin, the plates have technology that recognises this and will adjust the temperature to the lower end. And if your hair is thick it will adjust it to the higher setting. The point is that you don't have to change the setting manually, it does it automatically via predictive technology. 👍🏻
Wait... seriously??? I'm definitely gonna have to invest in one. I currently have the BaByliss pro titanium and it does an amazing job all around but I want another one.
Glad I didn't waste 500 dollars honestly.
@@delenaq I just got one as a gift and yes the girl is right. O love it a have a full head of hair and super thick. I love it.
I completely love it!!! 👏🏼🙌🏼

Girl, it is advertised as a CORDLESS iron, but you cannot use it without the cord... Hmm.
Shame on the one who try to tell me this worth $500
@@terrierloverthe battery will die eventually, like any regular cordless item, and even better, she paid $500 for a defective iron. I can't even...
Conclusion, not worth the hype or the price.

...what??? You CAN use it without the cord. What are you even talking about
@@findingwig1211 maybe YOU can't. But that doesn't mean there's not plenty of people out there who can.
finding wig dang this was not made for curly hair girls.
My hair is so much softer and sleek with the Dyson I'm really glad I bought it
Agree!!
Pay for battery and use it plugged LOOOOOL... waste of money
I think GHD has really stood the stand of time. Would buy dyson’s hairdryer but definitely wouldn’t splurge $600 on a hair straightener!!
Samw
Thank you so much for saving me $500.00! You're absolutely right for that price it should work indefinitely with the cord... for that price it should turn into a robot and be 'handsfree'. Thank you Julissa 😘
Lol. Absolutely
Why did you section your hair so differently than the GHD side when you used the Dyson... did GHD sponsor this video?
I notice that to and she slide the straighteners faster with the Dyson on each section
My opinion. I feel like she is getting a lot of "hate" on how she is "presenting" Dyson and I honestly think she is representing it bad on purpose. Who knows 🤷♀️
Toni Bello well that’s because the Dyson have slides more easily.

Extraordinarily so.
i can tell that you already set your mind to give dyson a bad review
Yep she should have used it on the cord like the ghd and she didn’t even section with the Dyson side
Its not about how long the battery lasts , you cant compare the two.
Dyson is bad !! I had since since 2021 and the battery doesn’t last even a minute now. Shame!

Thanks for testing these. I will stick with my GHD and I think that one definitely did a better job. The Dyson looks more chunky and not sleek to handle too.
I always tell my customers: you rather use 450° and just pass it once than to do 360°and pass it 2 or 3 times(wich is putting more heat on your hair).
hair starts to burn at 450. if you move slow you can do 360. ive done it at 310 tbh. don’t burn your hair
Depends on the customers hair texture. I would never use a flat iron at 450 😬 on myself (I have curly hair) or my clients. If you follow with a comb, you should only need one pass.
Thank you 🙏🏽 ended up getting the ghd platinum+ for my wife instead of the Dyson and she’s freaking loving it and is looking gorgeous.
It’s really helpful!
you can use the coral with the cord plugged in
Arianne S yeah I know, watch the video, it cannot be used as ordinary tech with cord, it has to be charged at first, and even with cord it loses battery

Great video. I have a feeling Dyson will come out with an "improved" version of this flatiron that will stay charged for 60 minutes BUT it will cost $800. I love their vacuums but their hair products are crazy pricey.

you can use the dyson hair straightener with the charger in it you don't have to wait for it to be fully charged at all
Same… I feel like maybe this was their first pass.

Shasta Ehrhart Which flat iron do you use?

A lot of these TH-camrs lack technique. I saw a professional stylist use it on afro hair and she SLAYED it!

I don’t think she is honest about non sponsored videos.
Azaliya Kaplunsky i agree
I agree.
Uhh Maybe she got a faulty straightener
I don’t think she had any idea how long the battery life is supposed to be - she clearly had it off the charger for a while before the timer was started. It’s only advertised as having a 30 minute battery life off the charger.
Dyson says it only will last 30 minutes and you are saying she is dishonest? Are you alright? I think the sponsored one is you, lol
Thanks for the review, I’m doing research for my wife’s Xmas present. You’ve helped me narrow my search.
More demo, wayyyyy less talking. And your technique between the two straighteners is inconsistent. Not a very fair trial comparison.
Kathie Harrop you are so right, I feel like she was set since the begging to give dyson a bad review

I worked in hair straightener R&D and some devices came with a technology that sent static down the cord and away from your hair. If the Corrale is cordless, there's no way to discharge that static and of course it'll make you flyouts pop up!
really good point
Bought the GHD yesterday and watched this today. Phew. Thanks for confirming my purchase was the right one. 😊
I love the GHD side better than dyson. The dyson was frizzy when you came back. Thanks for this video during this crisis. Be safe girl!! Luv u!!
bxprincess04187 be safe too girl! ❤️ love you too!

Thank you.
Oreiro123 I agree but something that should just be used for touch ups should NOT cost $500
@@sydneybodenstein928 I agree with you 100%. What I meant was that it's not intended for every type of hair. For her type of hair that tool would be perfect but definitely not for my hair.

Just cause it’s more expensive don’t make it good
Thank you for the side by side review! The GHD did a really great job!
Spent $500 on a device that didn’t even last 3 full years.

the GHD sets its heat itself depending on how thick your hair is
I thought it was 365 degrees and never changes to another temperature
@@guitarhero760 The temperature doesn't change, the heat sensors track how the heat is distributed and keep it at a constant 365F, so it doesn't know if it's damaging your hair or anything, just keeps the temperature. Edit to add that I'm pretty sure the Dyson claims to do the same thing. 😄

Jean Edouard well i had it. Wasnt as good as they claimed
as a hairstylist, it’s so cringey to see people talk about products they don’t know that well. the GHD plantinum + doesn’t have ONE heat setting it has multiple sensors to sense the thickness of the hair and measures the heat that should be used. it’s also a flat iron that you don’t need to press on like you did, you let it glide.
I’ve noticed the same on most demos. It doesn’t smooth the hair well to me and not worth $500.
Thank you for taking the time to review. Very honest & informative! The GHD looks sleeker.
My Dyson hair straightener lasted me 40 minutes without cord . You should show them the video and they will send you a new one .
Lita Yang really?! Thats so weird! 🤔 thanks for letting me know! 💕
I bet heat setting has something to do with it
thanks for this video! i have been using GHD for many years and my hair is so curly and i can tell it’s life changing. wanted to buy new straightener tho and considering dyson.. after this video i will just repurchase GHD :’) hahaha
Please do GHD vs Cloud nine straighteners!!
Cloud nine wins, I gave my ghd away.
Love this video. Comparison between 2 flat irons helped me to make an informative decision.
I have 3a/3b type hair and I absolutely love the GHD platinum, I've had it for maybe 5 years and it's never failed me!
Yeah me to
Hows the hair after using it tho?
I’ve finally come across someone who has the exact same natural curly hair as mine, for me GHD and cloud 9 are top tier, makes my hair silky straight.
The only honest video about the sh**** Dyson in youtube. I don't think why people have this obsession with dyson. Thanks for being honest Julissa.
Thanks for the review I just seen this dyson straightener on an advert and thought I’ll get the wife it for xmas. Glad I seen your review as I’ll swerve that one. The side you did the ghd with looks miles better.
Oh my gosh, I’m definitely convinced to buy a GHD straightener after seeing this😉
First, your hair is gorgeous naturally.
GHD all the way!!! Thanks for doing this video 💚
This was a good video, and I appreciated the comparison. Thank you!
Thankyou for this video, im looking to get my daughter some straighteners for Christmas and was toss up between some cheap straighteners or GHD. Im getting her GHD and as its blackfriday they are doing 20% discount so gold is now £119 down from £149. Or their classic was £100 and now get it for £87. With free hair protection spray worth £15.00
I got the corrale and it's boxed up waiting to go back. I had high hopes. It dragged my hair and it was so static after I finished. Also needed to do very small sections. Didn't enjoy using it at all. It's great at curls but not straightening. My GHD is much better.
we need reviewer at amazon.do you interest it?
Perso j’ai un ghd et je regrette ! Ma soeur elle à dyson et je crois que je vais me le faire offrir 🎉
The best to style hair when using heated tools is to use your left hand for your right side and right hand for your left side.
Omg! Yes. The GHD side is so nice and sleek but the Dyson side I’m just so surprised???
olenAshley y I did a video on this straightener and had the same exact issue. Frizz and the battery took longer than 70 minutes to charge and didn’t last longer than 20 minutes 😕
What do you use in your hair after straightening to make it shiny?
While I agree that GHD has been one of the best hair tools made, and that Dyson is overpriced and gimmicky, I can't help but notice that you're pretty much give Dyson no chance reviewing it, it's like you already set your mind to put it in negative light from the way you handle the straightener, sectioning etc. - It's too obvious that you're biased against Dyson
Great review....watched it with my wife who does Makeup for movies and was intrested in the Dyson...you saved us from wasting money...thank you
You might have a faulty battery on the Dyson straightener. I would recommend you send them your video. They have a decent customer service (at least in Europe)
Skecon thank you! I should probably try that!
Wooow nooo way!!!! I wondered how long the battery would last, need at least an hour or more like 2!!! Thanks for the test
Omg Send the dyson back!!
I was just thinking about this today and I knew you would make a video on it, you never disappoint
