      While our Corrale can't quite do that, it's an innovative take on what a flat iron can do. We've realized and heard the concerns regarding, hair being potentially caught as well as the weight imbalance.
      Know that all concerns are noted and will be looked into for any potential changes or future models.

    Brad, since all the curly haired chicks are wondering how it's supposed to take less than 30min to straighten their hair, can you show a tutorial from wet to dry and straight hair to demonstrate how that's possible?? I'd be very interested in seeing 👀😊😊

    • @elaynaterrell3576
      @elaynaterrell3576 4 ปีที่แล้ว +39

      It would be a lot easier if people used rollers to stretch the curls first. If they did that first it wouldn't take long to straighten it. My aunt has extremely kinky hair and she always asks why it takes so long. I promise rollers help.

    • @katiechisholm
      @katiechisholm 4 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Elayna Terrell I can see how it would help, definitely. When I used to straighten my hair, I always blow-dried it straight before using a flat iron because I can’t straighten my hair once it’s dry and curly. I should try using rollers first to see if it would allow me to.

      My thick hair takes that long just to dry. I air-dry I refuse to use a hair dryer so that's probably most of it. But my curls don't like heat so I very rarely straighten my hair and even when I do no matter how much product or how slow I go it's still fights it so bad.

    • @nicolereid1990
      @nicolereid1990 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It takes my hair 3 days to dry naturally and if I use a regular hair straightener, a minimum of 4 hours to straighten. I bought a hairbrush straightener to use and that takes about an hour. Works beautifully! I use that and then run over the bottom to get it super straight. The brush keeps so much volume in my hair so I don't do the whole head with the regular straightener.

    I got lucky and got one as a gift. Probably most expensive thing I've ever owned lol. The price tag is super high, however, I have a connective tissue disorder. I get very tired and start hurting quickly when doing my hair. Because this is cordless and I don't have to fight with how I have to adjust my hands helps immensely. I was very impressed with how quickly it heats up, too. I never noticed any creasing nor snagging my hair. I do have thick AND dense hair though. To me, I found no flaws as Brad was talking about, but as mentioned my hair doesn't resemble the mannequins'. Save your points and get it from Ulta when they stop being such a trash company. That's how I ended up with my Air Wrap. Dyson has made some products that have allowed me to do my hair again instead of just throwing it up in a pony tail. I thought because of how heavy this was compared to my other flat irons it would tire me out quicker, but I think it helps that it's comfortable to hold and I can move it however I want.

    When I saw you had a review on this, I was so excited. As a professional hairstylist I wanted to get the opinion of a professional not associated with Dyson. However, that first mannequin with the "very curly hair" didn't actually have curly hair. Would you be willing to get a few models with different curly textures i.e. 3a-3c and 4a-4c and let us know your findings? I really want to see how it compares, because if it works well I could get behind purchasing one.

(Falls by my bra strap at the back) The shorter I keep my hair obviously the curlier it gets, when I was a kid I pretty much had a lil fro. When my hair lady does my hair after it’s blow dried it stilllllll takes about a half hour to flat hour. Personally I want him to do a full flat iron, time stamps and all, on actual thick curly hair

I’m not sure what’s causing the creasing or snagging for you but I didn’t experience this at all when I was using mine. If anyone is wondering, I have blonde hair (naturally but it’s been lightened - my bangs have also been processed and are pink) that’s incredibly thick with a relatively minimal wave pattern and it goes a little past my tiddies. If you can afford this bad boy, I say it’s 100% worth the investment. My hair is so soft and shiny and it only took about 15 minutes to do. I’m beyond impressed!! I might be able to answer the copper/titanium question, if anyone is curious.
    Titanium is obviously known for being super durable and resistant to wear (really valuable for a tool that gets a lot of use). However, it isn't very good for heating up due to relatively low conductivity. So, it uses a lot of energy. Copper, on the other hand, is a REALLY good conductor, and is very common for use in electronics and wiring for that reason. This makes it great for a cordless tool because it needs a lot less energy from a battery to heat up. It's also more malleable (read: flexible) so it has that bending capability that Brad mentioned, which can't be achieved with titanium. The main downside to copper is that it oxidizes pretty easily (the Statue of Liberty is made with copper and used to be shiny brown) so I hope the other metals mixed into the copper alloy have some resistance to oxidation.

    (Keep in mind you HAVE to blow dry your hair because it's bad to flatten on curls. The whole process wash (10-15 mins)+blow dry (15-30 mins)+flatiron (1hr 30-40 mins) takes at least an hour and 30 minutes, most of the time more than that)

    I had a friend in high school whose hair was so incredibly thick that the only thing that would straighten her hair was an iron; not a flat iron, an iron for your clothes. She would have to lay on an ironing board and her sister would iron her hair. She once tried a flat iron and it took over an hour, and it didn’t work: the hair she started off with was beginning to curl again when she was almost done. So yes, some girls do need 90 minutes to straighten their hair.
