    Hello Mr FF, love the videos!! Joined Channel last week and very much looking forward to more!! Just want to ask, do you have an opinion on/experience of vibrating IAO in the sphere of Tiphareth instead of the much longer Hebrew Divine Name? Regardie offers this option in The Art of True Healing (and in fact doesn't even give the traditional version; a modern day editor's decision I wonder?). Honestly I prefer it, because it's easier! Easier to regulate breathing smoothly. But seems kind of odd to be throwing some Greek(?!) in with all the Hebrew?! Might be a pedantic question, but curious if maybe you have tried both and felt a difference?
    Very interesting the colour attributions you show for Malkuth.. Dr. R gives russet, and I've noticed that this sphere "wants" to shine green/red/yellow/dark for me!! Nice to know I'm not just making s**t up, and now I won't try to force it to be russet any longer :-) Thanks for the great info, keep up the good work!!

    • @FoolishFishBooks
      @FoolishFishBooks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Russet, Olive, Citrine and Black are the traditional colours for Malkuth :)
      And the whole of the Christian doctrine was based on superimposing Hebrew and Greek mythology and approaches to mystery. I have Jewish blood (Jewish Grandfather on my mother's side) so I feel no qualms using the Hebrew, and I am also 100% happy with the fact that the gospels were an adaptation of the Greek Mysteries designed to accomodate the Jewish people newly assimilated into the Roman Empire (The Romans had quite effectively assimilated the Greek magical practices).
      So I have no qualms using the Greek either :)
      Great to hear you're finding your own way! ANd thank you also for your support! I deeply appreciate it!

      @davidf7406 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      OK that's very interesting. Thanks so much for the expansive and informative reply :-) Will carry on vibrating the Divine Name IAO with a clear conscience ;-)
      Re. rhythmic breath, I've found it tricky like several other commenters here.. and always found this strange, as I've meditated for years and never felt so stressed out or frustrated by a basic technique before; so so heartening to hear I'm not the only one!! Very glad I've found your work and this community 😀👍

      "the Gospels were an adaptation of the Greek Mysteries designed to accommodate the Jewish people into the Roman Empire" Perhaps you could mention a good author/book to start looking into this? Have read a little about early Christianity:B Ehrman/R Smoley/K Johnson /L Gardner(!) etc. but so far haven't come across a good exposition of this idea, be very grateful if you could point me in the right direction! Thank you so much! I've been practicing the Qabalistic Cross, Middle Pillar and LBRP using this advanced method for almost a year, which I learned from Damien Echols' book "High Magick". Whenever I practice the Middle Pillar I've noticed a very distinct vibration in each ear as the energy travels past up and down my sides, then both ears as the energy travels front and back -- I'm left with a lovely feeling afterward, which I very much enjoy. Feels like love! Now I know to connect the sephirot and appropriate Archangels to the Middle Pillar. Thanks again!

    In Damien Echol's audiobook he talks about at the end of the middle pillar, when you're envisioning the light swirling around you, to envision it blasting back up through the bottom of the pillar, out the top of your head and watching that energy rain down around you as if it were raining or you had become a fountain. But this video was still really helpful for me! Especially the part about timing the movement of the energy with your breath. Very cool :)

      Israel Regardie is the original author- he explains the fountain and in old alchemical theurgy art it’s depicted as a palm tree and the leaves being the head part and the roots being from the feet. Very cool. I don’t appreciate Damien as I do understand whom he is and what he’s done and the simple monetary aim of his own plundered version of the practices he sells.

    • @Supya67
      @Supya67 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@caracopland710 I kind of doubt you've read one of his books based off of this message, Damien gives proper credit to Regardie and the Golden Dawn, the version in his first book is very simplified I'll give you that but I don't think theres anything wrong with that, especially with the knowledge that he isn't the original source, If the "what he's done" thing is in reference to the west memphis 3 murders/trials, you should look into it a bit more, it is pretty much the most famous case of mistrial and false conviction in U.S. history none of the 3 men convicted committed any crimes, and the most likely killer (the father of the kids) has been proven (but not convicted) via forensic evidence, lots of great stuff on it like the HBO documentary. You're more than welcome to not be a fan of course, his books are super introductory.

      It's a good practice to do, it can be done outside of ceremonial magic too. I use my arms and "guide" a visualisation of energy following the path of the arms as I circle them around myself (like a half circle for each arm, the flat bit being the middle pillar). It's apparently a practice from tai chi and I do this when I get up in the morning.

    Great Work and some awesome advice, thank you. One technique I use while doing the Middle Pillar is to place the tip of my tongue to the roof of my mouth just behind the top row of teeth. I can't remember where I originally got the idea because I have been doing it for so long now, but I have read it as an instruction in various Eastern esoteric books, particularly in meditation practices of Taoist monks. It is supposed to help with the stopping of unwanted thoughts by connecting the energy pathways, or something like that. It does seem to work, but whether this is because of some meridian channels being connected, or because the technique actually encourages concentration, is something that could entail an endless debate I expect.

    In his “Eight Lectures on Yoga” (probably his most “normal” and easily digestible work) Crowley suggests a 12 second breath, for all 4 stages. 12 in, hold for 12, 12 out, hold for 12. He then suggests extending these times as much as one can handle. I find it incredibly difficult, as most probably would, but I do find that it is possible to increase the comfortable numbers with practice. He claims certain Yogi’s who practice this sort of breathing can reach a point where they breathe only once per minute, though it is not clear if he means the whole cycle lasts a minute, or if a single inward breath lasts a minute, or if you only begin to breathe in once each minute. It’s definitely been effective knowledge for me, though I typically practice 4-6 second intervals and aim to slow my count (along with my heart beat) instead of counting for longer. Counting longer intervals than I can handle seems to add stress and increase my heart rate, which is definitely not conducive to effective practice.

    The GD left/right circulation of the energy around the body seems to coïncides somewhat with / follow some of the digestive flow pattern within the human body. That being said and interestingly so (in my humble opinion), the front/back cycle is moving around a reverse direction of what asian/taoïst traditions most often teach, that is, upward along the frontal part of the body, downwards and along the spine, etc., until it reaches the ground. Something to explore...

    I'm relatively new to this practice. I learned about the circular pathways and practiced those but find myself resistant to them. I do a different visualization now. I draw from the highest source to the deepest earth as I breathe in and have it pass from the top to Kether visualizing white light, to Daath visualizing silver, to Tiphareth visualizing gold/yellow. Simultaneously from the heart of the earth, I draw it up to Malkuth, visualizing dark green, to Yesod, visualizing purple, then to Tiphareth and gold, meeting the other shaft of light. To do this at the same time is really hard, particularly with the colors, but I'm getting better at it the more I do it. I hold at Tiphareth for a count of four, then breath out the gold of Tiphareth to expand and compass all of me and beyond -including planet earth that I'm standing on as per the Kaballistic cross visualization so that I've essentially enveloped myself and the planet earth in Tiphareth light. Am I still getting the benefits or should I go back to visualizing the circular pathway of light?

    I use a balance board. It’s a circular disk that’s raised a couple inches off the ground with contact from the disk to the ground being very small, forcing whoever uses it into a space of have little or no resistance. I use it EVERY DAY because if I use it for about 20 to 30 minutes in a session (I’m addicted) it actually releases 100% of resistance because if there were resistance you couldn’t stay upright. It basically makes you become the middle pillar automatically.

    In addition to circulating the energy I like the method of having the energy shoot up from the feet through all the sephiroth out of the head like a fountain. Then the "light dust/most" saturates your entire aura and also inside the body. I imagine the light penetrating my organs and even to the cellular and atomic level to where a cell or atom turns gold. Then my visual backs out to see my body and aura saturated with shimmery golden light particles. I do this three times at the end, for me very invigorating!

      I use this technique too and it is extremely invigorating. I do like your idea of the light penetrating the organs to the atomic level where the atom turns to gold, that is such a brilliant idea to visualise and keep in mind while doing that bit, I'll certainly have to try it. As you will probably know, the chemical symbol for gold is "Au" which comes from the Latin "aurum" meaning "gold". Etymologically speaking, this all points to divine reference, like "or" being the base of words in several languages meaning two things, "gold" and "light". I can't remember all of the words, but French for gold is "Or" and Hebrew for light is "Oroh. These things link to other words like "Aura", which is often visualised as a golden glow of light, as a few have mentioned here. There is also "Aurora" who is a deity of the dawn in Roman mythology. Basically, anything to do with light and gold could have its origin in divine reference. I forgot about "Fire" which also has its link to "aur" and "Ur" the primordial spiritual fire, but I will stop here otherwise my post will go on and on because you can keep going with this.

    • @merrilyduffy
      @merrilyduffy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@darrenscriven3963 I like the breaking down of the words to their sounds. My Kundalini yoga teacher said the sound "ong" is what created the universe, which we chant in mantra form to align with that. So "au" seems to be in the same family sound/vibration-wise, hence the spiritual connection. Fascinating.

    If you want to take this out of the realm of imagination/ritual, then you’ve got to focus on the light: actually connecting with it, actually drawing it down through your central channel. The light is termed “Ohr Ein Sof” / “Aur En Soph” (traditional Hebrew term). Try asking your higher self, or God, to facilitate your reception of an energy initiation for this light. You will know immediately if you get connected to it. Once you’ve been connected you can pull it down from kether as a tangible energy. It will awaken and develop all those centers automatically. It will rise up again automatically once it reaches malkuth. Focus on connecting to and drawing down this light energy, the Ohr En Sof, for real results. If you can make the connection and draw it down, it will totally transform you. (Note: it’s so strong, you won’t be able to draw it all the way to the feet right off the bat; at first maybe you can only tolerate a few seconds - that’s to be expected. Next day five seconds, next day 10 - little by little you will be able to tolerate it for longer and draw it further down, till after a few weeks or a month you can draw it all the way down to the feet. This will totally transform your energy field and permanently raise your vibration. Step out of the realm of the symbolic and imagination/visualisation-based methodology to work with the “light of the infinite” as a tangible energy. Thanks and best wishes - forgive the unsought advice! (But it is good advice!)

    What O do is learn from you, Damien Echols, & Jason Louv. But it's your video's that get me started because your a natural teacher. I reference with Damien to try and perfect my art. I'm a year in to actual practice now, Qabalistic cross & LBRP so far, I'm currently tweaking my pronunciation and vibration techniques and starting to memorise the middle pillar.

    The point with the breathing bothers me for quite some time now. The „effects“, the tingling in fingers and toes, are nothing more than just body reactions, biologically explainable. I just don’t get the „metaphysical“ concept behind it 😔 Working with the Wim Hof method though.

    Adding breathing to any physical or ritual practice is critical IMO. It binds the visualization to the body even when still, bringing the mental activity into the physical and making it much easier to perform and to remember.

    Hey bud,
    Thank you for your content. I've watched a few of your videos now. You're very good at explaining the ritual methods in a clear way. I almost feel like I can see their four dimensional shape. I'm writing this comment today with two purposes in mind. The first purpose is simply to state that I don't believe that Da'ath should be included in the Sepheroth. It's clear to me that its existence and significance are something that can't be ignored. However even though that may be true adding Da'ath to the Tree of life completely throws off the symmetry of the whole. Its unnecessary for the reconciliation of the pairs of opposites that manifest themselves in/as the middle pillar. I believe it will create imbalances that will waste energy and lead to confusion if folks keep trying to force it onto The Tree. The second reason I'm commenting today is because I was hoping you would use your amazing explaining skills to walk us through the Ritual of the Rosy Cross. What are the major advantages of using it as opposed to the LBRP? I would really appreciate it.
    Thank you
    Matt :)

    Eventually Magicians may want to superimpose the whole Tree over their body, use the Divine and Angelic Names of each of the Sephiroth (and Da'ath) and draw LVX down though each. For interested Thelemites, the Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn uses Names from 777 for the Thelemic MPR- Ptah, Tahuti, Ra, Anpu, Seb and a cool Circulation of Light called the Talismatic Atom.

    Hi Foolish Fish! First off, I love your videos so much. I realize this is an older one, but I hope you see it and can answer my question.
    So I've been performing the Middle Pillar for years now, and it's by far the ritual I mess around with and change the most when it comes to visualizations and feeling various effects. After watching your two videos, I experimented cycling the energy as you described: through the soles of my feet and through my body to Kether, and when going up the center channel visualizing and feeling the energy as a swirling tempest rising upwards. This was different to how I've always done it, where I would cycle the energy around my body/aura and not through it, and then at the center channel would imagine a soft rising light pushing upwards.
    I really like your method. The energy feels much easier to raise visualizing the way you do. However, it also has been giving me this light headed, almost "over charged" feeling in my head for the past week that I've been doing it that way? I definitely felt effects when I performed it my old way as well, but not quite this strongly. Have you ever felt this in your experience with the Middle Pillar? I'm torn between wanting to continue doing it this way because it feels more potent, and going back to how I used to because it felt easier to manage physically.

    • @FoolishFishBooks
      @FoolishFishBooks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The effects you describe are consistent with my experience.
      Naturally you should feel free to perform the ritual the way that feels best to you. These are only guidelines.

    I had something happen to me years ago that I still have so many questions for and zero answers to. I used to meditate but I kinda stopped because of it. One day while meditated something “guided” me to place one hand on my root and another on my crown, I felt a surge of energy, kinda like whirlwind inside of me. I honestly don’t remember how everything happened and in what order, but days later, I believe, I felt like my nose opened up and it spread outwards on my face, felt like I was going in through something. Next thing you know I felt static above my head and there was a freaking voice inside my head, it was like my thoughts but louder. It would tell me things, some turned out to be true, others not so much. I felt burning going up my spine and I felt like if my skin was burning sometimes. The voice wouldn’t let me sleep so I did the craziest shit, I made myself a foil hat and that helped. To this day I don’t know what I experienced, but I do know I was an inch away from ending up in a mental ward. So many things happened to me, I wish I could have an explanation for it.

    After the final spiral up wrapping the body, I also send up a stream of energy from malkuth up and through the 7 chakras in the shape of a serpent of light (representing Kundalini). After years of chakra work, I because dependent on chakra stimulation so since switching to ceremonial magick I've had to incorporate little things like this into my rituals.
