Naa, Jung was tripping, what means growing to heaven to you? The glory of the world ain't the kingdom of heaven. Jung was beta and taken by new agers and other people that think what he said was true and really deep, just like Jordan Peterson nowadays. Those are the wolfs dressed in sheep clothes. Look at what happened to Crowley, guy had a place were people stripped off of morals and got into weird rituals and even bestiality, the heroine, I mean that is hell and the guy was never in heaven a.k.a. with the father for sure. So if you believe dumb stuff, yourselves are to blame, cause wickedness is f-ing you up.

Do you want adventure? Play dungeons and dragons or an rpg or whatever, at least you know it is fantasy. Believing these things is just for the ego and it is a path down of course at least that is for sure and if you have to suffer till you get it cause you have big dunkey ears, not real ears, well... it is just playing games but it is something really dumb and wicked like if you have ears, real ears not dunkey ears this will make sense to you. Instead of trying to manipulate the material world or whatever dumb thing like that with the power of the wil of your wicked selvesl or the will of your daddy satan who is behind get a job people, work hard merit what you earn and make good choices, smart choices instead of wasting your time in the obscure of the ocult is dumb.

Don't limit yourself! 🙏Having experienced poltergeist myself, telekinesis is indeed possible. I was a little child when it happened. things move, the door knob rattling by itself, I was scared back then. If you think about it, the way it was done was channeled through fear, the low energy, which feeds the ghost/daimon in the presence. So the daimon asked for energy, I gave, then it makes it happened. just not as intended and chaotic. now the other way is to work on high energy, the good energy.
Telepathy also happened in many occasion and countless of many stories out there, I was told that my grandma once got a feeling that my father was in trouble and then proceeded to see him immediately. It seems that when my father was in trouble he unconsciously called grandma. so the groundwork is there. also the phenomenon of jinx, when a group of people say the same thing together.

Your definition of Magick is useful for the fantasy novel I'm writing. My fictional world has Thaumaturgy, or scientific magic that works like your definition and according to rational laws, but there's also Theurgy, or divine magic, which is essentially miracle working which channels holy and divine power. Alchemists in this world knew the secrets to unify the two arts to great effect long ago, but the secret has been lost.
The main character eventually learns from the ancient Prophet of the Mountain, a millenia-old Alchemist, that there is no clear distinction between the two, and both are different ways of understanding the same thing expressed differently, being both God and Nature. Thaumaturgy/scientific magic cultivates understanding of the natural world, which is part of God. The universe is part of God, and God is part of the universe, but God is not limited to the material world, and thus scientific magic cannot account for a complete understanding of God. Theurgy requires unifying one's will with the will and powers of various divine forces and forces not yet understood by the current framework of natural sciences.
The main character thus becomes responsible for a revival of true ancient alchemy, and is the apostle of the Prophet of the Mountain.

I liked your distinction between science and magic as it avoids the trap of seeing magic as what science is yet to discover. Not least as I am increasingly seeing science and the scientific method as the hegemony of greed. But then this places science as a codification of some aspects of the darkness.

Hello my friend i won’t to shear a fort about your suspicions about the scientific method. I think your observations about the current state of science are true to some extent. However, the origins are not in science. The scientific method is neither good or bad nor black or white. It consists of a tool set of methods that in combination are insanely effective at detecting patterns in our material reality with the ultimate goal of fathoming truth. Science is in a way amoral because ethics is not a real criterion of science. This is also what makes science such a powerful tool, it is neutral and the knowledge gained can theoretically be replicated by anyone. However, this does not mean that the people who practice science are neutral. Just as you can use science to cure disease, you can also use it to build nuclear weapons, and ironically, in my experience, most scientists are really terrible at finding resources. Which is probably the biggest problem in science today. How are you going to neutrally and openly search for truth when you are chronically underpaid which the people who work in research usually are and the people who fund you are really only interested in profits? It is simply not possible and so knowledge creates with the bitter reality in which profits and power conservation power unfortunately play an important role than truth and the well-being of the general public.

Your a-ha moment with tantra is 100% correct (in my experience). I started in western magick then moved to hinduism and now tantra and I noticed exactly what you mentioned

  • @christygrattan6847
    @christygrattan6847 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I found your later theory very interesting and certainly possible, especially considering the multiplicity of tantric schools and different schemes of chakras! To me it looks like a large part of the problem of defining magick is the question of how we can talk about something experiential and non-discursive using language. I read an excellent book Readling Neoplatonism: Non-Discursive thinking in Plotinus, Proclus and Damascius’ which relates to this.
The author Sara Rappe engages with how the Neoplatonists appear at odds with themselves in perpetuating a vast textual component when the ‘meat’ of the philosophy is necessarily beyond it. It was refreshing to see someone in modern western academic Philosophy even take on this point of view, never mind defend it! It’s also very accessible for the informed newcomer, so for anyone interested in Magick or Philosophy more broadly I recommend!
I think a problem is that only now are we getting cross-cultural perspectives in the academy, which have a lot of catching up to do with the cross-cultural power of the internet. The advantage is the democratisation of knowledge, the disadvantage is the lack of critical oversight. (Of course for oversight we’d need overseers which opens the question of their biases and the justification of their position, off the rabbit hole goes…)
One would expect academia to be enlightened in its dealing with other cultures, however, In my experience taking a course exploring Nagarjuna’s Buddhist epistemology, the ‘charitable’ approach was to save him from being a ‘paradox monger’, in other words to claim he actually made any intelligible analytic claims at all - the assumption being that if it didn’t it was somehow deficient. Of course it’s fair for analytic philosophy to seek what gems might be hiding elsewhere which are novel for its own purposes, but it seemed so hardened to a particular method that it was like someone’s football running into a garage, that person then getting their football and leaving without having realised the garage was labelled ‘free gold bullions’. I’m overjoyed to see the growth in scholarship in these fields but also, and even more so, frustrated when I’m reminded just how limited it still is.
Anyway, hopefully some sort of charitable equilibrium will emerge more strongly in the scholarly world and allow for the useful historical research to take place as part of a truly international and trans-cultural community. Then, the task of what such knowledge means can be taken up by various fields also operating with an emphasis on being truly charitable to such diverse maps of reality, rather than to just bandage up what’s useful for defending X or Y axiom, cherrypicking shiny ideas for our ‘western’ theories much like shadowy past of many museum artefacts.
Once again, my undying gratitude for your work, research and reflection. I sense the humility and consideration you take when presenting these ideas and much more is needed in the world! LVX from Belfast!

Greetings and thank for all of your work in producing wonderful content. There definitely is a thread that connects the West and the East but it must predate Tantra. Hindu Tantra developed independently from Neoplatonic Theurgy and bare much resemblance. If we take the Chaldean Oracles as the forefather then we may see an ancient link via the Zoroastrians and since the Vedas and the Zoroastrian Avesta share and ancient Indo Aryan root, there may be something there.

Magic is the conscious use of semiotic processes to persuade patterns of acausal ordering to reorder according to desire. Reality consists of causal and acausal orderings (you can call them forces if you want) that weave the patterns of thought, matter and energy. Causal ordering, we know, but acausal ordering derives from the fundamental unpredictable nature of freewill which exists as a field (the keroi or κ-field) underlying everything including quantum interactions. This is strongly implied by the proof of the “Strong Free Will Theorem” (John H. Conway and Simon B. Kochen). Reality operates on choice and the universe we see sits on top of this. Causal ordering is predictable and mechanical; Acausal ordering is unpredictable (not random) and semiotic in nature. All minds are semiotic processes, and all semiotic processes are minds. The field of freewill underpinning reality is a field of semiotic processes which one can persuade with a constructed semiotic process (i.e., a spell).

My favorite spoon-bender, OK, the only one I know that actually does this amazing focus energy work with objects consistently enough is Lior Suchard, but I think it's the same type of work. And I think all of these types of these things are actually simple, we just don't intend or focus energy enough or right or have the belief to do them. Levitation stories have always about doing them in groups... --more power perhaps? Not on Jay Leno yet, like Lior who blows everyones minds. Most of it's simple physics... right? There's a different interpretation of Chaos magic that seems to have arisen from the Chans. It's like a deification of Chaos, but the practical application of the process comes in forming one's intentions out of the natural chaos within the world. Like, in order to effect their will, they first require a situation of absolute chaos to be taking place from which they will be able to force their will.

nothing is impossible. we assume physics works the same way everywhere as it seems to locally, but we can't prove it, and we've only ultimately been observing the world for a few millennia. to me the distinction between "impossible" and "improbable" is not helpful. "impossible" only means very very improbable.
also, i do think that some of our best descriptions of how magic actually works come from fiction. specifically (although there are many more) i'm talking about:
    1) the craft sequence, by max gladstone, in which it is understood that belief has mass and can warp reality, and that the ultimate foundation of reality is simply agreements between actors, i.e. the concept of consensus reality. so in these books, contracts are depicted as being more "real" than the material world.
    2) jonathan strange and mr norrell, in which it is understood that everything - including fairly abstract concepts like Time or Darkness - is alive, and can be communicated with, and will help you if you ask in the right way.
    3) the last unicorn, by peter s. beagle, which doesn't really provide an overarching theory to how magic works but does drop some powerful tidbits, such as "true magicians know that everything is teetering on the cusp of becoming something else" and "real magic can only be summoned by offering up your own liver [as opposed to one you stole or bought] and not expecting to get it back." in other words, you have to have skin in the game; you have to be willing to let something go to summon something new, and that something has to have genuine value to you.

Also not all Vajrayana schools trace their lineage back to the Saivite tradition. Scholars (mostly Japanese) believe there to be to streams of Esoteric Buddhism, one that was developed by the yogis of the charnal grounds and one developed in the university of nalanda. The latter was transmitted to China and later Japan via the mandala of the two realms and the mahavairocana sutra and the former was transmitted to Tibet.
Point being the essence of what we call Tantra today was shared by several traditions although Tantra was the most open about these esoteric practices.

From a Chaos Magick perspective, the weight of belief that telekinesis is impossible is too strong to ever be able to make it possible with any consistency. There might be validity to claims of it happening as a fluke, but it runs counter to all that we know through experience about our own existence, and the skepticism which drives you to attempt to repeat an experiment is on its own enough to return you to the belief that it is impossible. It is much easier to make things happen that seem plausible.

Well. that was a good one m8. oh man, I urge anyone who has not already, to take a good look at the intro to the Kabalion chapter 6, the introductory paragraph starting with the phrase "The Half-wise". it is a very good paragraph to Memorize and keep close to your mind at all times. The Kabalion in general is a good place to start for anyone interested in magic of any kind. in my humble experience, The "impossible" is a series of collective and personal boundaries in place due to the momentum of the collective (The All), and to transcend these boundaries is possible, however it is more dangerous than most can realize without direct experience of coming close to doing so.
in other words, it may seem "Cool" from your current state of mind (conscious vibration) to be able to lift or move an object with your Mind only (telekinesis), however, what one does not usually realize is that to break that boundary requires and elicits a change in what you are that cannot coexist with your previous self in any practical way. so whats not possible IMO is the way these things are depicted, using harry potter as an example, where they are "normal" so to speak, people who can just throw bolts of light out of wands and move things around and teleport and such. that is not how it works. to reach that level of transcending the boundaries in place (which is possible) will take completely altering and refining what you are on a fundamental level. and that makes it, IMHO, nearly impossible to coexist in this bound reality with other parts of yourself who accept and use these boundaries to have a limited experience of "Being Joe Smith" as opposed to the reality that we are all the One Mind. The boundaries and impossibility's are here to keep us safe and allow us to have this experience as limited beings who can interact with each other. but they are not fundamentally real in any way.
this is just for all those with dreams of fantasy magic. keep it in fantasy, write a book, make a cartoon, (or a song in my case) thats where it belongs for good reason. i wouldn't want to live in a world where people had the ability to channel lighting and crush objects with our thoughts alone, we do bad enough things with the physical ways we've figured out to achieve those ends. a wizard battle, much like real warfare, looks exciting on screen, in reality it would be terrifying for all involved. accept and appreciate your limitations and transcend them slowly and with reason, integrity and purpose, and out of necessity, not want or desire, or even worse blind curiosity. The phrase "Curiosity Killed the Cat" and the phrase "Be careful what you wish for" both exist for very good reason..
btw, Saturn made me say all that.. lol "wink"
    Balance.
    much love brother Fish

Having experienced telekinesis myself on several occasions, I have to say that it's not *always* a parlor trick. An extreme improbability, yes, but definitely not an impossibility. However, I do still think that that's a great disclaimer to put out there for those new to the whole concept of real magick -- what "it" is, and what expectations one can realistically have.

    • @TheAether-kq7mq

Yes. Having experienced poltergeist myself, telekinesis is indeed possible.

I know this sounds crazy but why does this sound so much like Dynamis in FFXIV?
Like in the world of FFXIV their are two distinct forms of energy. Aether, which is what most of hydaelyn(the star that the game takes place on) is made out of, it's observable and measurable and can be used for anything. Memories and Souls are created by using Aether and when we die all that energy returns to the life stream, to be recycled and turned into something new. Despite Magic existing in FFXIV it functions more akin to a science with how it's studied.
Dynamis or Akasa, is more intangible as it's a form of energy that is fueled by one's emotions and is rather difficult or harder to tap into, due to how esoteric it is. It isn't as powerful as Aether BUT the rest of the universe comprises of Dynamis, with Aether being a very very very minor thing in the grand scale of the universe.
    Just a parallel I noticed.

I fell into the “self help industry” full on for a couple yrs and my subjective opinion on the subject is that when I find that desire to share, teach or “help” others… I look within and find a lot for me to work on about myself.
I have friends who are shamans and I also have friends who went to shamanic schools to learn to “help” people. In my experience, the ones who are powerful are the ones who were just called to be available and the ones who went out for training have no real powers at all. Quite the opposite. They can actually cause a lot of destruction.
A friend also warned me regarding those with intentions to “help” that when you encounter them you are also encountering the energy they put out that others need help. That somethings “wrong” with them. To think one has reached a point of “arrival” and is now ready to direct others can be some serious humbug that causes more disturbance than actual “help”.
Like a flashlight aimed at a wall in a dark room, if you move the light away from the wall you will notice the circle of light get bigger. You can also notice that as this circle grows bigger, so does equally the circumference of darkness around it. Suggesting that the more we learn, simultaneously we become aware of how much more we don’t know. Your “student” will almost always be your “teacher” but just being available with no intent can grant you an opportunity to be of much more value to someone’s journey (and your own) than having an intention to “help”.
I know that was a long winded subjective opinion. I just feel deeply that the last thing the world needs is someone else trying to show others “the way”. What Dennis is able to do here on this channel is quite rare. I think it requires Jedi level craft and if it’s meant to be will happen naturally. My 10cents! 🤦🏻🤣

Another thought provoking video. The day I knew I'd be a magician was when I was forced to go out with friends to a stag party. I found I had the ability to turn beer into urea which poured out onto my compost heap. The worms loved it and gave back first rate compost. I was then inspired to try Chiantified urea and so one. One day I woke face down in the warm compost on a winter's night. Those spoilt little worms had kept me from hypothermia. I went back to squash and tea after that but had found a friend in the Earth element. Sometimes stupidity and that serendipity moment are necessary to make real evolution. Re-iterating, an interesting video. Have you considered travelling lectures with oodles of comedy. As a brilliant black comedian (I met in Birmingham) phrased it.'EDUTAINMENT'.

if there is zero phenomenon as a result of your magical practices
then it's nothing more then warm fuzzy cosplay,
but hey, if that makes you happy more power to you

@@FoolishFishBooks I like your channel great content .. but there comes a point in your life when you realize you can't read your way to a specific end ... or the other ... "I woke up this morning ... praise the Lord" or "I just got the job I was totally qualified for, thank you St. Expedite" ... this is my personal opinion, if a magical practice isn't verified by a concrete result, then it's just make believe

Like he said, science studies the physical aspect of our reality. You can't prove consciousness in a lab. But it's proven that our consciousness can literally alter physical objects , change dna molecules in the body and in other people as well. If you look at it scientifically, our thoughts generate energy and can alter the molecules of our physical things...

I’m with you. I haven’t finished the vid yet (17:03) but so far this just seems like a primer on world religions. But apparently lots of other folks feel otherwise.
