Mislabeled VGG wipe-on clear coat!! Can we fix it without ruining our patina?

This week we try a couple of products we've never used before. One goes exceptionally well, and the other goes horribly wrong. Roll-in Bedliner and Vice Grip Garage wipe-on clear coat; Which one works and which one doesn't?
