Thank you for addressing the tunes and mentioning that the Screamin Eagle tuner canned tunes are designed around catalyzed Screamin Eagle exhaust. Worst case scenario is using the SE tuner and doing an auto tune with the exhaust. Really impressed how good it sounds and runs without any tuning done at all.
Great video. I recently installed a Wood 22XE cam, Screaming Eagle 55mm aluminum intake, Screaming Eagle Ventilator Extreme breather, and a race only S&S Sidewinder 2/1 exhaust system on my 2017 Ultra Limited 107 ci M8. I installed a canned tune from Fuel Moto via a Dyna Vision tuner. When I arrived at the speed shop for a dyno tuning session, my canned tune was yielding 99hp and 104ft lbs. After the dyno tuning session, my bike left the speed shop with 113hp and 118ft lbs. So, the moral to the story is that if you go beyond State 1, you really should spring for a quality dyno tuning if your budget can accommodate it. Yes, my canned tune did bring the stock figures (77hp and 99ft lbs up), but in no way was it providing the maximum gains possible. I really like the exhaust system you installed, it looks and sounds great!!!
This is the case I’ve experienced with any tuning whether its cars, diesel trucks, sport bikes, etc. Awesome you were able to squeeze so much more out with quality tuning. Not to mention better conditions for your engine!
Love the pipe. I was going to buy this for my 22 RG ST then I bought the new 24 RG like you. I totally agree with you on that bend with the Bassani and Sawicki pipes. I bought the bike with a stage 2 already done and it unfortunately came with the Bassani pipe. Once more companies come out with aftermarket cams I’ll change out the SE and with the SPC pipe. Keep up with the great videos.
Right on!! I test rode an ST and loved it but these new 24’s are just so much better. I love how much character the exhaust brought out of the bike too. Can’t wait to do a cam!
@ it’s very quiet, very light, comfortable and no wind buffeting. It’s the Shoei X15. It’s the latest and greatest helmet to be used in the Moto GP world. Very good cooling ventilation as well.
Thundermax has always been my go-to. The auto-tuning function always has my bikes running the best everywhere right away. Something you cant get with a dyno tune. It only makes sense to have your bike running the absolute best it can anywhere and everywhere
Looks and sounds amazing. I got some cheap slip ons so i didnt have to ride so quiet on my 24 SG. But you may have just pointed me in the direction of what i didnt know i was looking for haha. Tuning is the issue yes. I am looking into a heavy breather also, so i definitely need a tune if i do both.
Slip ones are a great option for sure, the route I’m going won’t be for everyone, the sound and performance is going to be killer by the time I’m done with all this but my warranty will be hard to cash in on if I ever have to
Thank you for watching!! I highly recommend, the 24’s are a substantial upgrade from the previous generation. I test rode a 23 st and this is night and day better.

I have the exhaust installed on my 19 road glide Woods 22Xe cam if you wanna be quiet you can and on the highway cruising 60-70 it’s alittle louder then stock. But when you wanna twist that throttle she wakes up and screams!
I love the lines weigh the headers, definitely clean and classic. Can’t wait to do some good bottom and top end work to squeeze some good numbers out of it!
Badass set up i bought my 24 road glide shortly after i seen your videos …i also just bought the same exhaust from sp concepts just waiting for it to show up…i used to rock thunder header on my dyna which i still enjoy ,but i wanted to try something new ..i like the way your bike sounds with the turnpike exhaust im sure its even better in person. I’m located here in vaccaville California and I haven’t seen too many new bikes with this set up just yet . The guy i talked too said no need for a tune that the bikes ecm will do its own adjustments but im def going to hit up a Dyno once the wideband tunes become readily available . Dope vids keep it up
Yep you and I are in the same boat. Soon as tuning is available we’re going full send. Congrats on the bike and pipe, it’s definitely better in person!🍻
You know you're supposed to clean stainless before you start no matter what. I used rubbing alcohol and it worked just fine cleaning stainless before the first heat cycle. But they make a great exhaust system. Had mine for almost 2 years with 20k on my exhaust
Nice job, looks & sounds great. Did you run Harley's latest ECM update(s)? I noticed towards the end of your video you kept getting a repetitive message on your infortainment about running Apple CarPlay with the pack-talk edge. That is happening to me now all of the time after running the update. The message comes up constantly and is very irritating. It didn't happen to me before the update. Also, I think you should get some saddlebag speakers and upgrade the audio since the pipes are now speaking. The black speakers on the white saddlebags will look sharp. Don't you love it when we spend your money? :)
I haven’t run any updates since February 6th. I’ve just been riding the heck out of it and not having any issues or stressing myself out over little infotainment stuff here and there. I’m going to be looking to shave some weight on the bike so I think I’ll end up just doing really good speakers and amp in the fairing.
Thanks for the excellent, detailed video. I had the SPC 2-1 on my LRST and really liked it. Considering putting one on my 24 RG as well but we can't even get the SE tuner here in CA. May just do slip-ons. Sorry if I missed it but do you know approximately how much weight was saved? Your t-bar setup looks dope as well!
The bike’s running fine without a tune. I’d say run the pipe and keep the stock tune. Factory warranty, California is happy besides yearly emission testing and you’re good to go. Sorry I didn’t weigh the stock and SPC setup. It’s a negligible amount I’m sure but it’s probably a few lbs.
@@OffWeekGarage Right on, thanks for the feedback. My dealer said I'm fine with an SPC pipe as long as I don't mess with the intake or tune. Lot of the employees there run the SPCs.
Thanks for tuning in!! Yes they offer heat shields and I think I’ll end up getting them, I prefer to leave them off but I’ve had 2 buddies burn their pants or boots on the pipe while test riding it now so I think I should probably just buy them. I just wont be able to go back to without the heat shields without some sort of scratches and stuff so I’m debating which I prefer more.
@@OffWeekGarage Thanks for the reply! I would want the heat shields if just to keep the heat down. Thats the main reason i got rid of the cat on my exhaust. The heat was unbelievable. Anyway the pipe looks and sounds great!
For sure, good tip, I’ve been looking and it’s been fine. I still may buy the SE tuner if I’m able to pull it off and recalibrate it to my buddies bike to sell to him. But if not I’ll just hold out!
@@OffWeekGarage update if you do. Curious if it actually runs better. Are you feeling anything different since exhaust in terms drive ability and slow sleep maneuvers?
@OffWeekGarage once you tune your bike with the SE tuner, it marries it to the bike and becomes useless for other bikes. I've read of people cracking it so it's like a new tuner but its few and far between. I've been down that road and have a SE street tuner sitting in my garage as a paper weight lol.
my bros -- I used to be considered a loser, too. But no longer. Just scored a Honda Minimoto; cherry. Cut the exhaust pipe off. Getting looks from the chicks; along with quite a few guys. Lov'n being one of the cool guys.
That’s the first time I’ve seen the car play split screen with google maps while someone’s driving. That looks awesome. BTW- do you still need to dynotune it?
Thank you sir!! That clip was at Schweitzer, but if you go down to one of my first TH-cam videos from years ago, that was our trip to Brighton, absolutely loved the backcountry out there!!
Just got mine on. Def not as loud as I thought it would be but does have a nice tone. Has your muffler turned the same color as your head pipes yet? Mine have darkened but the muffler still looks pretty stainless. Wondering how long it took yours to completely match up in color or if it even has yet?
She sounds great . Are you putting the heat covers back on ? That’s a great car show you stopped at ? What’s the temps out there in Washington? I’m on the east coast . We are only in the 60’s during the day cold at night with frost warnings .
That was admittedly a tiny car show but there were some nice rigs. Our weather is comparable. I spent some time for work in St. Michael’s Maryland, I enjoy the east coast a lot.
Did you wipe it down before starting , damn that is loud and sweet but it sounds like it needs a tuner you can hear when you blip the throttle. I have a CVO ST and i went with the Khrome werks slip ons that match the black chrome because you don't need a tuner and sounds killer. in the future i am going to get the jackpot stainless exhaust when Dynojet comes out with a tuner.
I sure did wipe it down with soap and water before startup, it burned in perfectly!🙌 I will be doing tuning as soon as it’s available, looking forward to it.
Because I like the black trim package but don’t want the whole bike to be black. Everything starts to blend in. Some texture adds the character I like and the stainless exhaust is a killer, timeless look.
Question… you know the twitchyness the throttle has.. hit a bump and bike wants to come out from under ya.. well after changing exhaust.. do you still have that? Or is it not as bad?
The twitchiness is the same with the exhaust and is all in the engine mapping since these bikes are throttle by wire. You can write a custom map, use all sport mode settings for the power, engine braking, etc, but then turn the throttle sensitivity down. That way you get all the power but better ride ability!
I’m considering SP exhaust for my new RG CVO ST. As far as I can tell, SP doesn’t have heat shields. Is it pretty bearable without heat shields from your experience?

I appreciate the question and I actually don’t have an answer for you on that I’m sorry, I torqued by feel with the gaskets compressing, haven’t run into any exhaust leaks, that’s all I can tell you..
Sounds Great !!! Hey when did you get that windshield ? Is it the Harley one 10 inch? Im curious how you like it . And also how tall are you ? hahhah sorry for all the questions i have the same bike thanks man
No problem brotha I’m here to help!! Yes it’s the 10” windsplitter from Harley. I needed it for long road trips coming up, it’ll get me by until Klockworks comes out with their 9” sport flare. I’m 5’10”, 30” inseam!! The 10” shield does a fantastic job sending almost all the wind up and over the helmet. This shield will remain my multistate shield.
Nice pipe but makes to much noise for use in europe where i live. Whe use/need more and more exhausts with controlable sound. Examples as Kesstech or Jekyll & Hyde. These aren’t cheap… 😭
I don’t usually use the radio. I have upgraded speakers in my helmet. I may upgrade the bike’s stereo eventually but it’s low on my priority list currently.
@@Bamlydean I use a Sena 10S with upgraded JBL speakers. I have since upgraded to stage 2 speakers since I needed to upgrade amp for my tour pack speakers. That video is coming next!
How much heat do you feel on your legs without the factory heat shields? I had a 2014 Street Bob with a Vance and Hines Pro Pipe (no heat shield) that made my bike unrideable in any situation except the highway at 55+ mph. I'm also curious how much weight savings there is with the SP Concepts exhaust.
@@DucDNA I don’t have an answer on weight savings, few lbs I’m sure. As for the heat it’s much better since the heads are now center cooled, the egt’s and heat off put are MUCH less
SP Concepts told me their exhaust weighs 14 lbs. Would you happen to have your stock exhaust to weigh it? I was also wanting to know if th SP exhaust eliminates the catalytic converter? If it does, that should eliminate some of the heat coming off but I’d still add the heat shields if I buy it. Update: Yes, it does eliminate it. That should help with eliminating some heat too.
@@OffWeekGarageI agree. I did header, pipes, cam and tuner 2 months after I bought it. Fuck HD. I took it to the dealership for the 1K mile service and the “tech” didn’t torque the primary cover bolts and it leaked. So yeah I took my chances with the void the factory warranty BS and it runs like a champ! 2019 Road King with 48K miles!
Absolutely, I’ve never relied much on it, it works, and I’m sure an update will come out that makes it worth using, but currently I usually just play music through my Sena to my in helmet speakers and run maps on my phone mounted on my bars..
Not hot at all for me, SP Concepts does offer a heat shield kit for this exhaust that I can get if it bothers me during summer. But we get very mild summers here in wa state and I don’t get stuck in traffic much.

I love it!! It’s standard stainless!!
Great video.. What are the torque specs on the head bolts? Sry if u already covered it.
I appreciate the question and I actually don’t have an answer for you on that I’m sorry, I torqued by feel with the gaskets compressing, haven’t run into any exhaust leaks, that’s all I can tell you..
Thanks for response. I will prb do the same.
Mine is on the way.. Im also wondering 🤔 Does the pipe get hot on your leg? And what air intake to go with. 😏
That's exhaust sounds cherry baby
Thank you sir!!🍻
Looks and sounds good! 😎⚡️🤙
Thank you, I’m loving it, thanks for tuning in!
@@OffWeekGarage Oh sweet ! Sounds like a good plan. I will likely do the same . Thanks man. Ride safe .
Curios why you went with the full length and not the mid length.
Nice pipe, no shields?
No shields for now, they sell some but I don’t love the look. The beauty of this pipe should be left to show!
Gorgeous bike with the 2-1 as well as the seat. Just grabbed a black one myself. Subbed🎉🎉🫶🇺🇸
Is this a EPA compliance exhaust? Or Non? I’m wondering because I have a 24RG but don’t want to void my Warrenty. Thanks!
What tail tidy fits the new 24?
Nice pipe but makes to much noise for use in europe where i live. Whe use/need more and more exhausts with controlable sound. Examples as Kesstech or Jekyll & Hyde. These aren’t cheap… 😭
Yeah, I'd say it's loud as fuck... good for you!
It is loud but not too loud, depending on throttle input and load with hills 😅
Impact wiring solutions offers a PnP ECU for your 2024 vvt
I also hope you upgraded the radio before hand because you arent going to hear anything.
I don’t usually use the radio. I have upgraded speakers in my helmet. I may upgrade the bike’s stereo eventually but it’s low on my priority list currently.
@OffWeekGarage what headset do you use?
@@Bamlydean I use a Sena 10S with upgraded JBL speakers. I have since upgraded to stage 2 speakers since I needed to upgrade amp for my tour pack speakers. That video is coming next!
@@OffWeekGarage are the non harley davidson sennas?
Is HD still a stickler with their factory warranty these days?
I hear they are, I don’t care. I’m going full send with this one!
Hell yeah man!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!!
Can someone tell me the torque spec for the header bolts. Thanks in advance.
21:22 looks like you have the car play issues that everyone is having now also
Absolutely, I’ve never relied much on it, it works, and I’m sure an update will come out that makes it worth using, but currently I usually just play music through my Sena to my in helmet speakers and run maps on my phone mounted on my bars..
what kind of jacket is that your wearing when ur riding with the new pipe?
Hoodie and a Thrashin’ vest!
Did you have to get your bike retuned?
Does it affect the warranty?👀
Nope! Not tuned so warranty is not jeopardized.
The shot of the bike on the outro got me wacked! Looks backwards or something, like where's the pipe?!
It was backwards, it was on the B side and camera flipped around on me!
@@OffWeekGarage Nice Install
How was the heat from the pipes?
Not bad at all but traffic in the summer I’ll have to check back in with you guys. With these new bikes being water cooled it may not be as bad
Great video
What windshield did you install
Harley Davidson 10” Windsplitter
I need your heat sheilds
I’m keeping all the factory parts off the bike..
How’s the fuel mileage now with that pipe
What exhaust gaskets did you use; flat style or bowl shaped? Were they supplied with exhaust?
I reused the stock ones! No exhaust leaks 1000 miles later!
what windshield do you have
Harley Davidson 10” Windsplitter!
does it get hot on your legs or passenger legs wo heat shields
Not hot at all for me, SP Concepts does offer a heat shield kit for this exhaust that I can get if it bothers me during summer. But we get very mild summers here in wa state and I don’t get stuck in traffic much.
I can attest that it doesn’t affect the passenger at all! 😊
What license plate frame is that ?
Custom dynamics, check out my earlier videos and you’ll see my install.
@@OffWeekGarage I did ! One is ordered and on the way ! Thanks for leading the way with the 2024s I want a windshield and my 18” bars installed
was that Stainless or the polished?
