There's a harness right under the radiator, plug and play. Then control the fog lights by holding the menu button for a couple of seconds (after you enabled them in the infotainment system). Tim's Audio sells the harness for $40. Well worth it! no need to run a long harness anywhere and no need for an extra button :)
You make it all look so easy. Can I just get mine delivered to your place, you knock out some mods and ship it out? 🤣🤣 I know this is all old content but I’m diggin this channel. 🤘🏼🤙🏼
I appreciate that, that’s such a compliment, never know where life will go, maybe one day I do something like that!😅 for now, I appreciate you watching and being a part of making this stuff awesome!🤜🤛
Nice work mate. Looks sweet. Had to laugh when you commented on feeling nervous with the wiring when you accessed under the tank. That stuff makes me jittery to begin with every time. 😂 Greetings from Australia btw and keep up the good work. Your content is on point.
Looks great! My only concern is does your toes kick the back of the light? Looks close to shifter. I wear those damn square toed ariats. Still sweet looking set up!
There is a pre wired fog light plug up under the front part of the engine… wired my morimoto banger fogs up that way into the plug. Seamless and then you simply activate fogs in your set up in the infotainment and it gives you a button on the screen for fogs.
I’m aware, thank you for letting others in this comment section know. You can get the harness from Harley or Tim’s Stereo. I don’t like having to navigate through multiple screen steps to turn them on or off and then you have to go to HD to get a flash done so you can run them with high beams. I can turn these on or off in a second no matter what lighting mode im in. Granted it is a lot more work.
I could see if you’re in live in the country how you would possibly want both. For me I found that them switching off when you turn on the high beams to be a huge benefit. When you flash your high beams rapidly to get cagers attention it not only flashes the high beams buy alternate up and down. It graphs their attention so quickly. It’s like have police lights up front.
I plan on doing something similar as well! Nice job man! Not sure I will trim the bracket but plan on painting the bracket gloss black to match everything I think.
Thank you sir! Still holding up like the day I installed, going to be powdering mine soon with some other stuff. I would suggest trimming the bracket up, if the lights hang down too low below the crash bar your feet can hit the lights when using your controls!
what's funny is the second the video started I thought to myself props to my man for being so focused on what he's doing that he cuts his own hair. 50 seconds later...🤦♂....🤣😂🤣 Keep rocking brotha
Looks great !!! You did it correctly and not half ass by just zip tying the harness along the crash bar . Haircut ??? Going for the Morgan wallen party in the back look ??? Just kidding lol
Could you not use the led fog lamp wire harness from Hd? I want the same lamps but wired to factory harness. Great job on the placement of those lights 👍🏼
I have the same Baja S1 on my '21 RGS and that yellow light, and especially for me its more for daytime riding here in the crazy SoCAL freeways makes my bike standout among the sea of white LED lights from car and trucks...However, I may have to just do it with brackets on a potential CVOST coming soon...
How do you like the wind splitter wing shield? I have the Klock Werks flare but actually really like the look of the Harley one? What size do you have and what’s your height is you don’t mind me asking?
This looks awesome! in fact, i just created my "installation manual" written up based on your really good step by step explanation and I'll be copying your work 1:1 with the BajaDesign S2 Pro's :-). One question I hope you can help me with: how do I remove the radiator shroud?? It's not shown in the video.. and when i check the installation guide for the flat out bar it mentions turn fork left and pull shroud straight off.. is it that simple? (I thought to ask as i really don't want to break anything on a new bike..) Thanks and enjoy the miles on your great motorbike!
I'm going to try the same thing with the S2. But I think there's a purpose for the wider gap between the bracket and the lamp and that is the air flow that prevents it from overheating. Or is it not getting that hot?
@@gertklay I’ve had absolutely no issues, even dead of summer. The heat sink is on the back, not the top, there’s still room for air flow! I would recommend trying to get them as far up as possible as I did or you may run into issues hitting them with your toe of your boot depending on your floor board and control setup/how you use everything. I don’t have any issues but I know some who have even with billet mounting as intended
Haven’t rode in years and today I test drove a 2024 road glide and after my hands were numb. Does anyone know why that happened ? I never had that happened when I used to ride years ago
No prior military service, but I’ve been an MMC holding maritime engineer since 18 yrs old, so most of my career Ive sailed under ex navy submariners and surface dwellers. I’m plenty messed up like the rest of them.🤣
I didn’t want to have to get it programmed to be able to use it with the high beams and I didn’t want to have to rely on the infotainment working my way thru the settings to turn them on. I can turn them on and off with a flick of a switch this way, personally preference. And later on if I want to change it up, I’ll already have the switch installed for onboard lighting like rock lights.
I thought about that, but doesn’t seem to be an issue. Unfortunately the front crash bar has already been tested and held up just fine, minus the end puck getting scraped up.
That looked like a whole lot of work, I do like the clean install - hate zip tied wires that show, but would have been nicer if the lights came on with ignition and off when shut down.
That’s a nice set-up you have. I installed a pair of Morimoto 2 bangers on my flat out bars. I connected directly to the existing unused HD harness behind the radiator.
Why not wire to the dedicated fog light harness? Would have prevented all the tank removal and all the extra fluff. The fog light harness is under by the horn with a dummy plug.
Good question, couple reasons. I love doing things the hard way, I wanted to have quick and easy control of the lights on and off without having to rely on going thru menus on the infotainment screen, I didn’t want to have to go to Harley to get them flashed to work with my high beams. And IF I ever want to go with that route, I have a dedicated harness and switch preinstalled now for my future intended accent lighting. Kills multiple birds with one stone for my particular scenario and allows me to bring more diverse content for you guys, I appreciate the questions and you taking the time to watch!🙌
@@OffWeekGarage makes sense, hopefully more cpu/flashing access is possible in the future with these bikes to allow for those mods. the empty 12 pin harness plug is a power source as well, throws out 2 full time power and one accessory on power only. Soundz sells the harness plug.
Should’ve just depended the plug and then repent it because now if you ever have to service the crash bar or service the Lights you’re dealing with soldering wires

I like the way you do things, Very professional and clean. Probably better than 90% of any of the shops that would have done it.

Best comment so far 🤣

Thanks for tuning in!🫶
thanks for the video, it actually helped me figure out how to install the riders backrest
Nice and clean and approved by your 4 leg QC inspector.😂
Wow! Great job, great install, looks nice. Very impressed and surprised with the amount of light they produce at night. Keep up the good work.

Funny you ask, if WAS a little close, keep an eye out for my next video in the next couple days. That is addressed and no longer an issue!

Well worth the effort!
Very well installed, clean and thought out. Not mine thing as far as looks but well done.

Very clean install!👊🏾👍🏾
Thanks brotha!🤝⚡️
Great video! Very clean install!👊🏾✌🏾
Good Job 👍🏻👌
clean install, however you could have wired directly to the factory switched aux plug located below the frame just behind the radiator.
Did you use the set up menu on the bike before messing around with the electric system? Wondering if you had any faults after the installation?
Bike is actually pre wired for fog lights! Turn on in system! You did a fine job that way as well
Great job🚀

Trigger the relay with a plug that gets power when ignition is turned on. Eliminates the need for the ugly switch
