Good day everyone, I own a brand new geely Coolray in September 2020. Now it's mileage is more than 12, 000kms. I'm leaving in Manila, but my base of work id legaspi city, Albay. I've already used my Coolray for twelve times back and forth legaspi vv Manila. I didn't encountered any problem, but an enjoyment of comfort, fast driving out running bigger car engines, and most of all fuel efficiency and fun driving. With proper care of maintenance, I am expecting the car to comfortably surpass its 5 yrs @ 150,000 kms warranty. I really love my Coolray. Please stay safe and healthy. Godless always. Ty everyone.
hope Geely will compete more and improve their overall sales, prices, reliability, aftermarket services, parts, etc. This way, the leading car makers will be forced to decrease their vehicle prices down the road because of tough competition.
I am in South Africa and have a Geely 1.3Lc (Panda). I have had her for 9 years of trouble free motoring. Before the Geely I have had BMW; Ford; Alfa and Wolsley. The Geely is the best so far. Only problem is that there is a very poor distributor here. Hoping that Geely will rectify this soon.
Excellent info as always, I am a proud owner of Geely Azkarra 4wd and I cannot say any negative things about this wonderful car. Even the aircon and sound system is superb as well as agile handling. To those nay sayers, please try to test drive and compare to the same price range cars before saying negative things.
Another thing to add, they also have another electric sub brand directly under Geely called "GEOMETRY" which is also making waves in China. ZEEKR is an electric sub brand under "Lynk & Co.". Such a giant manufaturer.
Too big, perhaps. Not focused enough. General Motors started creating re-badged brands to the extent that brand had no distinctive value. They were forced to shrink down to core brands to stay alive. Unfortunately, some useful brands, like Pontiac Solstice got eliminated

Interesting review. These cars just entered the market here in Panama and are sold through the Honda dealerships. My wife loves them but I resisted because it is an unknown product. This video is full of good info. Would be nice to have a video that goes into the engines on these cars. For example I avoided buying a Honda CRV (22) because it has a turbo which causes fuel leakage into the lubrication system. Safety is always an issue with Chinese products and we see that here with this Australian reveiw: Geely made a tentative entry to the Australian market when Western Australian importer John Hughes Geely launched the Chinese brand in 2010 with the Geely MK hatch, which had the distinction of being the cheapest car sold on the local market at the time. Plans called for the larger EC7 sedan to be introduced, but when it failed to pass the company's safety bar those plans were put on hold. In Malaysia the coolray is called X50. And there are so many bad reviews. One guy’s engine seized on the highway at just 50km!!!! Give it 2-3 year ph owners will start experiencing issues
some owner here are confident because of the first owners. The review you might get are biased based to ridicule some brand. Theyll not invest to lose money and dont worry since its already tested by Pilipinos we surely get either same of higher quality.

I was one of those who was scepticil toward China made vehicles - but after watching your video Sir (and many other videos) if I was to purchase a new vehicle tomorrow, it would be a Coolray - I have previously owned three Subaru STi and I relate to turbo cars - I live in San Fernando Pampanga and we have a local dealer in town
While it's a given that the coolray can easily outrun other crossovers, I'm curious how it's able to handle the turns. I'm having a hard time finding a review that scrutinizes the handling of it. Can anyone comment how it handles compared to other Crossovers?
@@ReygansRides How's the grip compared to other models in the segment? I had unsettling experiences with a certain crossover back from 2014 that had a lotta wheel spin on a wet parking building incline. I'm wondering how it is with the Coolray.
@@lostwanderingdrifter Tire grip depends on several factors, with the biggest factor being tire tread thickness. Newer tires have better grip. Pro tip on wet inclines: When negotiating a wet and steep incline, it would be best to turn off traction control and just manage traction with your gas foot. Traction control kills power to the wheels when it detects slippage, making it tough to go up a wet and steep incline.
@@ReygansRides I commonly encounter it when going up a parking building coming in with wet tires on a rainy day. Waiting for the entrance ramp to come up means I have to start up from standstill which gives me the trouble going up. Thanks so for the tip I'll try that next time.

Any news if the fy11 is coming to PH?
sayang walang aircon vent sa likod ang coolray... but yeah, it's our next ride for sure.
It's still pretty cool at the back. 👍
Meron Pero under the driver and passenger seat siya, Di siya visible
Informative! GAC naman next
Thanks! Working on it.👍
Geely EV available here in the Philippines?
not yet.
Daimler isn't under Geely directly, but under Li Shufu, the founder of Geely, who owns around 10% of Daimler.
Great info
Owning Volvo and part of Mercedes Benz does not make you dependable or reliable, both Volvo and mb are way down when it comes to reliability !
Name if the game is to surpass the previous design. Nobody would invest to lose some money.
Funny how they worship the volvo brand but after having owned 2 volvos, i’d steer clear from geely because you already know!
Sir Reygan Geely is not here for only a year. Parang re-entry cya. It has been here before, around 2014 or 15. I have a C! Mag car guide collection and meron nang Geely cars sa list, but i think not under Sojitz
Yes, the context for the video is Geely's re-entry into the Ph market under SGAP.
My friend has it, over a year na. Walang issues. Fun to drive pa din.
I hope you can also review cherry tiggo 7 pro.. 😊
I have a review of it already in the channel. 👍
Its a budget car, chinese but reliable.
This will be around the streets more often.
why are they not
sold in USA
Geely may soon enter the US market if government allows it.
Haysss..
It's sportier than most, similar to the Mazda CX30
Juey still out. Will the transmission last? Will the engines last? Fancy electronics but will work for how long before it gives you problems?
Glad to see you well, Reygan!! Stay safe!
Thanks!
How bout changan brand, maxus, or other china brands?
Yes, I plan to feature more trivia videos on other car brands. 😊
How are the parts and after sales?
Hi Reygan, i like your confidence and reassurance on the quality of the Geely cars at large as I'm considering to buy the X50 or the X70. I prefer the X50 for size. But it is equipped with a DRY DCT, unlike the WET DCT in the X70. I've heard of DRY DCT problems in VW and Audi of old. Please tell me more ASAP what can you say about the reliability of Geely's DRY and WET DCT's? Thanks!
We dont have dry dcts here for geely. Only wet. Wet is good. 👍😊
reygan, what about gac motor?
in the works. 👍
I think its a good car for the price its offering
