Todd Keisling's most recent short story collection, Cold, Black, and infinite, is excellent. I am just started Red Grove that came in Night Worms, and it is giving cult vibes. I'm really enjoying it so far.

It's so good! I love old school Adam Nevill. He can write such scary stories.

I didn't really care for Black Sheep. Nothing was surprising or unique because i had already watched the new Sabrina the teenage witch which had the same twists! 😂 I also love Rosemary's Baby. Lock Every Door by Riley Sager is also similar, although not necessarily cultish.

Oh yes, Rachel Harrison! I love how fun her books are to read, how you just breeze through them. Love her dark humor, and the voices of the characters, flawed and annoying as they are. :) I though Black Sheep was okay, but I will always think of it fondly, because I figured out the twist very early on (both the nature of the cult and Vesper's ancestry), and that is very unusual for me, I'm usually always surprised. So when everything was revealed, I just basked in the glory of being one step ahead for once. Good times! :D

hahaha I love whenever I figure out a twist that would normally blind side me. It happens like once every two years. I did not see the twist in Black Sheep coming at all though, so that's awesome that you figured it out.

Hi Violet, I think, you need to read: "The Cursed Among Us" by John Durgin an Indie Author. I find the book really great and I want to read more from this author. The book is not necessary a "cult story" but has elements of "cult". It reminded me a little of "Sallow Bend"...... Anyway, I think you need to give this author a chance.
