Providence is also the hometown of none other than HP Lovecraft
I looking forward to give it a go.
❤❤❤❤ love this
I did not the way it ended. There has to be another value. I like the book but it need more it just can't end that way
This was the first Brom story I read and I really did like it. My biggest gripe though is the ending, with how built up Sheelbeth was, felt so anticlimactic
The ending of We used to live here was the weakest…
I think it’s going to be a good book year!!! 🙌
So I just recently found out this was a novel, I found out about it because of the youtuber CreepsMcPasta, and I was curious, like how much is different from the original reddit post and the novel? Is there more added? I guess those would be the main 2 questions.
I'm 3 stories into Pure Evil, and I'm enjoying it so far. I dont typically read short story collections, but for Triana, I will make an exception. Lol
The "No End House" was originally a creepypasta short story. As noted in another comment, it was loosely translated into a story on the Channel Zero television series.
❤These glasses are divine. At least you smile pleasantly in them.❤
❤These glasses are divine.❤
The worst part of hearing about all these new books is time... How am I supposed to wait for all of these new releases to come out? I want them now! Now now now! 😄
with a vengeance and the no end house sound really good
I have heard of Jeremy Bates, but haven't read anything by him yet. I actually own his book about the Suicide Forest in Japan.
Thanks for making the videos about the new books!
Keith Rosson's Coffin Moon comes out in September and I'm beyond excited for that. If you've never read anything by him, Fever House is phenomenal.
I didn't enjoy the book. I was hoping for more insight into the creatures, but instead, I was left with ambiguity and descriptions that felt overly drawn out. Bob was a rather underwhelming villain-nothing particularly memorable about him. Overall, it wasn’t an enjoyabel read
Will there be basketball in Buffalo Hunter Hunter, though?
It will be odd stilted prose first then basketball..
My Wife and I stayed in the Gothic Quarter over the summer! Incredible place! Barcelona itself is maybe the most beautiful city we've ever been to (with maybe the exception of Rome). The No-End House sounds great. One of the four seasons of Channel Zero was called "No-End House," and it was amazing and insane. I'm just now getting own my channel off the ground, and it's so much fun! I do book and movie rambles/reviews, etc. if anyone is interested, LOL
Just for your own records, Violet, "Father Gaetano's Puppet Catechism" is actually an older story, from 2012 or 2013. It is possible that you latched on to a new edition or first hardcover or something.
N.galilea's THE GALILEA REPORT ~Would love to hear your thoughts on that crime thriller ~ NONFICTION
That Fracassi book sounds like it may have some of Joe Lansdale's "Bubba Ho-Tep" in it.
Been waiting for Joe Hill to release a new novel. Will be buying it.
Ooh interested in the one from Jeremy Bates, he's written another novel around the suicide forest in Japan. He writes a lot about "the world's scariest places." Thank you for putting so much time into these videos!
Love Riley Sager!
This book is the only one I haven't read yet.
I read a few books by Jeremy Bates. Enjoyed them .
❤❤❤
Bone white is scary
You made me rethink my opinion of this book which is a great thing. I don’t read a lot of horror- I tend towards literary fiction and I’m fine with a lot of character development and a little meandering plot- however I think you’re totally right about the ending. I don’t think it sends a good message that she killed innocent people and got away with it. Another thing that kind of annoyed me was that at the end she slips George pills in his cranberry juice and it goes down without him waking or choking and he dies instantly??! That was very unbelievable to me. I also told my husband the brain tumor subplot did nothing to advance the narrative bc she still murders mercilessly after it’s removed. There were lots of flaws but because I liked her writing and devoured the book in a single day I felt like I had to give it 4.5 stars. You bring up good points, I need to reassess lol
I believe King Sorrow is supposed to be Joe Hill's version of IT
Thkugh this book is older, the premise essentially makes me think of The Shards by Bret Easton Ellis.
Holly is also in Mr Mercedes
I checked it out from the library and tried reading it, but i couldnt finish it. I wasnt getting into it.
Congratulations on your own bar!!!!! Yay!!!
Holly is phenomenal, and one of his best. Really nasty villains and Holly....you can't go wrong.
Violet, Alex North (aka Steve Mosby) is Amazing Writer. All of his 4 Books under "Alex North" are great (Creepy Thrillers with Horror Elements). His books are intended for intelligent readers and are very smart and complex. I already read "The Man Made of Smoke" and gave it 5 Stars. I was a little worried that I didn't see the new book from Ania Ahlborn on your last Video.... 😉. By the way... Where is "Riley Sager - With a Vengeance" (12/06/25)? On the next video I guess. Until next time......
I am also looking forward to each of these. Oh and I believe Philip Fracassi has a third book coming out in September, The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre. 😮 Sounds good to me!
I look forward to hear what you will think of Holly. Won't say anything more.
❤❤❤ love this
Sounds like you wanted to dislike it from the jump
I've pre-ordered The Vengeful Dead. I am so sad it's going to end but I'm sure it'll be great! I am a big Stephen Graham Jones fan so I'm picking up a copy of Buffalo Hunter Hunter and also planned to pick up Nowhere Burning by Catriona Ward. I didn't realize Ronald Malfi was coming out with a full length novel nor that Joe Hill was coming out with new stuff. Thanks for the heads up. Will probably pick those up too.
May I suggest The Quiet Tenant by Clemence Michallon as a thriller which is simple in prose yet a truly great story.
I loved Sophie but I wish the author went full into her being evil or messed up. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop that like Annie wasn't actually getting powers but it was actually Sophie stalking her and messing with her. I give the book like 2.5 out of 5.
All Hallows was one of my favorite books of 2024. I loved it.
Very enjoyable. Took notes. Subscribed and thank you!
I'm excited for these, plus the new Ania Ahlborn, The Unseen, in August! 🙌
I know this is an oldddd video, but I had to add that there IS a movie (maybe you already know this by now)! I'm about 3/4 of the way through the book now, and I want to finish it so that I can watch the movie 😅 I also feel like the Dr's storyline is more fast paced, and there is so much more story to be told through him.
I had to take a break from horror due to a stressful year so I missed out on a bunch of books, but taking notes because we have similar takes.
Couldn’t agree more! What a let down. I was all in up until the ANTS. Why ANTS??!
13:13. There's no "e" at the end of Levin. It's not Le-veen. It's Lev-in. EYE-ra LEV-in. Accent on the first syllable for both names.
I read _Stolen Tongues._ _It wasn't that great._ It just kept repeating the same old thing and taking forever to get to the point. And, _it wasn't even scary._ I don't know why people go on about it. Plus, I think it was self-published by some low quality printer because half the pages were falling out of my library copy, and I saw videos where other people's copies were misprinted so that the words were too close to the edge of the page and got cut off so that you could see black print when the book is closed and you're looking at the edges. And some chapters were printed _upside down!_ It seemed like the book was homemade. That was my first thought the instant I saw the front cover. It didn't look professional like other books. It was too simplistic. And my instinct was right. I could also tell you of my consternation at the climax but I don't want to give away any spoilers.
