Dude it absolutely blows my mind that this was released in 2008! ... I can't say this with enough emphasis, the metal gear franchise is an absolute barn burner, its not just a video game its an experience, a holy experience that anyone who's got the time should invest in, Hideo and his team have managed to design and develop IMO one of the most ground breaking video game franchise ever ... It pains me to see Snake have to deal with the shitty hand he's dealt in this iteration i actually have never felt so emotionally invested in a game as i have for the metal gear franchise, this franchise is everything to me and i'm even thinking about getting a tattoo at some point to have it on my body till the day i die, its made that much of impact in my life, anytime i come back to Metal Gear Solid the first release on PS1 i get this nostalgic feeling that washes of me thats hard to explain but their in lies my childhood and thank you to everyone at Konami for making these memories.
This game is in my top 3 gaming experiences of all time. The amount of nostalgia this game brought me was insane. Everything about this game was so new and different. From the interactive cut scenes, to the flashbacks that allow you to play PS1 metal gear. It really made you feel emotionally invested.
That thing has technology like five centuries ahead. That has anti gravity electromagnetic flying, blink shift jumps and hacking capabilities of mechanized units. It's insane how that thing achieved such technology.

@@twonulator I liked 5 but to say 2&5 are top over 3&4. Nah fam, those two aren’t even in the same stratosphere for me and if I were to breakdown why. It would be pages. Though I really love 2. I’ve basically played all of them a million times from beginning to end over the years. It depended on my mood. Each game has a certain tone. I love how 2 starts in the rain. 2 to me feels more espionage. 3, the tone is war in the jungle, that vintage feel due to what time period it took place. So, there were times I was in the mood for that. When I’m in the mood to go more abroad, that Mission Impossible, John Wick type like vibe. I go with 4. 5, had a darker tone. So, yeah, it all depended on my moods.

Listen Snake, scouting is based on the principles of hunting. There are two fundamentals; awareness and tracking. Awareness refers to locating a trail and paying careful attention to your surroundings. Tracking means to follow that trail. You need to feel for clues using all of your senses - sound, smell, touch the direction of the wind. Watch how the animals move. Listen for unusual bird calls. These are sign that someone may be disturbing the enviornment nearby. You sound like a ninja. Exactly Ninja are the 3:56:35
I got this game like in January 2010. It was my first time owning a first generation PS3 so this game with all that glossyness was so memorable. Brings back good times during junior to senior years in high school.
I always wonder why Kojima didn't keep this "percent camo" thing in the MGSV, it's just amazing and would make a big difference in gameplay, not that it was missed, but it's weird not to have and would be better with it.
I think of it as just more things you need to pay attention to when in MGSV you have only one suppressor per weapon, limited ammo which you need to often replenish with a supply drop, health in the form of an ever increasing amount of blood on the screen, your fulton reserve, your suit/armor, your grenades/mines/decoys/c4, an ever increasing amount of enemies with better and better armor and weaponry, and your buddy. Having to worry about camo past using different boxes and suits when you do a sortie-prep would just add another thing to worry about.
@@omniscientbarebones In terms of gameplay i really have to agree with you. There are already so many factors to worry about that one more would be boring. But I would try to substitute some of these other more detailed elements.

Despite the flaws some people may find with the game, you can’t deny the final boss was not if not one of the greatest boss fights in video game history
This movie game never gets old, classic gem 💎 👌
I’m 22 years old now. Remember playing this when I was just like 10 years old. What a masterpiece of a game 🙏
23 years old. Still a masterpiece. Cant wait for metal gear remake soon
@@Chino_Eraser2001 23 here aswell. Yall needa remake asap
That thing has technology like five centuries ahead. That has anti gravity electromagnetic flying, blink shift jumps and hacking capabilities of mechanized units.
It's insane how that thing achieved such technology.
I have never seen someone playing beautifully and with elegance like you...Watching you playing, is a nice experience
my one and only favorite MGS. this one is hands down the only mgs game i still have from my ps3 days not to mention the guidebook too. wish they would remaster all of the mgs games and bring them to next gen consoles.
You didn't like mgs3? 4 is great. But I choose to hold on to all of 1 through 5. They're all great.
@@Paige098 I was thinking the samething, MGS3 is Legend. 3&4 are definitely my fav 2 out of the franchise.
@@Paige098 i did not care for it....i know most people adore it but for me this one is my all time favorite. then next would be 2, 3 and then 1
You guys don’t like 5? 2 and 5 were top imo
From 5:48:20 to 5:52:08 the most cinematic moment in the game!! Love it!
Also, did you noticed that in Big Mamma's bike plate you can see the EU flag but instead of a country initials it says MGS? Hehehe nice touch.
10:21:29 after the final gameplay it amazes me that there’s still an hour left of cut scene. I still will say that this is the best interactive movie ever.
11:08 The Legend himself! Solid Snake 🙏🏽

Fun game: tap anywhere on the timeline and see how many cut-scenes you land on before you hit gameplay 🤣😂
Your comment is lonely, pathetic and impopular.
10:23:40 Otacons monologue combined with the score is so beautiful. One of my favorite scenes in the game full of incredible moments.
I believe this is the satysfiying conclusion to the Metal gear series as a whole chronologically. Unless you count Metal Gear Rising.
This game still looks good today, this video is like an 11 hour long movie :) , I bought this game the day it was released, and I took my time to finish it, because I knew Konami wasn't going to release another one for several years.
The whole Series is just too good to be true. Super underrated games!

Man that intro...MGS 1-4 all pull you in from the first second. I'm unable to even quickly start one of them without finishing them.
I forget how sad this game was. Especially seeing Solid in this condition
As soon as MGS Delta comes out I'm gonna replay the entire series. I can't wait to replay MGS 4 again. It was one of my favorite games backs in the day.
I remember i play mgs4 when i was like 10 years its so beatiful seeing it again 🥹
I never was a big fan of Metal Gear. I Played MG Solid on the PSX, but I never finished it, wasnt my type of game back then. Years later I played MG 4 on the PS3 and... i got so hooked, i dont know why. Really loved the game. Made me want to check all the MG games. Went back to MG Solid and beat it, loved every second of it.
First game I ever played in my life, I was 4 years old. I’ll never forget the Rex and ray fight at the end. That was always my favorite part when I was younger 😂

*Amazing Story Lines, Amazing Gameplay, Amazing Romantic & Love And Story, And History Leason, Etc. PS1 Remake game is Masterpiece. 11 Out of 10! my favorite 2010's and 2000's Game all of times! Thank you Old Konima, And Mostly Kojima! you are best & Awesome game developer history all of time!*
The multiplayer of this game was extremely good also, not only the main story. Unfortunately people hack the game and multiplayer was not funny anymore since people cheat on it.
U can still play it, look up savemgo
I started playing MGR and it got me to go back into Metal Gear again. I played MGS2 again on April 30th. Even though 3 is my favorite, I can't wait to make it back to 4. Probably had the weakest story of them but that's not an insult in the MGS series. It wrapped up the story perfectly, set up Raiden and had the best gameplay at the time.
i dare to say if you look at how tought out & deep a narattive is mgs3 had the most generic story of the series. I like mgs4 'cus it just a mess all in all with bonkers lore and weird ass cutscenes ofc mgs2 had the best story no doubt.
How can you say that it has the worst storyline?! Are you serious?! It's best along with the third one
@@ayboz097 i like the solid snake games more than the big boss/naked snake games due to how much more they fuck with your head. the big boss games, while absolutely great in their own league, are pretty generic compared to the solid snake games.
For someone who loves metal gear for some reason I only replay 2 and 3 especially 3
Jack, do you know what day it is today?

This game was dystopian in 2008 and has become frighteningly accurate in 2023
Listen Snake, scouting is based on the principles of hunting.

I haven’t played this game in along time. Very nice video, I love the hole thing. You did a extremely good job.
How are you playing this on the PS5?
The last seconds of this game with “the sun is rising again”, that broke me man. I love the Metal Gear Franchise.
1:03:32 funniest cutscene for me😂😂
This movie is so cool, it even lets you play sometimes
I got this game like in January 2010. It was my first time owning a first generation PS3 so this game with all that glossyness was so memorable. Brings back good times during junior to senior years in high school.
That opening part with Hayter being condescendingly interviewed still feels awkward all these years
I love this game. This and MGS3 are my favorites.
Even today i'm still playin every Metal Gear still have a PS1 Ps2 and ps3
Perfect for the October month
7:19:54 these flashback voice clip came from the Nintendo GameCube remake of MGS
